Prologue

Darcy Fletcher had to compromise with her life after her father’s business collapsed due to some family issue and her family became a topic of gossip in the entire city no one came forward to help her but at that moment Billionaire Gale Harris, arrived at her doorstep and agreed to help her, she readily agreed in order to save her employees from being jobless but little did she realize that she would fall head over heels in love with him.

But when he proposes a marriage of convenience. She was convinced that he was marrying her for all the wrong reasons and she refuses to put her heart on the line. How can she marry a man, who will never love her, while she is so desperately in love with him? But will she compromise for her family and get married to him or will she leave her beloved Michigan forever and run away from him?

Prologue

Gale encircled her in his arms not allowing her to move an inch away from him

"It will happen whether you like it or nor Darcy, you and me burning for each other like this." He said huskily."

She was struggling to get out of his embrace but her heart wanted something else. She lifted her face proudly and stared at his face but at that instance, his head sought her lips and kissed her passionately proving her mouth to open up to him.

"No! She exclaimed breathlessly as she pulled her face away from him.

His kisses had unnerved her thoroughly, as she had never been kissed so ruthlessly and yet it felt so good. Although she was not going to admit it to him. 

Gale loosened his arms around her making her free and looked at her with a smile on his face.

"Well, we have a long way to go Darcy and everything is fair in love and war." He whispered softly.

Darcy felt as if her whole world had shattered and she forced herself to speak. "Well, Gale you wouldn't know it would you? As you did not have the taste of love in your life nor would you like to fall in love." She said bitterly.
