Almost...

 "Avery, you are the one assigned to tidy up room number one to three starting tomorrow. The one who was previously assigned to it was on leave for a week. So, it will be your task to handle them. Are you following what I said, young lady?", Miss Portia asked while I'm scribbling my phone.

 It was around 10 in the evening, the time where I can start to use my phone already. Miss Portia is time oriented and very particular on how we spend the time during work so I need to follow her with the time management.

"I got that, Miss Portia"; I answered her while my attention is on the screen, trying to search about the Delatorre twins. I am checking all the platforms on social media with the main purpose of familiarizing these people.

After checking on them, it seems that they are also protecting themselves since I can't see any pictures or even a bit of information of their very existence. I must say that they are mysterious then. I have to find out everything about them by myself to be successful on making Devin to fall in love with me.

 "And I'm really wondering where you'd got that phone. That looks really expensive", she stated with doubt in her tone while her eyes are fixed on the gadget that I am holding.

 "It is a second-hand phone, Miss Portia"; I answered her directly while turning my phone upside down to let her see it better so that it won’t leave any suspicions to her.

 Well, it is a phone worth a thousand dollars so she will surely wonder about it. 

I woke up in hot rays of sunshine passing through the curtains.

I literally stopped in the middle of my yawn when I realized that I still have a job to do. I frown and quickly fixed myself after checking the time.

 Miss Portia will surely go back to her old ways on treating me. I'm running in the hallway towards the kitchen when someone behind me lightly pulls me to the side.

 "Avery", he said in a warm voice.

 "Good morning. I won't stop saying sorry until you'll forgive me", he added which just made me lose my temper.

"First, grabbing me like that is not appropriate at all, sir. Second, my morning won't be good and would never be good if your face is the first thing I can see in the morning. Third, I'm not accepting your apology. I have a lot to do so can you let go of me?" I asked him while raising my left brow.

He loosens his hold and I quickly take that opportunity to proceed in the kitchen. He is biting the bait now, which is really a good start for my plan. 

"So, you're not really paying attention to what I told you last night then?" Miss Portia asked with an irritated tone.

"I'm really sorry, Miss Portia. I totally lose track of it", I answered while lowering my head.

 "Rooms one to three are your responsibilities starting today. Go ahead, tidy them up and don't even leave a single dust on them", she commanded me while she is busy tasting the food that Emily is cooking at the moment.

 "Copy that, Miss Portia"; I said before bringing the cleaning tools to the third floor where the rooms were located.

 It is just the time that a realization hits me hard. Miss Portia mentioned to me on the day that she toured me in the house that the first three rooms were occupied by Mrs. Delatorre and his sons.

 I was quite shaken by that fact but I guess this also a good thing for me on the other hand. I can execute my plans easier and earlier. 

 The room number one is obviously Mrs. Delatorre's room since there are a lot of flower decors around, including the wall.

 But the whole room was still elegant even though it does have strong feminine touches all over the place. It just took me a couple of hours to tidy it up and I proceed to room number two.

Books, books, and books were everywhere. That was the first sight that welcomed me in this room and I'm pretty sure who owned this one, that would be Duke since Miss Portia mentioned that he is the bookworm in the family.

 I just never expected that he is this kind of bookworm that his room looks like a library. It is not hard for me to clean his room since almost everything is in place. I'm already getting tired and hungry when I reached the third room which is obviously Devin's. 

I'm shocked upon entering the third room and I'm even having second thoughts if this is Devin's room since there a lot of paintings in the room. I'm totally taken aback when I just started to do my duty for this is a lifeline I do have to accomplish my mission and I know that I will get that.

 I am folding the used mattress to be placed in the laundry basket when I heard the door in the comfort room creaked open. I almost run since I thought it could be something creepy but a voice stopped me from going out.

 "Where are you going, Miss Rosenfield?", he asked in a low voice.

I faced him and I regret that I did since he is exposing his body in the very front of me. I automatically turn my back to him.

 "Can you please get dressed? I'm sorry, I didn't know that you're in here", I told him apologetically.

 He just went silent after a while. But then I heard footsteps coming nearer and nearer in the spot where I am standing.

He hugged me lightly from my back and that was insanely out of the expected outcome that I have in my plans. His actions were really surprising which is driving me nuts already.

 It seems that this guy is falling into the trap that I already made for him but his arms around me right now make my heart flutter that the tables were turning drastically and it just feels so right.
