Chapter five

last update publish date: 2026-03-11 19:54:16

It’s been five days since I started my new school and surprisingly, everything has been going well, more than I expected. Although I have earned a name for myself, nobody has come looking for my trouble. My friendship with Christy was improving and I might say we are heading over to the BFF barge, yeah, that’s if my parents don't return one day and announce that we are moving. I have had three BFF’s and three of them are no longer in contact with me because I moved so far away from them and I can’t even tell when next we would be seeing each other again.

I packed my books and walked to the cafeteria. I should head to my locker and drop my books but Christy is already waiting for me and I don’t want to delay her further. Stepping into the noisy cafeteria, I sighed and searched for her. I saw her waving at me, urging me to come to her which I did. “I was beginning to wonder if you have lost your way,” she said immediately I approached her.

“I’m sorry, I can’t possibly tell what delayed me and I’m starving,” I placed my books on the table and said to her, “I will be right back,” I scurried off to fill my plate.

Returning to the table with my tray, I sat down and began eating, “my, you are really hungry,” I heard Christy say.

“You have no idea.”

“Anyway, guess what?”

“What?” I asked with a mouthful.

“Josh is throwing a party tonight and guess who is coming? Adrian!” She whispered his name in a fawning manner.

“Okay, you literally asked a question and you answered it yourself,” I reminded her.

“I can’t help it, I just love saying his name,” she continued in that same voice.

I rolled my eyes at her stupidity, I mean, what is so special about the guy? “First of all, who is Josh?”

“Really, did you just ask that question?”

“I think I did.”

“Girl, this is your fifth day in this school, where have you been?”

“Are you answering the question or what?”

“Fine, he is the captain of the football team and he is friends with Adrian and Kevin.”

“Who is Kevin?”

“Are you joking or are you serious?” She raised her eyebrow at me.

I chuckled, “fine fine, I know him.”

“Good, so after school, are you coming to my house or are we going to yours?”

“What for?”

“To prepare for the party of course.”

“I’m not going.”

“Why not?”

“First of all, I have a little brother and he is just thirteen, I can’t afford to leave him home alone and second of all, my parents are not going to be happy if they found out I did that, third, I don’t think I want to go to a party with Adrian.”

“Don’t think I need to introduce myself anymore then,” a voice said above us and we looked up to see him. Talk about the devil. He drew a chair and sat down, “hi.”

“Oh my God, Adrian is sitting at our table, do you know what that means?” Christy shrieked.

“That we need to kick him out?” I filled in.

A low chuckle rang beside me and just for once, I will admit it was beautiful, now don’t expect me to ever say that again. I turned to him and he was looking at me, his ocean eyes as bright as the sea, and it wasn’t helping with the sunlight seeping into the cafeteria, “may I ask how you are going to do that?”

“With my leg of course,” I answered, just then, I noticed how everywhere had turned quiet and how all eyes were on me.

Adrian bent over and I wanted to ask what he was doing when he sat up and smiled, “I’m afraid your legs are too small to do that.” Unbelievable, this guy actually bent down to look at my legs? Is he for real?

“Don’t worry, you will be surprised at how strong it is, don’t let the look deceive you.”

He chuckled once more, revealing pearly white teeth, “I like your enthusiasm.”

“It’s not a matter of enthusiasm but how strong it really is. Now, enough chitchats, why are you here?” I gave him my full attention, waiting for his answer.

“Molly, we really need to go," Christy said and I looked at her.

“Why do we need to go?” I frowned.

“Have you forgotten what I told you?” She was looking at a table behind her and I followed her gaze to see Stacy staring at us with a mischievous smile on her lips. Then I remembered.

“Please don’t go,” Adrian said.

I looked at him, “go where? The only person going is you.”

He smiled, “I like that, well, rest assured I’m not going anywhere.”

“Molly,” Christy called again and I glared at her.

“Calm down Chris, he is the one to leave our table for us.”

“But I don’t want to drink toilet water.”

“And who said you would be?” I asked her.

“You know what? Let’s talk after school, okay?” She stood up, picked her bag and walked out of the cafeteria.

“Coward,” I yelled after her.

“Thank you,” she yelled back.

I looked at the guy who is now alone with me, “first of all, let me start by saying that I hate you,” his eyes widened in shock, “and second, you just made it worse by driving my friend away, so which means I hate-hate you.”

“Wow, that’s literally the first time I have heard a girl say to my face that she hates me,” he shook his head in surprise.

“And you will be receiving more firsts if you don’t get out of my table,” I warned.

“My friends are right,” he chuckled, “you really have a vicious tongue.”

“I haven’t even used it on you, but it's good you noticed. Now, what do you want from me?”

“Simple, I want to be your genie.”

