My hand gripped the phone in my hands. I took a peek at Cassie to see if she heard what Matthew asked. She wasn’t looking my way and was looking out her window instead. I wouldn’t be surprised if she heard, but I really hope she didn’t.
Turning my head away from Cassie. “That is none of your business if I am or not,” I replied to the idiot on the phone. For someone that thinks of love as a bad word, I’m surprised he even said it.
“Someone’s being defensive,” sang Matthew.
My hands gripped the phone tighter. If I squeezed it any tighter, then it would break. I know I was, but obviously, I’m not going to admit that.

I was extremely excited to come to the craft fair, once I saw the pink posted flyer at school. I usually never pay attention to the board filled with a massive number of colorful flyers in the compound at the local community college I attend, but it seemed like it would be fun to attend. Which ithasbeen so far until I made the mistake of wanting to get my portrait painted. I knew it would belong, but I didn’t realize howlongit would take.
