"Are you sure the address you're talking about is correct, Shamcey?" I asked my cousin while we were walking here inside an exclusive village. My jaw almost fell as we passed by the huge and elegant residences. Only the wealthiest individuals and artists can afford to live in a place like this. We're currently looking for a house that I'll apply for, and if I pass the job interview, this will be my workplace.

She let out a sigh of annoyance. "Just so you know, you've asked me several times. You see, we've already asked the security guard. This is the exact spot he instructed," she explained to me, irritated.

I didn't even try to speak anymore.

I've actually asked if the address we're heading to is correct numerous times than I can remember. I am thinking too much that we might have ended up in the wrong residence or maybe I'm nervous as hell? Jeez. Never mind.

"Hey, Heidi? Let's throw a celebration at the club when you get hired, huh?" she reminded me. “Don't forget to pay for my drinks!" She added.

I look at this woman. She got upset by my repeated questions. She even kept telling me that when I started this work, we should have enjoyed ourselves at the bar. I just shook my head. As if I still wanted to go there again?!

"You decide what type of appreciation gifts I am going to present you, huh?" I grinned. "One more thing: don't get at ease. I haven't even been interviewed yet.” I trembled as I delivered those words. I'm really hoping I can pass so that I don't waste the time of Shamcey, who recently told her manager about me.

It's beneficial that I have a cousin who got hired into Convocar Corporation, one of the richest companies at the moment. Possibly because Shamcey has an excellent background, having studied and graduated in Canada, she really belongs here. It's really difficult to get into this kind of company. They have extremely high qualifications. Even though I graduated from a well-known university in our country, the chance or possibilities to work here as a professional is kind of low.

"That's what cousins are for!" She said as if she's singing. While I was busy reading the house number, my cousin stopped at a large and modern design gate. "Oh my God, Heidi, here it is!" She happily announced and then she immediately pressed the doorbell button.

My eyes widened at what she did.

"Are you sure?!" I panicked. I don't know what I should feel first—the nervousness of fear because I might not be able to pass or be happy right away.

A few minutes had gone by when someone opened the door. It's a woman. If I'm not mistaken, she is in her forties. She was wearing thick glasses and appeared to be wearing a formal office uniform. "Shamcey, is she the one you say is your cousin who will apply?"

"Yes, she is."

The lady approached us. "Hi! I'm Amanda, secretary of the CEO of Convocar Corporation, Mr. Blue Convocar. Nice meeting you," she introduced herself as she immediately extended her hand.

I immediately accepted it. "Nice meeting you too, Ms. Amanda.”

"Come on," she instructed us as she led the way. A massive swimming pool in front of the house greeted us as we passed through the gate. On the other side, three expensive big bikes and three expensive cars are lining up. There is also a security guard and housekeepers who maintain the surroundings. That's awesome! I guess the owner drives different vehicles every day. Then, when he returns home, this house will welcome him. How does it feel to live so luxuriously? It must be wonderful for him to wake up in the morning and see this kind of view.

When we entered the residence, my jaw dropped even more after seeing the interior design's elegance. This is not just a typical mansion. Since the interior layout of the house is truly stylish.

"Sir Yzack, here's the applicant," Ms. Amanda announced to me to the man standing as he busily typed on the laptop in the living room. He then approached us and extended his hand on me. "Hi, I'm Yzack Montalban, President of Convocar Corporation," he introduced himself. I immediately accepted his hand as I gave him my gummy smile.

“Nice meeting you, Sir Yzack, I’m Heidi Sanson,” I introduce myself.

"I’m glad to meet you too,” he smiled at me as he looked at me for so long. Is there something wrong with my face right now?

“Anyway, your Boss,” he paused. “is currently out of town. That's why he sent me here to do the interview with you today. He trusted me so much because I’m his close friend and also his business partner,” he added.

I nervously smiled at him now.

