Quin's POV

The first address Jake sent me to was a commercial building on the east side of the city.

It was a four storey structure that housed what appeared to be a series of offices connected to one of Aiden's investment fronts. The lights on the upper floors were still on when I arrived, which meant people were still working, which meant it wasn't the kind of place you brought someone you had taken off a street without their consent.

I stood across from it for two minutes anyway.

Then I walk

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Not Everyone is a Monster

Quin's POVThe warehouse fell silent after Julian’s confession.Billie had known. She had known Aiden was watching us. Known she was being manipulated and knew she was dying. And while carrying all that fear and weight alone, she had still chosen to protect us.The realization lodged in my chest like a knife, twisting with every breath.Across from me, Julian remained tied to the chair, shoulders slumped, eyes fixed on the dirty concrete floor. The fight had drained out of him.Jake broke the silence first. “You should’ve told us sooner.”Julian laughed—a bitter, hollow sound that made my skin crawl. “What difference would it have made?”I stared at him. “My sister spent months carrying that burden alone because of you.”His jaw tightened. “I know.”The simple admission surprised me. No excuses or deflection.I stepped closer. “Why are you suddenly being honest?”Julian looked up. For the first time, he looked like his expression was genuine. He looked Worn down and hollowed out. He g

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    What Grief made me Do

Quin's POVJake called exactly two hours later before I could call him like he asked me to.Then again four hours after that, and once more the following morning. Each conversation ended the same way.He had nothing. No new files. No hidden accounts. No secret communications that explained Julian’s chilling final words. No smoking gun. No proof of what Billie had supposedly refused to do.Nothing.It was driving me insane.I sat in my office staring out at the New York skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The city pulsed and moved below me—alive, indifferent. Meanwhile, my sister was ash in an urn, and the man who might know why was still walking around free. It's been three days since Julian had stood in my living room and implied Billie’s death could have been prevented if she had only listened to him. Three days of dead ends and mounting fury.I was done waiting. My phone buzzed. It was Jake again. I answered immediately.“Tell me you’ve got something.”He sighed. That was

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    A Lie Called Love

Quin's POVThe second my fist connected with Julian’s face, something inside me cracked wide open. The precise way something gives when it has been holding too much pressure for far too long and finally finds a release, because I felt relieved and released at the same time. All the years of practiced self control vanished in a single, satisfying burst of violence.Julian crashed backward into the coffee table with a loud crack. Papers scattered. A mug shattered against the floor. He went down with the graceless collapse. He wasn't expecting that reaction. But I didn't stop there, I went down with him and kept punching his face for at least 3 minutes which wasn't enough compared to how he treated her.Tyler didn't try to stop me. I was grateful for how he let me have my fill. After landing the last one I stood over him, breathing hard. My knuckles burned with clean, sharp pain. Everything else in the past week had felt distant, muffled behind the thick glass of grief. This pain cut st

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Stepping in to Lion's Den

Tyler's POVI missed Billie.Sometimes I feel guilty for those two days I didn't tell Quin about her diagnosis. A lot of what ifs keep popping into my head. What if I had told him the first day she told me, it would have given him extra two days. And the ‘what if’ that hurts the most was, what if I wasn't in Quin's life, maybe he would have paid more attention to his sister.I decided I was going to make the most of whatever time I have with him and be there for him as long as he needs me.Quin was obviously trying hard to act tough around his parents, but we both know even the strongest feel weak sometimes, and they need a shoulder to cry on.Jake had come over the previous day to see Quin. Their friendship is truly admiring. Quin really needed his friend.Cassie had called me a million times and even cried on the phone with me until I felt better. I could never love her less. She's the best. The morning was going in a very different direction. For someone who was grieving hours ago,

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    The last thing she left behind

Quin's POVThe flight back to New York was silent. There was nothing comfortable about the silent though. It was just heavy and suffocating. Something irreplaceable has been taken out of my life, nothing feels comfortable. My sister was in the overhead compartment. The thought hit me every time my eyes drifted upward. I still couldn't believe that Billie, with her once big bright smile was now in a small cold urn.I hated it. I hated the way the flight attendant’s eyes softened when she looked at us. I hated the way turbulence made me imagine the urn shifting, as if even in death Billie couldn’t stay still. I hated that this was what remained.Tyler sat beside me the entire flight, his hand wrapped firmly around mine but we barely spoke. There was nothing left to say that wouldn’t sound hollow. Every now and then his thumb brushed across my knuckles,it felt like a silent anchor. I held on like it was the only thing keeping me from shattering apart at thirty thousand feet. The crematio

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Not ready to say Goodbye

Quin's POV"No."The word tore from my throat before my brain even caught up. It hung in the sterile air like a challenge, like a plea no one could answer. The doctor kept speaking—his voice low, measured and professional. Nurses moved around the bed with practiced efficiency. Machines hummed and beeped their indifferent rhythm. Somewhere behind me, my mother’s sobs fractured the room. But all of it faded beneath the relentless ringing in my ears.No. No. No. No.This wasn’t happening.Billie was sleeping. That was all. She’d pushed herself too hard, fought too long. She was exhausted and needed to rest. Any second now her eyelids would flutter open, and she’d give me that trademark half-smirk, the one that said she knew exactly how much she’d worried us and didn’t regret a single second of it.I stared at the monitor. At the flat green line that stretched endlessly across the screen. My brain refused to process what my eyes were seeing. Because an hour ago she had been talking—her vo

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Miss me Babe?

Tyler’s POVI should have just gone to Quin's room. At least I would be too busy to check my phone. But then I had to play hard to get and now I'm restless and can't sleep. Aiden is a terrible person, which was the main reason I cut him off. But what does he mean he's coming to take what's his...I

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    He is Mine

Quin’s POVTyler didn’t push me away this time. That was the first thing I noticed. Not the tears or the way his shoulders shook before going still, and not even the way his hands had clenched weakly against my shirt before losing whatever strength they had left. It was the lack of resistance. He w

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Something is definitely Wrong with Me

Quin’s POVSomething must have gotten into me.I carried Tyler from the couch downstairs and took him to his room. I even stayed beside him throughout. That's not me. It couldn't be. I'm not a doctor so why would I care about him like that.I might need to call Billie later, she once studied to be

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    One Hell of an Entertainment

Quin’s POVDinner with my parents was an absolute disaster. But I don't care because my father won't have a reason to not give me what belongs to me all in the name of marriage.I still don't know why he thinks marriage is that important. I'd rather get myself different playthings than to be tied t
