Sofia’s POV

I wasn’t expecting Mandy to tell me those things. I don’t know how to reassure her that I won’t leave Marcus and that I will stay by his side no matter what happens, knowing that we only have a deal.

Seeing how she trusted me now, guilt kicked into my system. I think Marcus was hiding our true relationship with his sister just to reassure her that he was happy and fine.

“Is your hand okay now?” I asked him while placing his coffee on his table.

“I’m good, don’t worry,” He answered without looking at me. However, the way he treats me has also now changed a little bit. He’s not as cold as before.

"You will meet before lunch. Mr. Lim has already reserved a restaurant," I informed him, and he nodded, glancing at his laptop with his pen pointing at his chin.

“Is there anything else you want me to do for you?” I asked him. He shook his head. “No, nothing. Just do your work.” He answered. I saw his brow furrowed. Maybe his work stressed him up a little.

“A
