I stood in the same spot, dumbfounded by the blatant disrespect that I received from the cloaked woman. “I am so sorry for our servant’s behavior, Prince Enzo,” Queen Grace said, glaring at the direction the woman ran off to. “She has always been like this.”I frowned. “You have such a defiant servant? Then why do you still keep her around?”“She’s blind,” King Leo interrupted. “Our kingdom has such a kind heart that we decided to keep a blind servant around,” he boasted, while the other members of the royal family empathetically nodded their heads. “Blind?” I tilted my head to the side. For some reason, the story of the blind princess went through my mind, but I decided to brush it off. Princess Isabelle walked over my way and held onto my hand, breaking me out of my thoughts. I looked at our intertwined fingers and frowned. “The food is getting cold, your highness. Why don’t we sit down and continue our chat?” she said in a sweet voice. I looked at her face and couldn’t help but notice that the princess was indeed beautiful. I also felt that our energies are quite similar. Maybe, it’s because the two of us are Alphas. “Oh, don’t they look good together?” Queen Grace gushed while looking at the two of us. “Come here,” she said. “You can sit together.”I merely nodded my head while Isabelle blushed. The two of us sat down, yet I still couldn't take my mind away from the blind servant I met a while ago. Before I could control my mouth, I decided to ask—“That blind servant—what is her name?”The royal family looked at each other, and the table became silent for quite a while. Evelyn cleared her throat and took a sip of water. “You don’t have to mind her, your highness. She’s no one. She’s nothing but a servant in this castle.”***I pursed my lips together to suppress the yawn that was bubbling in my chest. “Isabelle is also really good at horse riding! She can show you around if you’d like,” Evelyn boasted. I merely nodded my head. The Lockhart family has been boasting about Isabelle’s accomplishments and hobbies ever since I sat down, and I can clearly see the determination of the family to get me to marry their precious princess.“She also won a cooking contest last year. It was held in your castle, Prince Enzo, and she competed with many princesses around the country yet still managed to place first!” her cousin added. “That’s nice,” I said, taking a bite of the cake they had brought out for dessert. I grimaced a bit at how sweet it was. “In fact,” Queen Grace said. “She’s the one who baked this cake.”Oh. I placed my fork down. It does not fit my taste, but to each to their own, I guess?“Is it to your liking?” Isabelle asked, looking at me with a wide smile on her face. I wanted to tell her that it tasted like shit, but I just smiled and uttered a small—”yes.”With my response, Isabelle's smile widened.I glanced at the clock and saw that it had already been two hours since our conversation started, and most of it consisted of Isabelle’s family flexing their wealth and boasting about Isabelle. I tapped my foot on the ground, not really listening to what they were talking about. “Your highness? Prince Enzo?”I snapped out of my daze when Grace called my name. “Mmh, what?” I clarified.Grace smiles and repeats her question. “I asked—Why did you pick Isabelle?”I pursed my lips together. If I'm going to be honest, the reason for this marriage is it’s all because I'm looking for someone to marry. It just so happens that Isabelle was the most convenient person to marry. She’s an Alpha, and she also lives in the nearest kingdom to ours. So, I had to come up with a valid excuse. “She’s pretty,” I simply said. ***“So, how did it go, son?” my dad asked. The two of us were now in the car, talking about what happened in my conversation with the Lockhart family. I hummed and did not answer. “Why?” he asked, gauging my reaction. “Is she not to your liking?”I shrugged my shoulders. “She didn’t speak much, actually. And I can’t judge her character yet. However, her family seems to be a bit boastful.”He clicked his tongue. “I’ve heard about such rumors, but I guess they’re true. But is that so much of a concern? It’s Isabelle you’re marrying after all.”“I’m still not sure,” I said “Then, do you want to pick another bride? I can give you the folder that contains the list of candidates once more. There are omegas in the list—”“I’m not going to marry an omega,” I quickly cut him off. “That’s final.”He sighed and massaged the bridge of his nose. “Then, do you want to stay here for some time—maybe a month or so, to learn more about Isabelle?”I pursed my lips together and glanced at my watch. “What time do we head back?”“It’s up to you,” he said. “But preferably before it gets dark.”