“Stay hopeful. You haven’t encountered all that is beautiful and worth holding on to yet.”

….

~ Austin ~

Nothing could beat the sight that greeted me as I made my way into Alyssa’s room to find my two favorite persons in a cuddling position on the bed.

I stood at the bedside memorizing their features. Though they weren’t biologically related. Their expressions and attitudes were becoming alike by the day.

I managed to walk out of the room after placing gentle kisses on both of their foreheads. But not before taking a picture of the serene moment, which I plan to make into a frame and hang up in my room.

Well, that’s the start of a new life, isn’t it?

I was just about to enter my home office when… “Austin.” I turned back to face him… Lydia’s husband, Patrick Revenee.

His locks had grown two times longer than the last time I had seen him, and he looked more like Jason Momoa. Though I wonder if the hair wasn’t too heavy to carry around.

“Patrick.”

“Can we talk?” I nodded, leadi

  • The Billionaire’s Nanny   I forgive you...

“And… I hope you leave a mark on history.”….~ Austin ~There was something about this particular case that tugged at my heartstrings. Though I was unable to figure out exactly what it was until my client was pronounced “not guilty” and was at last set free. Our eyes met, and there was a smile, the kind I recognized so well given how often I had seen it. It was one of victory at last, when one had almost given up on ever finding that. I watched as his ex-wife was handcuffed by the officers despite her protests. And it made me wonder just how often truth actually wins. Because here was a man who had been in prison for over a decade for a crime he never committed. “Mr. Hook.” I nodded, acknowledging his presence as he approached. If there’s one thing I have learned so far in my career, then it’s that no one is ever too far gone. As there’s always a layer of humanity in everyone. Even the hardest of criminals. Not to even talk more of one accused of a crime he never committed.“Congr

“If you were the author of your story, how would you write it?”….~ Alyssa ~It was a regular day at my studio. But on this particular one, I just couldn’t focus on the portrait I was creating, as I kept on getting distracted as the sense of dread I was feeling intensified. I just couldn’t fathom why I was feeling that way… So I did what I always did when I couldn’t control myself.I shut my eyes, took a deep breath, and said a quick prayer. “Lord, I need you… help me.” I opened my eyes, hoping to feel that sense of ease and peace I always do whenever I pray. But didn’t. In haste, I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text to Mia.: Hey! Are you busy? Her reply came almost immediately, and I almost smiled. “Nah. I’ve got a free day today. Joseph is picking me up for a date later. I think he is going to propose.” I’d never cease feeling happy for Mia and Joseph for finding each other and becoming the lover they’d always craved.: Okay…“Yup. What’s up?”: Nothing much. I just got b

  • The Billionaire’s Nanny   I miss you

“When you fall, rise up. When you fail, try again.”…..~ Austin ~I hadn’t anticipated this day, where I would be in court watching the trial of my housekeeper. So far, Sharon had confessed to all the crimes she’d been accused of. Though I still found it difficult that she’d do all of those. For what reason actually? For obsession and lust? I just couldn’t“You might have put me behind bars, Austin! But your problems are not over. Far from it!” Her words echoed through the court room, and she was being dragged out by the police officers after being declared guilty. “Austin… are you okay?” Joseph’s warm palm rested on my shoulder in a comforting manner. “I should be.” I say, unable to lie to him. He’d seen me at my worst after his sister’s demise. At that time, we’d been too broken to comfort each other. But someone… we made it to where we are now.“Do you ever wonder if life’s problems ever end?” This was probably not the right conversation to be having in a courtroom, which hears

“Remember to always stay where you are needed and valued.” ….~ Alyssa ~The mini trees in the park called out to me, and I couldn’t help bringing out my paint set and gently arranging them in preparation for a quick painting session. I grabbed my notepad and opened it, after which I brought some duct tape and designed the edges. Just before I could enter a flow state. I looked over at the swing where Keren and some of her new friends were playing. Our eyes met, and she waved at me happily. I waved back before bringing back my eyes to the work at hand. It’s time to paint, and I have to do just that.I had just finished sketching out the tree… when a voice I knew so well… interrupted me. “Alyssa.” I didn’t respond and opted to continue with my painting… But it rang again. “I know you can hear me.” Finally, I looked up… and almost gasped at the sight of him. He looked so rough and beardy, like a homeless man. I’d never seen Mark look so unkempt. “What do you want?” I say, avoid

  • The Billionaire’s Nanny   Please stay...

“Maybe soulmates are not the only thing that’s real. Maybe there are moments that are destined to be magical too.”….~ Alyssa ~“You guys had lived together for two months, and he didn’t hit on you?” I chuckled, watching the surprised look on Nana’s face. We’d been chatting for over an hour now, and I must say… I was starting to see her in a different light. When Austin had told me about his grandmother, I’d kind of been expecting someone strict and mean to strangers. But never would I have expected her to be so warm and loving. “Sounds like my grandson!” I couldn’t deny her words. And it made me wonder if I would have ended up getting married to Callum if Peter hadn’t intervened. “Does this have anything to do with him being a lawyer and all?”“Nah… he is his father’s son. And they both have strict morals and principles ingrained in their DNA.”“Oh…”“I am happy he made the right choice though.” Her gaze was filled with warmth. “Do you sometimes wish you had a mother figure?”I

  • The Billionaire’s Nanny   His Nana

“If you treat every day like a miracle, then you won’t ever feel the urge to see it any less sacred than it actually is.”….~ Alyssa ~I’d probably gotten so used to the grandeur of Austin’s home that I had forgotten to wonder how his grandparents would be. As we stood in front of the English cottage house. I couldn’t help but marvel at how much history was embedded in the stonewalls. The frontal was decorated by a carefully tended garden of flowers and shrubs… which added beauty and elegance to the space. “I love it here, Mom!” Keren grinned widely, looking around. Austin had mentioned that she’d only been here twice, when she was months old and two years old.“I do, too.” I replied as the door opened and an eighty-something-year-old woman came into view. Though I must say, she looks ten years younger, and if Austin hadn’t given me a head start. I would have denied that she was a day older than seventy.“Hello, Nana!” Austin was the first to break the silence, and I watched as the
