Mira's POV,

The door clicked shut behind Kieran and the sudden quiet in the room suffocated me with a hellish pain. I stood frozen, staring blankly at the empty space where he had stood just moments ago.

"Moon Goddess, why do you have to be so cruel to me?"

My heart twisted with a wave of sobs and a sharp, gnawing pain at a truth I couldn’t escape. Kieran! My Kieran.
