Chapter 47 | Breakthrough
Silas
Once I got done with my training, I walked around outside. I didn’t want to go inside knowing that Lux would be leaving. I wasn’t sure if I had it in me to see her leave, so I kept my distance.
I know she will be super busy as she is packing all her belongings in such a hurry. So, imagine my surprise that after an hour of walking around that I can smell her scent towards the waterfall, but also, it’s only her scent. She’s by herself.
My feet walk over to her, unable to resist the opportunity to see her again before she leaves. I stop, awestruck by her, and I watch her from afar for a moment.
Her feet are in the water even though it’s freezing, her head is tilted back looking towards the sun, her dark hair is in a braid that sits neatly on her shoulder, and she hums softly to herself. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on.
