Chapter five

last update Tanggal publikasi: 2026-03-11 19:54:16

It’s been five days since I started my new school and surprisingly, everything has been going well, more than I expected. Although I have earned a name for myself, nobody has come looking for my trouble. My friendship with Christy was improving and I might say we are heading over to the BFF barge, yeah, that’s if my parents don't return one day and announce that we are moving. I have had three BFF’s and three of them are no longer in contact with me because I moved so far away from them and I can’t even tell when next we would be seeing each other again.

I packed my books and walked to the cafeteria. I should head to my locker and drop my books but Christy is already waiting for me and I don’t want to delay her further. Stepping into the noisy cafeteria, I sighed and searched for her. I saw her waving at me, urging me to come to her which I did. “I was beginning to wonder if you have lost your way,” she said immediately I approached her.

“I’m sorry, I can’t possibly tell what delayed me and I’m starving,” I placed my books on the table and said to her, “I will be right back,” I scurried off to fill my plate.

Returning to the table with my tray, I sat down and began eating, “my, you are really hungry,” I heard Christy say.

“You have no idea.”

“Anyway, guess what?”

“What?” I asked with a mouthful.

“Josh is throwing a party tonight and guess who is coming? Adrian!” She whispered his name in a fawning manner.

“Okay, you literally asked a question and you answered it yourself,” I reminded her.

“I can’t help it, I just love saying his name,” she continued in that same voice.

I rolled my eyes at her stupidity, I mean, what is so special about the guy? “First of all, who is Josh?”

“Really, did you just ask that question?”

“I think I did.”

“Girl, this is your fifth day in this school, where have you been?”

“Are you answering the question or what?”

“Fine, he is the captain of the football team and he is friends with Adrian and Kevin.”

“Who is Kevin?”

“Are you joking or are you serious?” She raised her eyebrow at me.

I chuckled, “fine fine, I know him.”

“Good, so after school, are you coming to my house or are we going to yours?”

“What for?”

“To prepare for the party of course.”

“I’m not going.”

“Why not?”

“First of all, I have a little brother and he is just thirteen, I can’t afford to leave him home alone and second of all, my parents are not going to be happy if they found out I did that, third, I don’t think I want to go to a party with Adrian.”

“Don’t think I need to introduce myself anymore then,” a voice said above us and we looked up to see him. Talk about the devil. He drew a chair and sat down, “hi.”

“Oh my God, Adrian is sitting at our table, do you know what that means?” Christy shrieked.

“That we need to kick him out?” I filled in.

A low chuckle rang beside me and just for once, I will admit it was beautiful, now don’t expect me to ever say that again. I turned to him and he was looking at me, his ocean eyes as bright as the sea, and it wasn’t helping with the sunlight seeping into the cafeteria, “may I ask how you are going to do that?”

“With my leg of course,” I answered, just then, I noticed how everywhere had turned quiet and how all eyes were on me.

Adrian bent over and I wanted to ask what he was doing when he sat up and smiled, “I’m afraid your legs are too small to do that.” Unbelievable, this guy actually bent down to look at my legs? Is he for real?

“Don’t worry, you will be surprised at how strong it is, don’t let the look deceive you.”

He chuckled once more, revealing pearly white teeth, “I like your enthusiasm.”

“It’s not a matter of enthusiasm but how strong it really is. Now, enough chitchats, why are you here?” I gave him my full attention, waiting for his answer.

“Molly, we really need to go," Christy said and I looked at her.

“Why do we need to go?” I frowned.

“Have you forgotten what I told you?” She was looking at a table behind her and I followed her gaze to see Stacy staring at us with a mischievous smile on her lips. Then I remembered.

“Please don’t go,” Adrian said.

I looked at him, “go where? The only person going is you.”

He smiled, “I like that, well, rest assured I’m not going anywhere.”

“Molly,” Christy called again and I glared at her.

“Calm down Chris, he is the one to leave our table for us.”

“But I don’t want to drink toilet water.”

“And who said you would be?” I asked her.

“You know what? Let’s talk after school, okay?” She stood up, picked her bag and walked out of the cafeteria.

“Coward,” I yelled after her.

“Thank you,” she yelled back.

I looked at the guy who is now alone with me, “first of all, let me start by saying that I hate you,” his eyes widened in shock, “and second, you just made it worse by driving my friend away, so which means I hate-hate you.”

“Wow, that’s literally the first time I have heard a girl say to my face that she hates me,” he shook his head in surprise.

“And you will be receiving more firsts if you don’t get out of my table,” I warned.

“My friends are right,” he chuckled, “you really have a vicious tongue.”

“I haven’t even used it on you, but it's good you noticed. Now, what do you want from me?”

“Simple, I want to be your genie.”

