The door to Emily's room opened, and her head snapped up to meet her mom. "Your father calls for you. He is in his study," Layla informed her daughter. "Why is Dad at home this early?" Emily asked, confused. Her father never comes back this early. That's if he ever comes back at all. "I have no idea, just go see him." Layla waved her off before leaving, and Emily stood up from her bed. She went to the study and knocked softly on the door before pushing it open. "You called for me?" She asked her father as she walked into the study. "Yes, have a seat," Harper said sternly in his usual tone. "I prefer to stand," Emily replied. This was an indication that she wanted him to be fast with whatever he asked her here for. "The stocks are falling." Harper started, and Emily frowned. Since when did her father care to tell her about the falling stocks, she isn't helping him manage the stone enterprises in any way. "I don't understand," Emily said truthfully. "It means with need connections, investors, helping hands, someone rich enough to help the current condition of the company," Harper clarified. "Shouldn't you be speaking with your board members about this? Why are you telling me?" Emily frowned, and Harper released a deep breath. "Our only hope is the Kingstons and I have contacted them, but there is a demand," Harper informed. Emily didn't like where this was going, she has an uneasy feeling about whatever her father was about to say. "You would be marrying Caden Kingston in two weeks' time." he dropped the bomb calmly, and Emily felt her heart drop to her stomach. What? "No! No fuçking way! I'm not getting married in two weeks' time or anytime soon for that matter, " Emily refused. "It's not a request Emily, I am telling you what's going to happen, your mom would go with you to pick your wedding dress and you would be going on a date with him this weekend" Harper added. "That's all. You can live," he concluded. "Dad! You can't just decide that for me, this is my life. I get to do what I want!" Emily yelled. "Didn't you hear what I said, we have no choice, except you want to sleep on the streets, we would lose everything if they don't help us, this isn't a negotiation" Harper shouted. Emily's eyes watered, and her knees felt weak. She couldn't believe what was happening right now. "You're the worst!" She screamed at her father before leaving the study. Emily ran to her room and shut the door hard. She crawled onto her bed and covered herself with the duvet as she cried her eyes out. She couldn't even ask for her mother's help. She is sure her mom would support her father because all her mom ever cared about was money. _ {HOTEL~4PM} "Oh my God, you're so huge!" The whorè screamed as Caden pounded her hard. "You're tearing me apart" she screamed again but Caden didn't stop, he kept ramming into her chasing his release, he couldn't care less about the bitçh, he wanted to satisfy his needs and he would do just that. He continued as she kept screaming, Caden pulled out, and she fell on the bed weakly while he cûmmed all over her body. "Fuçk! That was great, " she said weakly, but Caden ignored her and got down from the bed after putting on his pants. "Leave," he ordered. She weakly picked up her clothes and left the room. She knew better than to stick around when Caden Kingston didn't want her anymore. Caden took a pack of cigarettes from the bedside drawer, taking a stick and lighter. He lit it up and started smoking. The hotel room door opened, and George entered. "What the hell, Cade? I have been looking everywhere for you. Your father is extremely mad," George reprimanded. Caden disposed of the cigarette stick and turned to George. "What does that man want?" He asked, confused. "I don't know, he just called me to ask where the hell you were. He sounded pretty mad to me," George answered. "You can't be fuçking bitçhes anytime you want, if your father finds out..." "He won't do shît," Caden replied, putting on his shirt and pocketing his phone. "Let's go hear what Anthony Kingston has to say," he added before walking out of the hotel room, and George followed. _ {CADEN'S OFFICE} "That's not happening," Caden said flatly. "It's not a matter of choice. It's going to happen. At least when you have a wife, you'll learn to stop sleeping with all the women in New York," Anthony stated. "I'm not getting married," Caden seethed. "Didn't you hear me when I said it's not a choice? You know what would happen when you disobeyed me, Caden? " Anthony threatened, and Caden gritted his teeth. "You would have dinner with her this weekend. You better attend," Anthony spat before leaving. The office doors opened again, and George entered. "I heard everything, Caden Kingston getting married? That would be the talk of New York City for months. " George chuckled, and Caden glared at him. "I'm not the one forcing you into the marriage," George retorted before walking out of his office. George Finn has been friends with Caden for years, they met in college and had been close ever since even though George's family isn't as wealthy as the Kingstons, they had their own share of riches. _ {HALTER'S MEDIA COMPANY~NEXT DAY} Emily came down from her car and walked into the company. She works here as a journalist, and her father didn't really like the idea of her being a journalist. He said they were dirty snoopers who wouldn't mind their business but Emily thought otherwise, she believes they are just people who uncover all the dirty secrets of the rich and famous people, they give the people the real truth. Emily Walked to her cubicle, though she's the daughter of the stone family, the boss never gives her special treatment, in fact Emily believes he hates her more than anything because he has rejected whatever she comes up with without even looking at it. Emily said hello to her colleagues before settling in. "Caden Kingston was seen coming out of a hotel yesterday," she heard someone behind her speak. "This is the third time this week, I'm pretty sure he has had sex with almost all the female celebrities in New York," another spoke, and Emily turned to meet Madison and Felicia. "Who saw him?" Emily asked. "Brian did. He went to get information on Lisa Foster when he stumbled across Caden," Madison informed. "Is he having sex with Lisa Foster, too?" Felicia asked. "Brian didn't say anything about that, though," Madison shrugged. "He is a man whore" Emily chipped and they both laughed. "It's not something new and the women are the ones begging for it, I mean who wouldn't want