Before anyone could react, Ashely’s hand lashed out at lightning speed, delivering two sharp slaps across Vanessa’s face.

Smack!

Smack!

The sound echoed loudly across the room, stunning everyone into shock.

Vanessa clutched her burning cheek, her eyes widening in disbelief as she stared at Ashley. For a moment, she even forgot to continue her pitiful act, not believing this poor nobody had actually dared to slap her.

“What the fuck Ashley! How dare you touch Vanessa?” Caleb roared, his anger spilling over as he rose from his seat, staring daggers at his now ex-wife Ashley. It was taking him everything just to hold back from acting impulsively.

However, to his dismay, before he could reprimand her again, Ashley raised her hand and delivered a hot slap across his face.

The room went deathly silent.

Mouths hung open as the rest of the Montclair family stared at Ashley in utter shock. No one had seen that coming. Not even Caleb himself.

To the outside world, he was known as the cold and untouchable billionaire, the powerful heir feared by countless people.

No one dared to challenge him.

No one dared to raise their voice at him.

And certainly no one had ever dared to lay a hand on him before.

And yet, here was Ashley, the very woman he had looked down on for years, slapping him without the slightest hesitation.

“What? Are you angry because I hit your childhood sweetheart?” Ashley laughed bitterly, her voice trembling with barely restrained fury. “Well, what I did is nothing compared to what you and your family have put me through.

I did everything you ever asked of me. I threw away my dreams just to please you. I turned myself into some pathetic, lovesick fool hoping to earn your love and trust. But what did I get in return? Divorce papers and betrayals? You chose to believe this wicked woman over your own wife even after I told you she framed me. You’re the worst kind of man, Caleb Montclair. You’re a coward. A spineless man no woman should ever love.”

She turned towards Vanessa, her eyes burning red with rage. “And you… that slap was for framing me and accusing me of something I never did. If I had known from the start that you planned to destroy my life like this, then I would’ve stabbed you myself and thrown you down those stairs… At least then, you wouldn’t be sitting here pretending to be a victim. I would’ve made sure you never walked again” Ashley paused, breathing heavily, her chest heaving with every world.

She wished she could just go on and keep slapping them until she could no longer go on, instead, she held back, redirecting her anger towards the rest of the family again.

“Like I said, I’m leaving your lives for good. You will never hear from me again. And for your sake, I hope our paths never cross again, because I, Ashley Stone, will never forgive any of you for the pain you’ve caused me. From this moment onwards, we’re strangers. And I hope every single one of you rot in hell.” Ashley declared, her voice trembling as tears spilled from her eyes.

For their sake, she desperately hoped that she would never cross paths with the Montclair family again. Because if that day ever came… she would not hesitate to destroy them with her own hands.

Taking one final glance at their faces, Ashley turned and walked out of the manor, stepping into the raging storm, leaving behind the shattered remains of her dreams.

The heavy rain poured mercilessly over her body in thick sheets, soaking her completely within seconds as muddy water splashed against the hem of her dress. But she didn’t mind, allowing her tears to fall freely, blending with the rain running down her face.

Slowly, her trembling hand drifted towards her stomach, rubbing slow circles as she cried.

“I-I’m so sorry honey, I thought today was going to be a special day because I wanted to introduce you to someone special… someone I thought would love as I already do. But I couldn’t even keep my promise,” Ashely burst into uncontrollable tears. She had no idea what hurt the most. The fact that she had just divorced the man she loved, or that she was carrying his child, yet never got the chance to tell him.

She cried and cried and cried until there were no tears left…

Then finally, after what felt like an eternity, Ashley did the one thing she never thought she would do.

With shaking hands, she pulled out her phone and dialed her brother’s number.

  • The Bride He Abandoned    The Woman In Red

A Few Hours AgoThe Montclair Family ManorCaleb sighed deeply after reading the last line of the proposal rejection email. “I was such a big fool to think they were going to help us,” he mumbled in defeat, massaging his temples. His hair was messy due to the amount of times he had run his fingers through them. The first three buttons of his shirt was left undone and his eyes were swollen from lack of sleep.“You don’t have to blame yourself love, you’ve done your best.” Vanessa said softly from where she sat opposite him.“Can’t you see my best is not enough, if I don’t take care of this issue soon, the company could go under, and we’ll lose everything we’ve worked so hard to build.” Caleb said in frustration, tossing the phone to the desk. Ashley’s smile widened the moment she felt her little girl’s arms wrap tightly around her back. She deepened the hug, rubbing her back softly as soft giggles escaped her lips. After a few moments, Ashley slowly pulled away just enough to look at her face.“Look who’s up and all dressed up,” Ashley said, rubbing her tiny hands softly. “Ready to follow mama to her big party tonight?”Sophia’s face lit up like the sun itself. She threw her small hands into the air and shouted, “Yes! Let’s go!”Ashley couldn’t help but laugh softly. This little bundle of joy had been her solace for years. That laugh—bright and innocent—was the one thing that had kept her grounded during endless nights of pain and loneliness. She reached over and pulled Sophia into a hug, holding her close.“Okay, princess,” Ashley whispered, her lips pressing lightly against Sophia’s hair. “But you have to promise to listen to mummy throughout tonight alright?”Sophie let out a bright smile, her eyes sparkling. “Okay, mum

  • The Bride He Abandoned    The Real Ashley Beaumont

Five Years Later The Beaumont Family Manor The evening was young and cold, the crisp, autumn breeze sweeping through the Beaumont estate, carrying dried fallen leaves along with it. Inside the Beaumont family manor, Ashley sat in front of her dresser, letting out a quiet sigh as she applied the final touches of her make up. She was dressed in a deep crimson gown that clung to her like a second skin, the smooth fabric outlining every curve as it flowed down to the floor. A slit ran up one side, revealing her long legs, while the plunging neckline revealed a bit of cleavage, making her look like she’d just stepped out of a magazine cover. “Are you sure this is the right dress for this event, Vee? I feel like I’m doing too much wearing this.” Ashley asked her best friend over face palm. Her iPhone was seated comfortably on the mirror while she adjusted her black diamond earring. “Trust me babes, it’s perfect. This is your first official appearance since returning, so you need to sh
