After leaving Joyce Feather once she entered her room, I carefully returned to my office.

I am also wide awake. The walk was certainly enlightening, and I hoped she got more comfortable with my presence, even if it was a little bit.

I was annoyed that our time outside was cut short by Markus, but nonetheless, it was longer than any time I had spent with her in the last four weeks she had stayed in this pack.

While I wanted to sit there in my office and go over every conversation I had with her, I needed to handle business first, and that meant putting the main pack house in order and warning everyone of the guests we would have the next day, which was just hours away.

I opened the mind link between the few people I needed, and while I was not happy about waking them up from their sleep, I called them to my office.

I waited for a few minutes.