Caden Kingston? I'm pretty sure he has a huge diçk, " Madison stated. "Aren't you supposed to be at a conference?" Emily asked Madison. "Yes and I am on my way" Madison answered before leaving. "You don't seem to like Caden," Felicia noted. "Don't you have work to do Felicia?" Emily asked and Felicia rolled her eyes before leaving too. Emily turned back to her desk and bit her lips. She couldn't get over the fact that she was going to get married to Caden Kingston. The famous man whore of New York City, she palmed her face in frustration. _ {FEW DAYS LATER~RESTUARANT~6PM} Emily was boiling on her seat, if she could burn everything in this restaurant she would in a matter of seconds. She came here 30mins ago and Caden hasn't arrived yet. The dinner was supposed to be by 4pm but she intentionally came extremely late but it turns out Caden had plans of coming even later or maybe he doesn't even plan on coming. Emily groaned and was about to stand up when Caden entered the restaurant and she frowned hard. Is he fuçking serious! Caden scanned the restaurant for Emily and when he spotted her, he walked towards her, he knew what she looked like because George helped dig into Emily immediately his father told him he would be marrying her. There was basically nothing interesting about her except the fact that she's beautiful, she is just basic and plain. Caden sat down on the chair opposite Emily, he had a nonchalantly face on and he seemed completely oblivious to Emily's glaring gaze or maybe he just didn't care. "You're extremely late," Emily reprimanded. "Am I supposed to apologize for that?" Caden asked, he didn't like her tone. "That's what a gentleman would do but I guess you aren't one" Emily fired. "Never said I was," Caden stated and Emily scoffed. "I can't believe I am getting married to you" she complained and got up from the chair in anger. "I would prefer you don't speak to me" Emily said and made to leave. "If you walk away, you won't walk ever again" Caden threatened and Emily paused.Lia hit the breaks after Caden fell to the floor, blood pooling around him. Emily rushed towards him, leaping a lot because she hit the floor very hard. Officers from the prison rushed towards them, and Lia was brought out of the car by the police. "It was an accident, I didn't mean too," Lia insisted. Emily held Caden in her hand, blood soaking her jeans as tears ran down her cheek. "Do..Don't close your eyes," she stuttered. "Em… Emily..." Caden called breathlessly. "Don't close your eyes, Caden," she said again in between sobs. Lia gritted her teeth as she was taking into the prison. "I told you it was an accident!" She screamed. Emily couldn't care less about what was happening in the background. All she wanted was for Caden to stay alive. He can't leave her now, not now. "Please.... Stay with me," she whispered. _ {HOSPITAL} Emily sat on the long bench outside the ICU. She didn't care about her blood-stained clothes and hands. Her eyes were swollen from all the cryi
This would be the first time she has seen him since that day at the hotel where he shattered her. Emily forgot how to breath, his face didn't change throughout the past year. The only difference is his eyes. They looked darker than she remembered. But the most important thing was how did he know whereto find her? "Aren't you going to let me in?" Caden asked. "Who is it?" Layla asked. Caden pushed past Emily and walked into the house. "Hi Mrs stone." Caden smiled, and Layla wiped the tears from her face. She is as shocked as her daughter to see Caden here. "Why are you here?" Emily found her voice. "How did you find this place?" She asked. "It's quite easy to find this place considering it's the only property that doesn't belong to your father but your mother," Caden replied, and Emily swallowed. She didn't expect their next meeting to be like this. "Why are you here?" Emily asked again. "You both must believe Harper is innocent, but he isn't," Caden started, his face turni
{TWO WEEKS LATER~CADEN'S HOUSE~7PM} Lia parked her car roughly in front of the building and came down from it. She walked into the house like she owned it with a slight frown on her face. Caden didn't let her stay here with him. He said she had no business in his house till they were married, and he kept putting off the marriage. What annoyed Lia the most was the fact that her mother didn't do anything about it but either way she would be getting married to Caden soon and he wouldn't give her reasons not to let her live with him. "Ma'am, you're not allowed to walk in whenever you wish," Luis said, blocking Lia. "Who are you to tell me what to do?" Lia snapped. "I am caden's fiance, and you're just a servant” Luis' eyes darkened. He didn't like Lia even for a second. She didn't have any respect for him even though he was old enough to be her father. "Mr. Kingston gave the order," Luis said calmly. "Caden!" Lia screamed. She knew Caden was here since she was sure he wasn't at
"I have no plans of coming back to New York, I hope you understand that," Emily said, and Madison sighed. "Alright, whatever you say," Madison replied, and Emily smiled. "Enough about New York, I made pancakes last night, I would heat it up for you," Emily said, and Madison's face fell. Madison chuckled awkwardly. "You did?" She asked in a not so excited voice. "Yeah... My cooking has improved, " Emily informed. "I highly doubt that, my taste buds know better," Madison replied, and Emily frowned. "Bring it for tasting," Madison replied with a sigh, and Emily rushed into the kitchen joyfully. _ {BELMONT HOTEL~2PM} Caden sat on the soft sofa in a private room inside the hotel. He was waiting for someone, and it is clear that people don't want people to know they were meeting. That's why this hotel was picked for their meet-up. Caden tapped his hand cautiously on the armrest. He was getting impatient. No one makes Caden Kingston wait. The door opened, and a familiar figure en

{NEXT DAY~BELMONT HOTEL~10AM} Emily's eyes fluttered open slowly. She felt a sharp pain on her head. She cried herself to sleep last night, so the headache wasn't really a surprise to her. She stood up slowly from the bed and walked into the bathroom sluggishly. Emily washed her face with cold
{LIA'S PENTHOUSE~10AM} Lia wore suit pants and a blazer over her white shirt. She had white heels on, and her straight hair fell freely on her body. Beatrice did tell her to dress well. Her mother's years of planning are finally about to pay off. "Lia," Beatrice called as she walked into the
