Chapter XXIX: A New Dawn

The next day dawned bright and clear, the golden rays of the sun casting a warm glow over the city as I made my way to work. As I entered the Blue Apple, I couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation that fluttered in my chest, a sense of curiosity about what the day might hold.

But as I stepped through the door, my eyes widened in surprise at the sight that greeted me. There, sitting at the bar with a cup of coffee in hand, was Damon, his expression serene as he exchanged pleasantries with Leo, the bartender.

I blinked in disbelief, unable to shake the sense of astonishment that washed over me at the sight of Damon's early arrival. It was rare enough for patrons to visit the pub at such an early hour, let alone someone like Damon, whose presence seemed to command attention wherever he went.
