I can't move. I can feel him behind me. As I'm about to leave, I see out of the corner of my eye that he's reaching for the towel on the sofa. Oh my, I think I might have a heart attack. If I get accepted as his maid, it looks like my blood pressure will always be high because of him.
"So, tell me..."
Why is this man undressed?! He's not wearing any underwear! Nothing at all!
"How old are you?" I heard him ask. But due to the shock, I couldn't immediately respond. My hands covered my eyes, and I wasn't moving at all. It felt like a moment ago when I saw his jolly massive hotdog, my soul briefly left my body.
So, that's what it looks like.
But is it a normal size?
I don't know! It's the first time I've seen a hotdog! I haven't even watched adult films! What do I know about hotdog sizes?!
"You seemed surprised. How old are you?"
"Y-Yes, Sir Hotdog?" I was shocked when he spoke again, and I didn't even realize what I had just said. What the hell, Thaliana Tangi!
I swallowed hard. I could clearly see how his forehead wrinkled and his eyebrows furrowed in response to me.
Sht. Did I really call him Sir Hotdog?!
I turned away again and berated myself. I slowly lowered my hands and closed my eyes tightly. I still couldn't bring myself to face him.
"Are you hungry?" he asked seriously, but my eyes welled up with tears, and I finally turned to him. I nodded vigorously.
"N-No! I already ate before coming here. W-What were you saying, sir?"
Damn his huge hotdog!
I saw him out of the corner of my eye as he picked something up from the table beside him. It was a piece of paper. Then, he turned around and was now in front of me. I avoided making eye contact when I noticed that he was wearing only the towel around his lower body.
Doesn't he plan to get dressed?!
"How old are you?" he asked me.
"I'm twenty-nine years old, s-sir," I replied without looking at him.
I could see him from the corner of my eye, and he was looking at me with his hands resting behind the sofa. Just flexing? But nice muscles. Damn. He has a great body, too.
"Sit down, do you plan to talk to me while standing and not looking at me?" he asked.
I didn't move, afraid to approach him. Well, I might not know what he'll do to me! What decent man would face a maid applicant wearing only a towel? And his hotdog said hello earlier!
Oh, Thaliana Tangi, erase! erase!
"B-Because, sir, I'm not used to seeing a man's body. A-And, is it right for you to face me wearing just that?" I asked him.
When he stood up, I looked at him, but only for a moment.
"Okay, I'll come back. Sit down and wait for me."
I raised an eyebrow at what he said. He entered a door that I think leads to his room. Earlier, he came out from there, which I assumed was the bathroom. It looks like he took a quick shower because his hair was wet."
As he instructed, I sat down. What's with that man? I have a negative impression of him now. Why is he flaunting his body in front of anyone? And I even saw his hotdog.
What's his deal?
It's crazy. My confidence is fading. That hotdog might attack me later. It seemed to have a mind of its own earlier because it moved. It waved. It fckng salute at me. Seriously.
"Creepy," I muttered to myself and shrugged my shoulders.
"So, what's your name?"
I turned my head when I heard Rozzean's voice.
Oh... he's wearing clothes now. He's wearing gray sweatpants and a black shirt. His eyes are beautiful. Deep eyes, and his lips made my lips feel shy because they were red.
Gosh! You are checking him out, Thaliana!
But, damn, the effect of what I saw earlier still lingers because, even though he's dressed now, I still find my eyes wandering down there.
"Do I need to repeat my question again?" he asked again. Irritated.
Focus, Tangi!
"N-No, sir, I-I am sorry I was not paying attention and I-Uhm--"
"I hate repeating myself. Why didn't you answer it?"
I winced. This man had quite an unpleasant demeanor. I would make sure to note this in my notebook later, which I reserved solely for him. I shouldn't let information about him slip by that I wouldn't like.
"U-Uh, Sir, it's because I was still taken aback by what I saw earlier—"
"You're twenty-nine, right? Still a virgin? And don't tell me that's your first time seeing a d/ck?"
My lips parted. M-My goodness! Did this man have no filter?
"I'm not used to seeing that, sir. With all due respect, I'm not the kind of woman who engages in intimate relations before marriage. Besides, you're the one at fault for what happened earlier."
Rozzean leaned back on the sofa and crossed his legs. I found myself looking at his biceps. He probably takes good care of himself at the gym? Impressive—
Focus, Tangi!
"Why is it my fault? I am here inside my room... in my own house, woman."