"Take a seat," he said at the same time he also pointed to the sofa where we immediately sat down. The first time I sat in this expensive living room set, I felt like I was sitting on a cloud because of the fluffiness. For God's sake, how much is this sofa worth?

“So…” Sir Yzack took the paper on the side of his laptop and read it. "…Mrs. Heidi Sanson," he cleared his throat as he looked at me. "I—I mean, Ms. Heidi Sanson. My apologies." He cleared his throat again as he continued. "You graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from a famous university in the Philippines, and your last employment is as a receptionist at a hotel," he said while looking at the resume he's holding. He looked at me, "why did you decide to apply as a nanny?”

So that's it? Is this the interview I've been waiting for? I don't know why my nervousness suddenly disappeared after he started to ask me a question. I'm not this kind of chill person when I get involved in this kind of interview. I smiled before speaking, "to be quite honest, it's actually because of the salary. The salary offered as a nanny is higher than the salary of a college graduate like me."

"So, do you value earnings over your job title? What about your reputation? I mean, you have a college degree. You worked hard to earn a degree from a prestigious university. However, you will end up caring for someone else's child instead," he said.

“I think working as a nanny does not lower my reputation as long as I don't sell my body." I breathed deeply. "In fact, I've come to this point because the bank has taken away our home. I had only recently discovered that my mother's house, which she had left me, had not yet been fully paid for. And that is why I put a lot of effort into getting this position in order to get back my mother's house," I responded.

He nodded at what I said. “It makes sense.”

I just swallowed at his reaction. That's when I began to feel shivers all throughout my entire body. Oh, my God?! Did I say something that offended him? Did I fail? For the sake of God, I'll probably regret failing this job interview for the rest of my life! I can't find a job that pays this much!

I cleared my throat. "But I can promise you, Sir Yzack, that I am qualified for this job. Just so you know, I love children. So, I'm confident I can fulfill my responsibilities as a nanny." I stammered.

"All right," he said, nodding as he went over my resume. He carefully reviews the information that I provided.

"You're hired," he announced calmly. He was not even looking at me. At first, I didn't understand. It confused me to death. Was I mishearing something? But when I looked at Shamcey, who was now joyously wide-eyed, I realized what I'd heard was right.

"W-Wait, what? I'm hired?" I looked at him in disbelief.

Sir Yzack was puzzled and finally gave me a look. "Why? Don't you want it?"

Shamcey and I ran out of the mansion, squealing with joy. We kept on high-fiving each other as if we were kids who had not recovered from what had happened. Who would have thought that I could pass the interview so effortlessly?!

"I told you! You'll get this job!" Shamcey said cheerfully to me.

"Are my answers good? I thought it sucked." I still cannot believe it.

"Of course!" Your fighting spirit is truly impressive! So I have no regrets about recommending you! You are really making me proud!"

Shamcey's words had an unexpected effect on me. She's my only cousin. So we're truly close, like sisters. I almost cried as I pouted in response to what she said. I'm grateful for her.

"You are truly the best cousin," I replied. Even sometimes I hate her for being so selfish when she's under the influence of alcohol.

"Whatever! Let's just hang out on your day off, all right?!"

"Alright—"

"Ms. Heidi!" Someone called me to make Shamcey and I stopped walking towards the gate. We turned back to see who it was. It turned out to be Ms. Amanda. She handed me the bag. I have no idea when I was handed it.

"W-What is this?" I ask her in confusion.

"That will be your uniform. If it doesn't fit, just tell me," she said. She gave me her calling card, which I immediately accepted.

She smiled sweetly at me, "See you tomorrow!"

