CHAPTER 5
On his way downstairs, Richie met John.
John couldn't help but observe Richie, he knew he's actually done something to Kate and the look on Richie's face said it all.
"Shit!." John mumbled.
Richie stared at John wondering what's actually wrong with him, but he decided not to read any meaning to it.
"Come with me to my office." He said, and he left, with John trailing behind him.
Few minutes later, they arrived at Richie's study, and they both walked in, then they took a seat.
"There's something I want you to do John."
Richie said and John furrowed his brows, he could feel the seriousness behind Richie's words.
"I'm listening." John said.
Richie cleared his throat, and he stared intensively at him.
"Can I trust you?." Richie said.
"Of course Boss, you can, you know I can never betray you." John said.
"I'm happy you said it yourself, I'll kill you even before you think of betraying me." Richie said, as if John's life means nothing to him.
"What's it Boss?." John asked, he's already used to Richie's threats.
"I want you to fake Kate's death." Richie said, and John's eyes were wide open in shock.
"What!!." John half yelled.
"You can't do that? that'll only worsen things between you and Gordon, what if he finds out?." John asked.
"He won't, and if he does, I don't give a fuck about it." Richie stated.
"Or are you gonna rat me out?." Richie asked.
"You know me Boss, I'll never betray you." John hurriedly said.
"If you can't betray me, then do what I told you without complaining." Richie groaned.
"Boss, do you really want to do this, what if Gordon finds out?." John asked again.
"You shouldn't be bothered about any of those, just do as I say and stop asking foolish and irrelevant questions." Richie said coldly.
"I'm sorry." John said with a little bow.
"Good, I want it done latest today." Richie said and John nodded.
"Be sure to plan this properly, I don't want it to be traced back to us." Richie warned.
"Yes boss." John replied, he knew he couldn't afford to say now, that'll only get him on Richie's bad side.
"That's all, you may leave now." Richie said authoritatively.
John stood up, he bowed, then he left.

Night time....Lord Gordon was seated in his living room, having a talk with Sparrow, his right hand man.
"How can we get to that bitch?." Lord Gordon asked.
"I can't believe she played a fast one on me." Sparrows said.
"She can't run forever, well surely find her." Lord Gordon said.
Lord Gordon had already planned alot for Kate, he wanted her to have sex with a lot of men and she'll earn him alot if money.
Now all his plans was ended just because of her, and he'd be loosing a lot of customers.
"We need to find her Sparrow, this is something we should be serious about." Lord Gordon said.
Suddenly, one of his men rushed in, holding a cloth in his hand.
"Master." The man said with a bow.
Gordon frowned deeply, one thing he hates was to be interrupted in a discussion."I hope you have a reasonable reason for interrupting me, otherwise you should get ready to face your punishment." He said darkly.
His voice alone was enough to send cold shivers down the man's spine. The man swallowed nothing, Gordon's presence alone scares him.
"We found this somewhere in the area when we were searching for Kate." The man said, showing Gordon the hoodie which had blood stains on it.
Sparrow stood up quickly, then he rushed to collect the cloth from the man.
"And there's this too." The man said, giving Sparrow a ring.
Sparrow took the ring from the man, and he inspected it, he recognized the ring to be Kate's, it had her name engraved on it, this was actually a ring giving to the Strippers at Gordon's brothel, each ring carries the name of the owner, Kate's ring had a little blood stain on it.
Sparrow looked at Gordon whose face was red with anger.
"How is this possible?." Gordon barked.
"How the hell is this fucking possible, are you trying to tell me that the bitch is dead." His voice boomed with anger.
"Where is her damn body?." He questioned.
"W we couldn't find her body, this was all we found of her." The man stuttered, his head was bowed down, not daring to meet Gordon's gaze.
"Damn it." Gordon spat.
He stood up angrily and went to grab the man's neck, slowly choking him.
"I want the bitch's body found and brought to me, otherwise, I'll have your head cut off and serve it to the dogs." He threatened in a dark menacing voice.
"Y yes boss." The man managed to say, he was literally shivering and sweating profusely.
Gordon roughly pushed the man, and he would have falled had he not manage to hold himself.
"Come with me Sparrow, and you too." Gordon said, then he left, with Sparrow and the man trailing behind him.
They got outside and Gordon pushed the man to the floor.
"Where did you find her dress and ring?." Gordon asked.
"Over there." The man pointed.
Lord Gordon left him and he got there, surprisingly he found the stain of blood there.
He squatted down and he touch the floor and he sniff it, truly it was a blood.
He shook his head, still not believing his ears, mere clothing, the ring and everything dosen't prove that she's dead.
He turned to Sparrow and he said to him.
"I want everyone to search for her, she might still be alive." Gordon said.
"What if she's been abducted." Sparrow said.
"I don't think so, we're heavily guarded, no one can take her without my consent." Gordon said.
"What if someone from here abducted her?." Sparrow said.
"Who's the man she's supposed to meet last?." Gorgon asked.
