Three

Minerva tried to put her hand on her face out of habit. But she recalled that the current her did not have any arm and wrist strength. So, she decided to recline her small body and stare at the wide ceiling.

'Wow, even the ceiling was beautiful.' She thought as she admired the pretty butterflies that were drawn on the ceiling.

'It was inclined to my taste. Not bad! Not bad!' She praised as she nodded her head. But she soon stopped as she felt dizzy.

'Seriously living inside the body of a baby was troublesome!' Minerva thought in annoyance.

"Good morning, Little Miss!" Shirley greeted as soon as she saw her.

"Baa boo ah bah!" Quick, finish the book that you read yesterday! I wanted to know what happened!

"Aww. Was our Little Miss hungry? Alright, alright let's wait for Elise, okay?" Shirley cooed as she rubbed her back.

"Woooo! Ah bah bah!" No! I want you to read the book!

Gah! It's too difficult to communicate with them!

"Okay, okay. We would eat, okay? We would eat."

'No! I didn't want to eat! I wanted you to read the book!'

"Little Miss was there something wrong?" Shirley asked worriedly when she saw that the baby threw tantrums and about to cry.

"Bah boo ah! Ah!"

"Were you perhaps uncomfortable somewhere, Little Miss?" Shirley asked worriedly as she tried to pat her back.

'No! I wanted you to read the book!'

Minerva exhaled in exasperation. This was what she hated the most! Whenever she wanted something unrelated to eating or playing, it was too difficult to communicate with them!

Nevermind. She would just ask once again if she found the book.

Seeing the Little Miss sigh like an adult, Shirley could not stop herself to giggle.

She pinched the baby's soft cheek, "Little Miss, you're so adorable!"

Minerva felt uncomfortable and tried to push her hand away. It was a good thing that Shirley did not try to pinch her cheek once more.

"Shirley, was Little Miss hungry?" Elise asked once she entered the bedroom.

"I guess so? She threw a tantrum just a while ago."

"What?! Why? What happened? Was she perhaps uncomfortable somewhere?" Elise asked with her voice full of worry.

Minerva casually listened to the two while she was still on the high chair. She did not insist to read the book anymore. Never mind, she just wanted to have something better to do other than to eat and sleep. Seriously, she was bored to death!

'I mean, this was what I want before but it was because there was internet! It was different here! I didn't even know where in the world am I!' She complained inwardly. But no matter how long Minerva would rattle, her situation did not improve even a little bit.

'At least, I was living a life of luxury. Just by the sight of the room alone, I knew that I must be from a wealthy family.' Minerva thought, 'But still, it was so boring!'

Minerva heaved a sigh. Couldn't they, at least, took her outside for a stroll? She was inside this room for four months already!

Now that she thought about it, Minerva could not believe that she lived here for four months. Until now, she still felt that this was just a figment of her imagination or just a dream. But there was also a part of her that thought that this was real. That this was her reality now.

However, it did not make any sense! How did it happen? Was she hit by truck-kun while sleeping?

Okay, that was a lame joke. She lived on the third floor of the apartment building. How could she hit by a truck?

Minerva felt her head throb from guessing. If no one could explain to her what was happening and how did this possible transmigration occur, she might lose her mind!

'I guess I need to distract myself from thinking about this.'

"It seems that Little Miss was alright now. How about we start feeding her?" Shirley proposed when she saw their Little Miss being well-behaved.

"Alright." Elise readily agreed as she nodded her head.

Minerva stayed silent and let them feed her obediently.

After the supper, she patted her full tummy. Out of habit, she glanced at the window. Ah, how she yearned to go outside.

"How about we take the Little Miss to a stroll outside?" Out of the blue, Elise suggested. Minerva hastily looked in her direction and nodded vehemently.

"Look, even the Little Miss agreed!" Elise giggled at the baby whose head had bobbed up and down.

"Little Miss was so smart! Sometimes I could feel that she understood what I was saying." Shirley said as she recalled their Little Miss actions.

"Of course she would be! She was the child of the Duke Ivrea after all." Elise said proudly like a mother hen. Shirley just shook her head as she laughed and carried their Little Miss.

"Alright, Little Miss. We would head outside now." Shirley said as she carried the child in her arms.

'Finally! I could go outside!' Minerva thought as her eyes shone from excitement.

As soon as they went outside the room, Minerva was greeted with a wide corridor. Her little mouth was wide open as she stared at how beautiful it was. The thick pillars that supported the ceiling were covered in white and gold. Even the entire floor was covered in the carpet!

'I could not believe I lived in this beautiful house–no mansion! And they even referred to me as their Little Miss!' Minerva thought as she gaped in shock while she looked around the wide corridor.

'Did it mean that this mansion was also mine?' When her thoughts reach there, she suddenly felt excited. Wow, this beautiful mansion was hers! Amazing!

