Chase’s POV

I had to wait for Arnold to come out of the restroom because I couldn’t go in with him, and fortunately, the restroom area was spacious enough, so we could both have a conversation.

If he would indulge me anyway…

After a moment of waiting, he eventually came out.

“Good evening, Arnold,” I greeted him.

My voice came out more shakily than I had thought that it would, and that was because I was still finding it hard to believe that I was standing right in front of Arnold. He had seemed like a human that was far from my reach.

This was really Arnold, in flesh and blood, and standing so close to me that if I simply raised my hand, I could touch him.

I really should thank Carmen Vega for bringing me to this event, or party, or whatever the heck it was because quite frankly, I still hadn’t grasped the essence or meaning of this.

“Yes, do I know you?” Arnold asked without even responding to my pleasantry.
