Isabella’s POV

I can’t believe Zander is the student I need to tutor. It seems surreal. As he’s out in the kitchen, I’m hit by the overwhelming guilt of cutting him out of my life a year ago. I did it to protect him from Antonio. I couldn’t bear for him to get hurt, but it doesn’t lessen my guilt. In fact, it makes it worse. The fact that I wasn’t willing to take the risk and stand up for our love kills me. I feel the need to explain it to him. To make him understand why I did what I did.
