I stared at the bouquet of roses for a long time, rereading the sender's name several times. It was really him! Why would he send me flowers in the first place? Maybe he just made a mistake?

“You know,” Aunt Rabiya pointed at me. “You’re really something with men. You must have inherited your looks.”

I just shook my head. I had just finished cleaning the tables and chairs. The bartender was busy cleaning his counter and machine. Aunt Rabiya had finished the inventory and calculated the day's income.

“Maybe he just sent it to the wrong person,” I said, denying it. I didn't want to believe it. Because, first of all, what doctor sends flowers to their patient? NONE!

I saw Aunt Rabiya furrowed her brow. “He sent it to the wrong name and address?” she asked incredulously. “There’s no such thing, Heidi,” Aunt disagreed, her hand gesturing emphatically.

She sighed heavily. “If only the guys courting Shamcey were like that, then I wouldn’t have to worry so much,” she said. She sat down next t

I told Yzack everything about the memories that flashed back to me. How irritated I was that only a few memories returned to me over the years. How incredibly annoyed I was with myself for not being able to clearly see the flashbacks. Who the man was beside me, feeding me. Who he was in my life. Why I was so close to him. I asked Yzack several times if he had any idea who that man was. If he knew any men I had been close to before, besides him. But he didn't know. And he didn't know of any male friends I had.He calmed me down for several minutes—comforted me in my irritation. He kept telling me not to blame myself. That it wasn't my fault that I was in an accident. That I didn't want to lose my memories. All I needed was to take time for myself, to heal at my own pace. Not to rush it. Just to give myself a lot of patience to bring back all the memories I had lost over the years.

When Aunt Rabiya and Shamcey finally bid their goodbyes at us, there was an awkward silence between Blue and I. It was not just an awkward silence, it was a silence that screams nothing but uncomforting demeanor. Because right, he was still carrying me in his arms. I can clearly feel how masculine his sturdy chest is by the way he carried me. On the other hand, from the mirror in front of us, I saw how his biceps started to go hard because of my weight. Am I gaining weight lately? I can clearly see the vein on his arms. By the look of it, he looked like he was carrying a very heavy thing. But his face was still neutral. He was staring at my face, this is the reason why I just scratched my nape. Why does he need to stare at my face with that kind of intensity? It was not just uncomforting, it was also awkward! So awkward that I am starting to imagine bad things with him. WHICH should not happen because after all, he was my boss and that I should respect it no matter what had already

I woke up early in the morning. It was actually three in the morning when I woke my senses up. Despite knowing that today was the flight of Shamcey and Aunt Rabiya, I woke not solely because of that but also because I fell asleep early last night. I was so used to sleeping every twelve midnight, it was only last night that I managed to sleep as early as eight in the evening. I stood up and then stretched my body. I am only wearing a thin white tank top which is my usual clothing whenever I am sleeping. I was still sleepy when I put on another bra and then I chose to wear a shirt with a polka dots design. Right after that, I faced the mirror to check and then also fix my face. Once I was satisfied, I prepared myself to go out of my room. I was yawning when I decided to storm out of my room to prepare something. Aunt Rabiya and Shamcey are for sure busy preparing all their things. The best that I could do is to help them in preparation of their breakfast. It was still dark when I lef

I was so dizzy that very moment. All I could do was to just close my eyes and feel the pain on my head. I can clearly feel how I was elevated while I am lying on Boss Blue’s manly arms. It was total chaos in the house. I can clearly hear Yzack and Boss Blue to be frantic while we are heading outside of the house. On the other hand, Beatrice was crying loudly. She was really concerned by my current condition. It was a few minutes after they let me sit in the backseat. Yzack sat on the passenger’s seat while Ms. Anj and Beatrice were sitting beside me. Beatrice was trying everything to check if I am okay or not. I tried my best to open my eyes and that only rewarded me with the crying face of the kid. Her tears were unending. She was sobbing so hard as I reached for her hand. I squeezed it in the hope of her understanding that I am okay, that I cannot just put it into words because of the pain from my head but I am okay. In less than half an hour, we were able to reach the nearest ho

I awkwardly laughed at myself. Gosh, what am I thinking? I’m such a malicious person. “Just a little, Boss,” I said, still awkwardly laughing.“Even so.” He said seriously. His thick eyebrows were practically joined together. Yes, he’s annoyed. “You get drunk easily. What if…” His jaw tightened as he shook his head angrily.I swallowed as I saw his angry expression. It wasn’t obvious, but I was scared and a little flustered. “I didn’t drink outside,” I explained hesitantly. I don’t know why I need to explain. When in fact, it’s none of his business. This isn’t work-related for him to question my drinking. “Aunt Rabiya mentioned that she called you earlier. We had a family dinner and a little celebration, so Aunt Rabiya opened some red wine.” I was almost gasping for breath from my long explanation.I raised my right hand as if I was taking an oath. “P-Promise!” I said. “I only drank a little. I’m sure I can work tomorrow, Boss.”He just sighed. As I looked at him carefully, I could sa

I saw her furrow her brow, looking confused by what I had said and what I was offering her. “What’s this, cous?” She had no idea what was happening.“A gift,” I replied tersely, gesturing for her to take it from my hand.“I have a gift too?” she asked, taking what was in my hand with a puzzled expression. “It’s not my birthday,” she said with a grin. She looked at me as if she could read my mind.I narrowed my eyes at her. “You’re saying so much. Why don’t you just read what I gave you?” I said. She immediately followed my instructions. She looked at it and read it. Her mouth formed an ‘O’ as she reread the paper repeatedly. “Wait, a ticket?” she said incredulously, glancing at me.I just smiled at my cousin’s reaction. I often get annoyed with her, but I can’t deny that I consider her more than just a cousin; she’s like a sister to me. I’ve grown very fond of her, even though she can sometimes be infuriating.“Are you saying that Aunt and I will be traveling together to Japan?!”“Of