Pretending I didn't understand his statement, I furrowed my brow.
"I'm sorry, sir?"
He cleared his throat and stared at me. His gaze felt judgmental, like I had done something wrong. I hadn't been to his house for an hour, and I already had a lot to list down in my notebook later.
"I didn't know you were coming into my room. I'm used to walking around shirtless. I also didn't hear you knock."
"Damn, why am I explaining to this woman?" he muttered, which I overheard.
I pursed my lips, but when his gaze returned to me, I cleared my throat and began to introduce myself and explain my purpose.
"I'm Tali Dela Cruz, sir. I'm alone in life, looking for work. I don't have any parents anymore. That's why I'm here, hoping to be hired as a maid. I'm very skilled at household chores. You have nothing to worry about with me," I told him.
His expression remained blank as he looked at me. I, on the other hand, was nervous. Even though he let me in, I was sure he'd still scrutinize me. Oh, I hope he accepts me.
Why did I jump the gun earlier by assuming I'd be accepted? Especially when this man still had to interview me?
"Tali Dela Cruz?" he repeated.
I nodded.
"I have only one rule in my house, Tali."
I sat up straight and looked at him seriously. I could feel that he was going to accept me.
"The reason I keep running out of maids is that they all end up having feelings for me. I don't want that in my house. I fired them immediately."
I was stunned by what he said. So that's why there was only one maid I saw earlier. The elderly one.
But, what?
"S-Sir?"
"One of my rules is that you must not develop any feelings for me."
My evil self couldn't! Wow! just wow!
What does this guy have? He really thinks highly of himself! Is that really his rule? My expectations were so high! Yes, he's handsome, but maybe he's just assuming things based on his past maids?
"The moment I find out that you have feelings for me, you'll have to leave this mansion."
I took a step back, my lips gaped. After a few seconds, I covered my mouth because I couldn't believe what he had just said. So, this is what my dad wanted me to marry?
"Sir, with all due respect," I began, struggling to contain my frustration.
"You have quite a bit of nerve. Your rudeness and arrogance are overwhelming, and I want to make it clear that you are not my type."
"What did you say?"I raised one hand and flashed a peace sign at him when I saw the anger forming on his face. Seriously, my dad said he's a good person?! Why is he getting mad so quickly?!"I-I was just joking, sir. You don't seem to have a sense of humor! H-hehe..."I lowered my hand and clasped them together."Don't worry, sir. I will never develop feelings for you. You're not my type anyway. I prefer guys with chinito features, and you're not chinito. Besides, you're kind of scary," I said.Especially that hotdog of yours. It looked like it was ready to attack at any moment."By the way, I am Rozzean Cyron Valleje. I just want to clear things before I accept you, Tali—what I mean is I want that rule in my house clear to you," he said.I nodded and smiled. I gave him a thumbs-up, which I quickly lowered when I saw no reaction from him.I'll note down in my notebook later the good and bad about him, I need to note his attitude! But of course, I prefer to write down the bad things a
I squeezed myself tightly and even leaned back just to avoid getting too close to Rozzean in front of me. Apparently, he tasted the dish I cooked using his finger. But did it have to be in this position?Take a deep breath, Tangi. Don't let that guy affect you. You're here in his house to investigate, you can't fall for his trap. It looks like he's testing my patience and checking if I'm interested, just like the helpers he kicked out."Sir, if you're hungry, I'll prepare something for you," I politely said.He stepped back. I breathed a sigh of relief. Does he really walk around his house without anything on his upper body?"Where's Selya?" he asked me."She's probably outside," I replied while scooping rice for him. I also served the viand.I felt uneasy. It's as if he's watching my every move.I opened the refrigerator and took out some juice. I poured it into a pitcher and placed it on the island counter. I could see Rozzean from the corner of my eye, closely observing me. He had
Time passed, and Rozzean didn't come out of the room again. It was eight o'clock in the evening, and I had already cooked dinner. I asked Manang what he might want for dinner, and she said that our boss's favorite is "Tinolang Manok", a famous Filipino-style chicken soup.So I immediately cooked it. However, he still hasn't come downstairs. It's tiring to go up to his room because this house is so huge. Now I'm here in the living room with Manang. We're watching a show on TV. It's good that we are allowed to do this; not all housemaids have this privilege."Manang, how about you? Haven't you eaten yet?" I asked her.I was starting to feel hungry. I haven't had lunch. I had forgotten to eat before leaving my house."I won't eat until Sir eats," she replied.I pursed my lips. Was that Rozzean's rule? But to be honest, I have already noticed a few things about him in the few hours I've been here.First, he had a short temper, which isn't really good for me, because I have pets who can be