Harley’s POVIn Aiden’s hand was a book of mine which he really shouldn’t be holding. The book wasn’t innocent at all and the fact that Aiden had found it in my room and was lying on my bed with his legs crossed as he read it, I didn’t want to think about what was happening in the page I left my bookmark. I was reading the book last night and getting to that part, I had became lost in thought, imagining Aiden doing all those things to me and had fallen asleep during the process which was why I had a dirty dream about him last night.“My, my, you always looked so innocent and it turns out now that you aren’t innocent at all,” Aiden’s voice sipped into my thought and I closed my eyes, wishing for heaven to save me. “He ran his fingers up my thigh and my body shivered in tantalizing pleasure…” Aiden read a line from the book and I couldn’t bring myself to open my eyes and look at him. “I moaned as his hand touched my clit and I looked deep into his ocean blue eyes, begging him to please

Harley’s POVI didn’t want to think of the reason he would exclaim that. I may be a nerd but I wasn’t dumb. From the look in his eyes, I knew instantly that he had been hoping Holly would be the one to open the door, plus, the bouquet of roses he was holding gave the idea away. “What the heck, Ugly?” he snarled.I rolled my eyes, refusing to let him get to me this evening. I crossed my arms on my chest and shrugged, “I tried but she had another date and didn’t want to cancel.”“Another date?” he repeated like the words burned him and for an instant, I felt bad for him. We are so alike in this thing called love. I want him but he doesn’t want me, he wants Holly but she doesn’t want him. The only issue there is that he wasn’t aware of it, I bet he doesn’t even know I am crushing on him big time, after all, I will be the first in my case. Who on earth would be crushing on their bully? “Damn it,” Aiden suddenly screamed and threw the bouquet of roses on the ground. Stumping on it angrily

Harley’s POVI couldn’t believe what I just heard. “You want me to woo Holly for you?” I asked just to be sure I heard correctly.“Yes,” Aiden nodded like he had asked me to do the most natural thing on earth.“Are you out of your mind? How do you expect me to do that?”“Hush now little ugly duckling, let’s not forget who is the boss here.” He reached forward and tucked a strand of my hair that had escaped the braid at the back of my ear. His fingers grazed my skin and my breath hitched. Either he noticed and pretended not to or that he didn’t because he went ahead and said, “I am the only one that get’s to ask the questions, okay?”I looked up at him, my eyes tearing over as I found it hard to believe he wanted me to do that. “How can I do that?”“It’s easy, she is your twin, just tell her to date me, nothing there.”“Holly knows you want her, hell, everybody does. What makes you think that me asking her would make any difference?”“Aish, come on UG, if I had wanted to worry myself

Harley’s POVI went to my class right after the bell rang. My music had long stopped playing since Aiden walked away, disconnecting the airpods. He wasn’t in class neither was Holly and I wasn’t surprised. I silently walked to my desk and sat down, minding my business like I always do. Soon, the class filled up and Holly and her girls entered as well. She was sitting right in front of me but she didn’t glance my way even for a second or to acknowledge the fact that her twin sister was sitting right behind her. Really, I am not affected but it hurts like hell. Our teacher, Mrs. Reyes stood up and started addressing us which I was trying my best to concentrate because I was lost counting the seconds it would take Aiden to come to class. I know, I am addicted to a fault. You would think with the way he is treating me that I should hate him, trust me, I have tried but I just couldn’t. He has this effect on me that no one else has and I really can’t escape from it.Finally, the door opened

Harley’s POVFast forward to four years later, you will be surprised to know that I am still living my miserable life, like really, really miserable life. If you are asking, Eric did what he said he would, Hiddenville isn’t so hidden anymore with all the infrastructures around and people coming over to find work. Yes, he lived up to his reputation but the man and his wife were hardly seen, leaving us with their pompous windbag of a son, Aiden Grey.Aiden not only run my middle school but he is running my high school as well and now I just can’t wait to graduate and put everything behind me, that’s really if I could. I have tried, trust me, I have really tried to put him behind me but try putting a boy as hot as Aiden Grey behind you. I know what you are thinking, why don’t I go after him? Why don’t I confess to him?Trust me, if I could I would. Aiden has not only received a million love letters but have slept with almost all the girls in school. I don’t know for sure if he had done s

Harley’s POVI have never given much thought about my relationship or who I would date but everything had changed when in middle school, a new boy was introduced in my class. It was not supposed to be a big deal but the principal made the whole school stand outside to welcome this new boy. I thought it was too cliché to force the whole students to do this until I found out that the principal was a friend to his parents and they recently moved to Hiddenville because his parents wanted to develop a lot of infrastructures to put a lot of people in work.We were given a lot of info about the family’s biography and were told to be good to their son because they would be bringing a lot of help to our little town and would even make Hiddenville a nice place to attract tourists. Eric Grey was said to be the billionaire philanthropist who travels to little towns like ours and set them up and since he has decided to stay in our town with his family means he loves Hiddenville the most.I can rem
