Chapter 13

I slowly looked at him with hopeful eyes. My heart was still hopeful to hear the words I wanted from him. But minutes passed, and with every tick of the clock the heaviness I am feeling inside doubled.

His silence is the answer. From the way, he looked away and how his face paled, I knew that he would never say the words that I wanted to hear.

And it's hurting me so badly thinking that he was never truthful about our relationship. Or if only he was truthful enough, the chances are more likely that the lie would still prevail. May it be in the form of words or actions.