Harley’s POV“Wow,” Samantha and her friends wowed when we got to our cabin. It was beautiful no doubt but Aiden’s family own in Hawaii was much bigger and classier but this was good as well.“Nice, Milo really outdid himself here,” Aiden said, draping his arm on my shoulder. “Hey, what do you say we get the best room before anyone else?” he whispered so that our friends wouldn’t hear. In as much as I felt the goose bumps and the butterflies in my stomach when I heard what he said on the fact that we are going to share a room, I still nodded and we secretly escaped up the stairs to find our room. We were checking the third room and was almost deciding the first room we saw was the best when we heard Sam screaming downstairs.“Fuck, Aiden and Harley has left to get the best room,” he shouted and soon after, we heard running footsteps coming up. Aiden and I glanced at each and quickly went to the first room, jumping into the bed together just as Sam stumbled in. “Fuck, no, no, no,” he

Aiden’s POV‘UG, I will only see you. I belong to you. You don’t need to worry about that. I have become yours from the moment I came to this town. I have become yours without even knowing so nothing is going to change now. You will always have me, always.’‘It’s that a promise?’‘It’s a vow. A vow I intend to keep forever.’I heaved a sigh and climbed out of my car. Without planning to, I have sold my soul to UG and I doubt if she even knows it yet. I felt my pocket to feel the ring I had gotten earlier today. I know I can’t ask her to marry me yet, none of our families would agree but I intend to give her a promise. Every pore in my body now breathes her name. I know that I had indirectly told her just how much she means to me but it doesn’t matter, as long as she sees me and only me.I gulped and licked my lips, fetching out the bouquet of lilies I bought for her mom. She has finally agreed to let me have dinner with her family and tomorrow, we are leaving for Canada. I have never

Aiden’s POV“Don’t ask me that,” UG said and I smiled. “You will say something and then you will want me to explain how it makes me feel.”I grinned, “of course, I want to know.”Rolling her eyes, she moved away from me and I chuckled and grabbed her hand, pulling her back into my arms. “Don’t be like that,” I whispered. “You know I hate you walking away from me, shy or not,” I kissed her neck and she melted immediately in my arms. One thing I have noticed as well in my nearly one-month relationship with UG is that I ache for her. Every hour, every minute and every second of the day, I burn for her. My body reacts rapidly to her very presence and anytime I would try to act on my desires, I would remember my promise to her. The very promise I have made to her right when I was asking her to give me a chance, the promise that there won’t be love making till she asks for it.Every day I pray and wish for her to ask for it and relieve me from my pent-up desires but she never asks, not even

Milo’s POVI stood in the corners and watched as Aiden played with Harley. They have gotten so close these past weeks that everyone had gotten used to seeing them together and every rumor that their togetherness brought died off without even affecting them one bit. It all died off when it clocked two weeks of their relationship and they had come to school together in Aiden’s car, holding hands and acting all lovey-dovey like always. Everyone has come to accept them and although Holly tries to act nonchalant, I can see past her that she was really angry. I on the other hand, I am happy with my friend that he finally got his dream girl and happy for Harley that it all worked out in the end but I still can’t get over the feeling that it should have been me.I should have been the one with her, I should have been the one everyone knows as her boyfriend, I should have been the one tousling her hair now while she grinned up at me with those blue eyes that were filled with love. I haven’t go

Aiden’s POV“I knew I would find you here,” I said to the blonde-haired boy punching the bag. Milo looked up at me but he didn’t say anything and went back to his training. I sighed and walked behind the punching bag, holding it steady for him. “The guys are complaining that you have been withdrawing from us these days and they think it’s because of me.”“So you offered to come talk to me?” He asked.“What did you expect? It’s not like Sam would take otherwise,” I shrugged. “But anyways, I have missed you in the team, what’s going on?”“What do you think is going on?”“Is it about Harley?” I asked.“Oh, it’s Harley now, what happened to…”“I call her UG,” I interrupted, “just like I call her Harley, babe, angel, sweetie, and every other endearment. I call her everything and anything but I want to use the one you know her with.”“Why now?” Milo asked, finally stopping to look at me freely and I walked out from behind the punching back.“What do you mean ‘why now’?”“Why did you decide

Harley’s POVMom was busy in the kitchen when I saw Aiden out. I didn’t want her to see him and that was because I didn’t want to introduce him to her yet and Aiden understands as he didn’t even try to question my decision. I closed the door just as he was walking across the street to his car and sighed before going to the kitchen to meet mom. “Hi mom.”“There you are,” she said and looked up from her grocery bag. “Come help me make dinner, Holly said she is going out.”I nodded as a response and went to her, helping her to unpack the bag. I heard her sigh just as I was loading the fridge with the things she bought but I refrained from looking at her or asking what is the matter. “So?” she finally said, “aren’t you going to talk about him?”My hand froze from putting the ketchup in the stand and I gulped before asking, “talk about who?”“The guy I just saw you walking out? I’m not blind Harley. I saw the car parked outside and if Holly was alone when I came in so it must be you the gu

I stood in front of the school, my eyes scanning everywhere with chatting students, this is it, I’m really in a new school, “we will call you honey, take care of yourself and your brother,” mom said behind me and I just nodded. “We love you,” she added.I knew she wanted me to respond but I didn’t

Some people may like that word called moving, but I don’t. I don’t think I like moving at all, the boovs may jump at any sight to move away but I am going to scurry away from any mention of it. Opening my eyes to the sunlight on my face, I sighed, here we go. Another day in a new town, and I’m goin

When I heard her response, I looked at the seat they were sitting on and of course, he was gone and he sent this bitch to do his work for him. I must say I’m glad he found someone else to fill in for him but he really had bad taste for sending her to me. I stood up and she smiled, “good girl, now f