  • The Billionaire's Lost Wife   Chapter 40-Hot

It was total chaos. The scenario became too weird and too good to be true. Dragons started appearing inside the church and it started attacking all of the guests. Until that one red dragon pointed its stare at me. And then the next thing I knew, it’s gigantic face was now in front of me, waiting for my reaction. That was the moment I opened my eyes and I thanked all of the angels in heaven that it was nothing but just a nightmare. But I was never ready for it when I realized my current situation. Right now, I can feel the heat of someone’s body who is currently hugging me from behind. When I moved my head to know who this man is now hugging me from behind. My mouth went agape when I learned that it was Blue. He is snoring as he peacefully sleeps while hugging me. I winced as I felt his bulge from my behind. It was just too hard for me not to notice. Maybe this is what they called, morning wood. Because it was really awkward, I decided to just move away from him slowly so that he w

But it’s as if he doesn’t hear me. He continued supporting my balance up until we reached the comfort room.“Don’t tell me… you are also going to join me inside the comfort room?” I asked him in disbelief.“I guess so? What if you slip on the floor?”I facepalmed.“Nope, I am going to pee and besides, I am not comfortable peeing when a male is with me.” That was all I said before I quickly closed the door of the comfort room.I am wincing so hard right now as I let out all of the pee that I have been holding on for a long while. Blue was pounding his hand hard to the wooden door as

I smiled at what he said.“So the first thing I did was gradually expose her to other children through ballet school since she really loves to be a ballerina,” he said.I was about to say that I also wanted to be a ballerina and that my mother enrolled me in ballet school when he murmured.“She really takes after her mother,” he said, laughing softly. So, her mother also loves ballet?“Wait, does this mean you’re allowing Beatrice to go to school? To go to school and interact with her classmates?”He nodded.

I told Yzack everything about the memories that flashed back to me. How irritated I was that only a few memories returned to me over the years. How incredibly annoyed I was with myself for not being able to clearly see the flashbacks. Who the man was beside me, feeding me. Who he was in my life. Why I was so close to him. I asked Yzack several times if he had any idea who that man was. If he knew any men I had been close to before, besides him. But he didn't know. And he didn't know of any male friends I had.He calmed me down for several minutes—comforted me in my irritation. He kept telling me not to blame myself. That it wasn't my fault that I was in an accident. That I didn't want to lose my memories. All I needed was to take time for myself, to heal at my own pace. Not to rush it. Just to give myself a lot of patience to bring back all the memories I had lost over the years.

  • The Billionaire's Lost Wife   Chapter 36-Soup

When Aunt Rabiya and Shamcey finally bid their goodbyes at us, there was an awkward silence between Blue and I. It was not just an awkward silence, it was a silence that screams nothing but uncomforting demeanor. Because right, he was still carrying me in his arms. I can clearly feel how masculine his sturdy chest is by the way he carried me. On the other hand, from the mirror in front of us, I saw how his biceps started to go hard because of my weight. Am I gaining weight lately? I can clearly see the vein on his arms. By the look of it, he looked like he was carrying a very heavy thing. But his face was still neutral. He was staring at my face, this is the reason why I just scratched my nape. Why does he need to stare at my face with that kind of intensity? It was not just uncomforting, it was also awkward! So awkward that I am starting to imagine bad things with him. WHICH should not happen because after all, he was my boss and that I should respect it no matter what had already

  • The Billionaire's Lost Wife   Chapter 35-“You should date him”

I woke up early in the morning. It was actually three in the morning when I woke my senses up. Despite knowing that today was the flight of Shamcey and Aunt Rabiya, I woke not solely because of that but also because I fell asleep early last night. I was so used to sleeping every twelve midnight, it was only last night that I managed to sleep as early as eight in the evening. I stood up and then stretched my body. I am only wearing a thin white tank top which is my usual clothing whenever I am sleeping. I was still sleepy when I put on another bra and then I chose to wear a shirt with a polka dots design. Right after that, I faced the mirror to check and then also fix my face. Once I was satisfied, I prepared myself to go out of my room. I was yawning when I decided to storm out of my room to prepare something. Aunt Rabiya and Shamcey are for sure busy preparing all their things. The best that I could do is to help them in preparation of their breakfast. It was still dark when I lef