After we finished checking the appliances, they were still plugged in and closed all the windows and doors. Manang told me that I could finally rest. But when I went up to the second floor, I glanced at the stairs leading to the third floor---the master's bedroom. Rozzean."He still hasn't come down to eat," I said to myself.I took a deep breath and went to my room. Manang's room was far from mine, downstairs, so I couldn't chat with her now, and I would ask the things I wanted to know about this house tomorrow.I became curious about what she said, that perhaps sadness might be the reason why Rozzean has so many plants here. Like, it's his therapy."Why would he be sad?" I thought. In reality, this house is huge and beautiful. It's a dream house for many, and he has so much money. He can buy whatever he wants. What could be the reason for him to be sad?"Wait, why am I even thinking about this?"I stood up and headed to the bathroom in my room, but before that, I made sure to lock t
He looked away from me and glanced in another direction. I followed his gaze and immediately stood up when I understood what he was trying to convey. There was another room connected to this one. I walked towards it. When I saw clothes, shoes, watches, and jewelry, I was truly amazed. This man is incredibly organized!I quickly grabbed some black clothing. His casual wear consisted mainly of black, gray, and white. When I returned, I approached him."Sir, please put this on," I said, placing the clothes on the edge of the bed. His eyes were closed."Are you going to sleep again, sir?""D-Do you... c-can you... help... me... dress?" I heard him say, even though it was faint. He's already sick, and yet he's still so grumpy! He sat up and leaned against the headboard of the bed. When he was about to get his clothes to put them on, I saw that he was having difficulty lifting both of his arms. I took a deep breath and approached, kneeling on the bed and reaching out to take the clothes fro
I suddenly woke up when I heard a loud noise. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, trying to locate the source of the sound. It wasn't the same cellphone that Rozzean used to call me last night. The sound resembled that of an alarm clock."Where is it?"As I looked around, I spotted the source of the noise. I let out a sigh of relief and climbed onto the chair. The time was displayed clearly; it seemed like there was an alarm in each room, and it was already five o'clock. It was earlier than my usual wake-up time. I usually woke up at six and then went to Tinatangi at eight to tend to the flowers.I turned off the alarm clock, went to the bathroom, and washed my face. While I was drying my face, I couldn't help but think about what happened last night.I wonder how he's doing now. Is he still sick?"He looks pitiful when he's sick, but when he's not, he looks like a demon with that attitude."I took a deep breath and began brushing my teeth. I needed to get ready; Manang Selya was probably aw
"O-Of course, sir! What do you think of my mole? I-it's just there!" I said, pointing to my face, then I moved aside to avoid his gaze. I was getting nervous. He remembers what happened last night, for sure, and he noticed my mole wasn't on my face! I didn't know he was that observant that even if he was sick his mind was working well. Damn this ass."Sir, it seems like you were hallucinating last night," I told him."I don't think so–""Sir," I cut him off, I closed my eyes firmly. "You had a high fever last night, I just want to remind you. It's impossible for this mole to disappear. It's been here since I was born."I almost rolled my eyes. I am thankful I didn't because Rozzean might suddenly kick me out of his house Sht. He really has an incredible memory. I didn't even stay long last night, did I? But he even noticed my mole. From the corner of my eye, I saw him deep in thought. He held his chin, and when he looked at me again, I moved away. I think he doesn't believe me!"Tell M
I was scowling as I stared at the TV, watching cartoons. I cooked some popcorn. Manang told me that I could cook the food I wanted. She said Rozzean doesn't forbid that in her mansion."That darn guy. Where could he have gone? Last Friday, he said he wouldn't just be home in the evening, but now it's Monday night, and he's still not here! Where could he have gone?"I felt like a trapped mouse. What if he does not bring his girl home? How can I get evidence?I continued eating popcorn while muttering in annoyance. When I got tired of watching, I turned off the TV. I went to the kitchen and placed the empty bowl in the sink. In my frustration and as I thought about the reason why Rozzean didn't come home, I finished the popcorn I had prepared in no time."If he keeps disappearing for several days, I'll spend my two months clueless and my effort will be wasted. It's frustrating. Where could he be?"I am so annoyed!"What are you muttering, Tali?"I suddenly turned around upon hearing Man
