Tiana's POV

I had been so overwhelmed with my anger that I delved into work and didn't notice almost everyone around me had left.

My plans to help Carol with the preparations had gone down the drain as I checked the time and saw that it was five minutes to six. I quickly turned off my desktop, grabbed my bag and hurried to the parking lot.

The drive to Carol's house took about ten minutes, I took a deep breath before pushing through the door into her living room. The party was already in a full swing. Most of the people from the company were there and the living room could barely contain everyone.

My eyes scanned the room, searching for Wren since I didn't have many work friends. I easily found her by the kitchen, throwing back a drink. I made my way towards her and smiled when she noticed me.