"Miss Shirley, Miss Elise. May we know where you took the Little Miss?" As Minerva was distracted while she stared at the design of the corridor, a group of knights approached them.

"Sir Kevin." Shirley greeted the head of the knights, "Elise and I decided to take the Little Miss outside for a stroll. Would you mind coming with us?"

"That would be our honor," Kevin said as he sneaked a glance towards the child in Shirley's arms.

Not only Kevin but the knights behind him also sneaked a glance towards the child. This was the first time they saw their Little Miss and they were curious about how she looked like. But as they saw her in person, they inwardly nodded their heads. Truly the child of the Duke of Ivrea. She took almost the exact mold as her father!

What a pity, Her Grace was also a beauty yet the Little Miss did not look like her even just a little bit.

"Then, let's go," Elise said as she and Shirley started to walk.

Minerva curiously glanced at the knights behind them. She already guessed that she might transmigrate somewhere that was like the Middle Ages in Europe when she calmed down after a few weeks of confusion. Especially when she saw Elise, Shirley, and the other maids, as well as the interior design of the room she resided in.

But now, as she saw the real knights in person, it confirmed her speculation.

She studied each knight in her sight. While doing so, the knights tried to suppress their smiles as they found their Little Miss adorable as she stared at them with interest.

"Little Miss, look, this was your grandmother." Elise interrupted Minerva's observation of the knights.

'Huh? Grandmother?'

When Minerva heard the word 'grandmother', a figure emerged on her head. She was distracted for a moment but immediately shook her head as she tried to erase the image that she had remembered.

"Little Miss, this was your grandmother," Elise said as they stood in front of the huge painting of a beautiful woman.

Minerva's eyes almost popped out as she gawked at the beautiful woman. What?! This beautiful woman was her grandmother?! Wasn't she too beautiful?

The beautiful woman in the painting looked like in her early twenties. Her light blonde hair was in an updo bun that made her face fully exposed. Her pale blue eyes were filled with wisdom and grace. With her chin raising, she gave off an aura of a majestic queen.

"She was pretty, wasn't she?" Shirley said while staring at the painting in admiration.

Pretty? What pretty? She was majestic!

Wow! She hadn't seen someone as beautiful as her! And to think that she was her grandmother!

As they noticed that their Little Miss gawked at the painting of His Grace's mother, they could not help but to also stare at the painting of this legendary woman.

"Bah bah wah!"

Elise smiled as she gazed at the child in Shirley's arms, "Wow, Little Miss, did you recognize your grandmother? What did you think? Wasn't she beautiful?"

Minerva nodded her head. Beautiful. Extremely beautiful!

Shirley chuckled and moved forward to the painting. "Then Little Miss, how about you greet your grandmother? Say, 'Hello, Grandmother Lianna!'"

As soon as she heard her grandmother's name, Minerva stilled for a moment. Lianna? Like Princess Lianna in the book that Shirley read yesterday?

'Pfft. That was just a story, wasn't it? They just had the same name.' Minerva thought as she comforted herself. But soon, she could not comfort herself anymore.

"Your grandmother was Princess Lianna. Hadn't I read you a book yesterday, Little Miss? Your grandmother and Princess Lianna in the book were the same! Awesome, right?"

Minerva gaped in shock when Shirley dropped the bomb.

What?! They were the same person?!

Her grandmother was that badass who played the king of the Moren Empire like a fool? It was her grandmother?!

No wonder she gave off an aura of a queen! Well, she was a queen!

"You already read the book to Little Miss about His Grace and Princess Lianna?" Elise asked Shirley as she wiped the saliva that had dripped on their Little Miss' mouth.

"Of course! It would be good if the Little Miss would know about what happened to Her Highness Princess Lianna and His Grace before they reached where they were now."

"You talk as if the Little Miss would understand what you said."

As Elise and Shirley conversed, Minerva thought deeply as she tried to recall the incomplete story that Shirley read to her yesterday.

If Princess Lianna was her grandmother and the story was based on real-life, then…

"Ah? Little Miss?" Shirley asked in confusion as the child suddenly punched her shoulder.

'Right! Lorenzo!'

In the book that she read before she possibly transmigrated here, she remembered that the book started about a yellow jeweled eye kid which was named Lorenzo.

And 'coincidentally', in the book that Shirley read yesterday, it also mentioned the jeweled eye guy that was named Lorenzo!

Was there such a coincidence?

Jeweled eyes… jeweled eyes…

Right! Princess Lianna's child also had a jeweled eye!

If Princess Lianna was her grandmother, then did it meant that the child with the jeweled eye in the story was her father?

Minerva's body froze when her thoughts reach there. Father… father…

Did it mean… that she now had a father?

She had a father… she had a father…

Minerva quivered with that thought. She had a father. She now had a father! She finally had a father!
