“Can I have a very good reason why you are late?” The teacher asked.

The drop dead gorgeous guy who I heard his name as Adrian Sanders shrugged, “I’m sorry Mr. Peterson but I ran into traffic and I had to wait for it to clear.”

“Are you running out of excuses? Because if I am to remind you, that was your excuse last week Friday,” Mr. Peterson folded his arms on his chest, waiting for him to defend himself.

“Is it? Oh, but today is Monday Mr. Peterson, there can still be traffic, don't you think?” He raised an eyebrow with a beautiful smile playing on his lips and I knew immediately that if Mr. Peterson was Mrs. Peterson, she would have let him go to his seat, but too bad, he isn’t.

Mr. Peterson sighed, “there is a new girl in class, after class, you are to show her around and her locker, is that understood?”

“Mr. Peterson, can I please know why I have to be some girl’s tour guide?” Adrian asked, running his hand through his shiny hair. He has some balls referring to me as some girl, did I say he is handsome? Bah, he is the ugliest guy I have ever seen and I was tempted to stand up and say that to his face but I held myself, I have done enough episodes for one day.

“That’s the punishment you get for being late, but if you don’t want to do that, you can choose to clean the toilet,” Mr. Peterson said and I smiled, that’s good for him but then I understood that Mr. Peterson actually compared me to the toilet. I mean who would prefer cleaning the toilets when they have to choose between the toilet and a person? What insult? I turned my glare to Mr. Peterson and he was lucky he is my calculus teacher and I will forgive him just for that.

“Whatever. I will tour the girl.”

“Good, now go to your seat.” I watched him walk to a seat with a pretty blonde girl already sitting on it, the girl smiled sexily to him and he winked at her before sitting down. He whispered something to her and she pouted before turning to look at me. I looked away immediately not to be caught staring, still angry at the terms our teacher used at me.

The class continued as if nothing happened and I felt a poke on my back, I turned quietly to look at Christy with a raised eyebrow. “You are damn lucky, you get to have Adrian tour you around, I mean, what kind of luck do you have?”

“I don’t even want him to tour me and I don’t have any luck,” I replied a little bit angry, what the hell does she mean by I have luck? Just because some guy is going to tour me around? I don’t even want anybody to, especially him.

“What the hell? Do you know who he is? That is Adrian Sanders…”

“Captain of the football team?” I added, after all, every boy like him in all the schools I have been to is the captain.

“Um, no, Adrian doesn't even play football.”

I raised an eyebrow, now that caught me by surprise, “then he is the captain of the basketball team.”

“Nuh uh,” she shook her head.

“So what is he the captain of?”

“None.”

“What?” I shrieked.

“Ms. Davis, you wouldn’t want to visit the detention room on your first day would you?” Mr. Peterson called to me and I turned on my seat to realize that everyone was looking at me.

I gulped and shook my head, “no sir.”

“Good,” he nodded and continued with his teaching.

I looked around once more and my eyes met with ocean blue ones, he was staring at me as if I amused him and I rolled my eyes at him in time to hear Christy muttering, “sorry.”

“It’s okay,” I replied to her, wanting to concentrate on the class.

“Let’s meet in the cafeteria during break period, we can talk more then.”

“Okay,” I answered, turning to the board but yet again, my eyes took me to the right side of the room and my eyes clashed with his again, he smiled at me and I ignored him, turning my gaze back to the board. What is he expecting, that I’m going to wave at him and smile after he had addressed me as some girl? In his dreams.

***

The class was finally over and when I looked at my calendar, my next class was English and it’s in the east block, uggh, how am I going to find it now? I packed my belongings into my bag when I heard a book slamming on my desk. I looked up to meet with the girl that was flirting with that Adrian guy all through the class period. She had really nice green eyes and it complimented her oval face, she is beautiful, no doubt but I already have a feeling that she must be the school bitch.

“And how can I help you?” I asked with all the goodness in me, trying to be as gentle as I can be.

“I promised my baby boo that I will tour you on his behalf, so get your ass up that chair.”