“I’ll take a look around the castle, then,” I said. I still need some time to clear my mind and see whether I would like to stay here.“I’ll be back before 7 PM.”“Alright,” he nodded. “I’ll be waiting here, then.”I nodded my head and left the car to walk through the castle grounds.I felt the admiring stares of the people as I walked through the grounds. Normally, I would bask in this attention, but I wanted some time to think for myself, so I took the more peculiar route. I saw a grassy trail leading to the back of the castle and decided to walk there instead. It seemed like I made a good decision since no one was in sight as I walked through the trail. My mind was filled with thoughts about my pending marriage. Will Isabelle really be a suitable wife? Or shall I find another woman to marry? Before I even knew it, I had already arrived at a strange-looking place—something that felt like it wasn't a part of the castle. It looked like the place had been abandoned for years, yet the garden looked quite well-kempt, which signified that somebody must be living here. I saw a cottage not far away from where I was and became even more curious. I smelled a delicious scent coming from the house as I walked closer and closer. I also heard someone humming a beautiful tune inside. A woman, huh?Somehow, the scent of her cooking and the sound of her voice led me to the front of the door. I was about to knock on the door, so I could ask permission before entering the house, but I saw that the door was left open. So without even knocking, I opened the door and entered.ENZOI stopped in my tracks when I saw the cloaked servant from a while ago cooking some type of meal. Now that I entered her home, I smelled her sweet scent once more, and it made me grimace. Peach. She smells of peach. It was pleasant to the nose, but just knowing that it was coming from an omega made my stomach churn. I was about to head out of the cottage when she suddenly spoke. "Weston, you're back?" she said in a bubbly voice, very in contrast with how anxious she sounded a while ago. Weston? Who the fuck is that?"You came right on time. I just finished making dinner." She walked over to where I was, and I frowned when I saw that she was still wearing her cloak. She chuckled and tried to hold onto my hand to lead me to the dining area, but I took a step back before our skin could make contact. She froze. "Weston, Is there something wrong?"I couldn't respond. The moment I would open my mouth to speak, I knew that she would know that I wasn't this "Weston" guy. So, I
KEILAHI felt the man’s hands and noticed that they were bigger and rougher than Weston’s. I could also feel its bulging veins running along his skin. When holding onto his shoulders, he was much taller than I was. Weston was only a few inches taller than me, so that gave it away. The man right in front of me is not Weston. But who would come here and intrude in my cottage? As far as I know, nobody else but my relatives knows about this place. And this man right in front of me certainly didn’t feel like my other cousins.“Who are you?” I asked, abruptly moving away from him. My back hit the wall as my heart beat faster in my chest. He kept silent, and I wondered if he was still there. “Speak!” I said, feeling more fearful in my heart.“Should you really raise your voice at a prince?” he asked, and I immediately recognized his voice.Prince Enzo. The very prince that Isabelle is supposed to marry. What is he doing here?I took a step back, but I had nowhere else to go. I could see h
ENZO“We’re so glad that you chose to stay here,” Queen Grace greeted me as soon as I went inside their mansion.I nodded my head. “I’ll be staying here for the entire month with my guard, Matthew. Thank you for accommodating us.”“No need to thank us. We have already prepared everything for your stay. Matthew will be staying in one of the rooms on the first floor.”“Thank you,” Matthew bowed. “On the other hand, I prepared your room upstairs, Enzo,” she smiled. “Just right across Isabelle’s room.”“Alright,” I said. Although I would much prefer to stay here downstairs with Matthew, I was thankful that Isabelle and I didn’t have to share a room with each other. “Well then, let us lead you to your rooms.”The servants escorted Matthew to his room while Queen Grace led me to mine.“Your room is right here,” she said. “I hope you enjoy your stay. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to knock on Isabelle’s door. You can even stay in her room if you’d like,” she said in a joking manne