"Richie Winston , He's a business tycoon." Sparrow said and Gordon smirked.
Days later…(Taormina, Sicily)“Please be quick about it..” Kate said to the hotel receptionist and quickly dropped the phone almost as soon as Richie waltzed out of the bathroom looking as though he was running an ad for a modeling agency. He looked so handsome in his bathrobe and had droplets of water on his hair and face which only made him look more breathtaking to Kate; and she couldn’t help but thank her stars for allowing her to get to meet someone as perfect as him.He was the perfect depiction of her childhood dream man; and sometimes she feared that he was just too good for her.Their eyes locked and held; and for a moment they were so enthralled by each other that nothing else mattered anymore. Not even the fact that they were clad in nothing but their birthday suit. Richie winked at her, making her blush fiercely. After a long while of comfortable silence, Kate let out a long sigh and screamed excitedly;“I still can’t believe that I’m right here in Atlantis bay! My dream
Chapter 91Kate“Stay back!” Jane growled fiercely but Kate couldn’t exactly say if she was yelling at her or at Richie. Her body shook with fear as she stared at the black metallic object clasped in Jane’s hands but she didn’t show her fear; She couldn’t bring herself to because she knew that that was exactly what people like Jane thrived on.She couldn’t give her that satisfaction. Before she came here, she had braced herself for the absolute worst; had expected Jane to pull a stunt like this from the very beginning that now it no longer surprised her.All she wanted right now was to get out of this situation unscathed. She didn’t care how she intended to do that but knew that that was her only aim.Ashley had told her that a thing like this would happen; had warned her and thankfully she had listened. At first she didn’t want to be scared but when she looked into Jane’s eyes, and saw the crazed maniacal look in them, her fear only intensified. This witch was crazy enough to do anyt
Richie.Richie wanted to snap. He was pissed at everyone’s overly bubbly attitude today and was beginning to wonder if the day was his or theirs. He couldn’t really say that the day was his though because he was practically being forced…more like threatened to do this.He still couldn’t comprehend why his grandfather would present him with a decision as difficult as this for his own personal interest, and it made him mad.The brightly lit air conditioned room still felt unbearably hot for Richie as he yanked uncomfortably at his necktie and glared against the high fluorescent lights that seemed to want to blind him.He didn’t care that his discomfort was being let out in the open and that the press could make a fuss out of it later, all he cared about was getting done with this accursed wedding ceremony and being back to the confines of his room.He drowned out the loud cheerful noises around him, wondering to himself why these people seemed a lot more happy that he was getting marrie
Richie.“Try it again and again.” The male voice from the tv spoke loudly but to Richie it felt like he was being spoken to.He loosened his tie, copying the gestures of the young magician on the screen and began mimicking the man’s actions.A few minutes went past, and after a while of copying the magician’s actions Richie decided to stop. It was no longer fun to him; in fact nothing felt like fun anymore. The world felt like it was spinning in circles, and to Richie everything was in a flux. He couldn’t say exactly what stand his life held right now or what its meaning was but knew he was simply going with the flow that came.Pressing the bottle of liquor to his lips, Richie took a big gulp and winced when the fiery liquid burned its way from the back of his throat down to his chest. He loved the feeling though, but the aftermath was what he disliked. He hated how it usually made him feel crappy and how his fingers shook like that of an epileptic person whenever he took it excessive
Richie‘Wait, something didn’t feel right.’ Richie thought to himself as he sat unmoving on the large red sofa he had adored as a kid but now it held no significance to him, and all he could think about was how to get out of it and fast.Right in front of him sat Jane and his grandfather Phillip and Richie could do nothing but glare at the both of them as they went about chattering between each other like he wasn’t in the room.Jane’s loud giggles infuriated him, even the way she had suddenly changed her sitting position into some sort of lazy style while she rubbed continuously on her flattened stomach. On a normal day, he would’ve sent her out of the house but this was his grandfather’s and not his… he had no right to do that here and that was her saving grace.“How aren’t you sure that this isn’t some sort of joke the same way you thought Kate had lied about being pregnant?” He snarled at his grandfather who seemed too enthralled with talking to Jane that nothing else mattered. To
RichieRichie staggered up the airy flight of stairs with only a bottle of chilled liquor clasped in his cold stiff hands.“One green bottle standing on the wall… one green bottle standing on the wall…” he sang drunkenly as he trudged upwards, absolutely oblivious to the shocked stares his workers threw at him as he walked past.Truth is, he didn’t even notice they were staring nor did he care if they actually did.He rubbed his hands again and again across his face to stop himself from falling asleep as he walked but that seemed as impossible as walking on eggshells and praying that it does not crack. His body suddenly shook with a kind of cold that he hadn’t experienced before but then he couldn’t quite explain if it was as a result of the weather or due to how cold he actually felt inside. He couldn’t bring himself to talk to anyone about how he truly felt…about how his dreams were constantly plagued with memories of Kate and how he felt he would go crazy soon if nothing was done a