The weekend passed with me joggling myself with unpacking my boxes and doing my homework, not that I was able to finish unpacking my boxes but that’s okay, I will see to it later this weekend or any day I have nothing to do after school. Hopefully, I will finish them before mom and dad return, they won’t be happy with me if I haven’t done that by the time they are back.I put on a jacket and let my hair down from the ponytail I had on since last night. I ran my brush on it briefly and picked up my backpack and left the room. “Max, you ready?” I yelled, making my way to his room. I pushed open the door without bothering to knock and I regretted it immediately. I turn to the door, backing him, “what the hell! Learn how to use a towel.”“Learn how to knock, this is my room,” he replied.Well he is right, “are you decent?” I asked after a while.“For today, what’s the guarantee that you won’t do it again?”“I won’t, today will be the last day,” I turned to him and he already has his pants

And heaven just decided to punish me, “I wasn’t expecting to see you here,” he continued and I turned around. Mark my word, the biggest mistake I made was turning around to look at Adrian Sanders. His shiny white hair was covering half of his face, he was putting on a black leather jacket on top black pullover, a black jeans with a white converse, his black attire made his hair stand out as well as his eyes. I didn’t realize I was checking him out until he made a comment.“Like what you see, Pigeon?” He raised an eyebrow, a slow and sexy smile playing on the corners of his lips.I tried to ignore how handsome he looked, nuh uh, I mean how ugly he looked, “first of all, stop calling me pigeon, that’s not my name.”“But it suits you perfectly.”“And why is that?”“Because you are acting as free as a bird, you say what you want to say and you do what you want to do. I didn’t want to be calling you a bird so I chose the nicest amongst the species,” he clarified.“Unbelievable,” I shook m

“Molly, there is a girl here for you!” I heard Max screaming in my sleep and I opened my eyes. I yawned and sat up on the bed, picking up my phone that had fallen on the bed when I dozed off. I checked the time and it was six thirty. Who could be looking for me by this time?I climbed out of the bed, input my password on the phone and minimized the game before walking out of my room, “who is it Max?” I asked from the staircase.“Said her name is Christy and she is your BFF,” he yelled back.I frowned, what is Christy doing here? I’m not surprised she knows where I live since she has dropped me off twice, I just don’t know why she would come without calling me. I hurried down the stairs and saw her standing in the living room, she was dressed to kill in a mini skirt and tight black crop top. Her voluminous curls were styled in half bun, with little curls dropping on her face, she looked…what’s the word? Sexy.“Hey girl, what the hell, you are not dressed?” She screamed.I frowned, “dre

On getting home, I slammed the door after me, “Max, I’m home,” I yelled, making my way to the kitchen. I opened the kitchen and got out a bottle of orange juice, opening it, I drank from it, “Max?” I called again when I didn’t see him.I put back the cap on the bottle and returned the drink to the fridge, if my mother was around, she would have shouted at me for lacking in personal hygiene, bah, who cares. They are not around and no one else is going to finish the drink but me. “Max, get down here this minute!”“What the hell do you want?” He yelled back from the stairs and I left the kitchen to see him, he was frowning, he hates it when I shout his name and I on the other hand, loves doing what I was told not to do, I just can’t help it.“Just checking if you are home,” I replied, acting like I did the most natural thing.“You are a weirdo,” he rolled his eyes at me and turned to go back to his room.“But you still love me,” I yelled after him.“No I don’t”“Yes you do, yes you do,”

I stared at him first in shock, then I laughed, really? Did he just say that? “My genie?”“Did I say something funny?” Adrian asked and that just made me laugh more.“So, let me ask, do you often walk up to a girl and offer to be her genie?” I asked.“Actually, no. You are the first,” he answered.“Then may I ask, what gave you such an idea that I need a genie?”“I have heard a lot about you and I said to myself, this girl needs a genie to help her in her daily activities.”“And what help will you be giving to me?”“I will be granting your wishes,” he answered simply.“Is that so, what is in it for you?”“Genies don’t have requests.”“I doubt that, I can remember Aladdin’s genie wanted to be free,” I smiled. He leaned closer to me, our faces only a meter apart, “rest assured, I will never wish to be free from you, rather, I will like to get closer to you,” his ocean eyes twinkled, making his face more radiant. Damn this guy is handsome, nuh uh, scratch that, I mean damn, this guy is u

  • The Bully Who I shouldn't Love   Chapter five

It’s been five days since I started my new school and surprisingly, everything has been going well, more than I expected. Although I have earned a name for myself, nobody has come looking for my trouble. My friendship with Christy was improving and I might say we are heading over to the BFF barge, yeah, that’s if my parents don't return one day and announce that we are moving. I have had three BFF’s and three of them are no longer in contact with me because I moved so far away from them and I can’t even tell when next we would be seeing each other again.I packed my books and walked to the cafeteria. I should head to my locker and drop my books but Christy is already waiting for me and I don’t want to delay her further. Stepping into the noisy cafeteria, I sighed and searched for her. I saw her waving at me, urging me to come to her which I did. “I was beginning to wonder if you have lost your way,” she said immediately I approached her.“I’m sorry, I can’t possibly tell what delayed
