Chapter XII: A Strange Thing Called Love

When I saw how the man calmed down my Mom, I immediately wiped the tears that fell on my cheeks and then I ran to them. I also saw how those young guys who had been mocking my Mom started to look at each other and waywardly dashed away from them.

"Are you okay, Mom?" I worriedly asked my Mom when I got close to them. I hugged her tightly and when I felt that she was calm, I began to feel at ease.

I’ve already known since last night that something like this might happened. I should’ve just persuaded Aunt Emily to come with us. Or I should have just refused Aunt’s idea of going here today. If we didn’t come here alone, I am sure she won’t get triggered like this.

I gently took off the suit that the man covered my Mom with. And I was flabbergasted when the moment I faced him to give it back, I realized that it was Damon.
