Emily felt like her heart was about to jump out of her chest because of how fast it was beating. She honestly thought she was going to fall to the ground but was saved by Caden.

Caden stared at Emily, his grip around her tightening as an uneasy feeling sprang through his body. He gulped down nothing before letting go of her hurriedly, and Emily regained her stance.

"Sorry," she quickly said, rubbing her sweaty palm on her slacks.