KEILAHI felt tears brimming in my eyes as I felt the cold mud against my skin.I tried standing up, but the mud only pulled me down, causing me to sit back down with a pathetic splattering sound. I tried this a couple more times, but they only resulted in the same event. My cousins’ laughter resounded once more, continually teasing me for my struggles. I turned toward their direction.“Can you—can you help me please?” I asked, swallowing my pride. As much as I tried, I don’t think I’ll be able to get out of here without anybody else’s help.“But you look so comfortable!” Evelyn exclaimed. “We’ll leave for a while, so try to enjoy your stay, alright?”“Wh—what?” I stammered. “You’re going to leave me here?”They chuckled, then I heard their chattering and chuckles becoming more and more distant. “Wait! Help me out!” I exclaimed, but they continued to ignore my words. After a few seconds, everything turned silent, so I knew that they were already gone—and I was all alone in this mud
Trigger Warning: This chapter contains mature sexual content. Read at your own discretion. ENZO I don't even know what I'm doing back here. I stared at the humble cottage right before my eyes and shook my head in disbelief. I just wanted to walk around since I felt suffocated in the mansion, but before I even knew it, my feet led me here—back to the blind omega's cottage. Keilah—that's her name. I heard it after that Weston guy called for her. "Fuck," I muttered under my breath. I should head back and forget about her existence. She's an omega—the kind that I hate, and I shouldn't let my beliefs be swayed just because I'm curious about what she looks like. I turned away from the cottage and started walking back, when I smelled the familiar scent of peach getting stronger and stronger than before. I frowned. That's fucking strange. Why does her scent smell even sweeter than usual? Am I hallucinating? It turns out, I wasn't hallucinating; because the next thing I knew, I
KEILAHI opened my eyes as I felt the sunlight trickling from the windows. Then, pain erupted in my body.At that moment, I also remembered everything that had happened last night. It was hazy, but I still remember his touch.Enzo.I uttered his name over and over again as he pleasured my body. I was in my heat, and that was the very first time that someone had helped me get through it.That’s when the tears came streaming down my face. He saw my face, and I clearly remember the way he didn’t even let me kiss him last night.I didn’t have any clothes on except for the blanket he had left me. Even at this point, I can still smell his scent on my body.“You’ve got what you wanted,” his last words echoed in the back of my mind. What does he mean by that?Is he insinuating that I was using my heat against him? If that is what he’s thinking, then he’s wrong. I know that it’s not an excuse that I wasn’t in my right mind, but still, he’s also one to blame for how the situation panned out.
KEILAH "What?" I asked, his words not registering in my mind yet. Servant? "I said—be my servant. Is that too hard to comprehend?" he asked. "But, why me?" I asked. "I didn't do anything wrong to you." He chuckled coldly, taking a step forward. I felt his body right in front of me, yet I couldn't move. The power he was emanating was too much that it made me weak in the knees. "You said you'd do anything, right?" I pursed my lips together and looked to the side. "Don't involve Keilah in any of this," Weston interrupted. "You've already done enough. Face me like a man." "Then, face me in a battle," he said in a cocky voice. "I'm not that hard to please. Whatever you say, goes." "Fine," Weston said. "It's not like I can't beat you anyway." I closed my eyes to think for a second. "When will it be?" Weston challenged. "As soon as possible," Enzo said. "I'll do it," I said, interrupting their conversation. "What?" Weston snapped. "Are you out of your mind, Keilah?" Enz
KEILAHI let out a tired sigh as I wiped my sweat with my cloak. Enzo ordered me to wash all his clothes, and the amount of clothes he has for a month's stay is honestly ridiculous. I don't even know why he wants me to wash all his clothes again when they've been newly sent-out by his family. But, I couldn't really defy his words, so I just let it be. He also wants me to hand wash all of these, which just makes it more difficult. It's a good thing that Marilyn helped me separate the colored clothes from the white ones; otherwise, I don't even know how I'd manage. "Last batch," I muttered under my breath, trying to cheer myself up. I tried convincing myself that this is nothing compared to everything I've been through. I got up from the small chair and stretched my back after I finished washing the clothes. I only had to rinse them one more time, so I excitedly tipped over the soapy water down the drain to replace it with clean water. However, as I went to fetch some clean water,
