As I said it out loud, it felt like a huge weight got taken off my chest. It wasn’t just because Greg suggested it but the harsh reality of what happened to me last night. After I got off the phone with Fidelia, I’d gotten so worked up that I decided to join Greg for his invitation to a bar. It was nothing like the luxury I was used to, but it was cosy. Rooftop bar. Great music and cold drinks. Good vibes and conversations. Half-naked waitresses and call girls hanging around. Then I had gotten a call, stepped aside and used the opportunity to finish up my drink from a plastic bottle. Just as I dropped it, a woman had screamed from the street, cursing and giving me the finger. I wasn’t supposed to be interested in an angry lady in an oversized fur jacket, mini skirt and long socks around feet covered with platform shoes, but I was. I peered closer and realised I was staring into an impossible dream. It was FunSize. How wouldn’t I recognise her pouty lips, bulgy green eyes and those sexy curves as she swayed her hips, walking off? She only changed her hair to blonde. I had thought she was a redhead. So I did the first thing a desperate, excited fan would do and sprinted down the building. I didn't want to call her 'FunSize' out in the open or let her know I was chasing her in case she turned out to be someone else. The last thing I wanted was to get charged with sexual harassment. Fortunately, I got down before she took a dangerous bend to a poorly lighted alley, and I continued following, my eyes so fully focused on her that I lost sight of anything else. Someone bumped into me, a frail old lady trying to cross the street with a box of junk in her hand, and everything spilt over. “Look where you’re going, little boy." The old lady scolded as she bent to pick everything up. But I couldn’t just leave her there without helping. By the time I was done, I checked every corner of the street, but she was gone. No trace of her. Like she’s vanished into thin air. I had kicked the wall hard in frustration, ruffling my hair and pacing around. Fuck! Just like how she stood me up five years ago. She agreed to meet up with me, and I had reserved a table in one of the high-end restaurants in Chicago. I had a lingerie set, a silver jewellery set and a bouquet of roses as her presents. I planned on asking her to be my girlfriend because I couldn’t imagine myself with anyone but her. Minutes and hours into waiting and I realised she was never going to come. I called, texted, and even logged into my account on OnlyFans as a guest. To my dismay, she had deleted her account and blocked me everywhere. No explanations. No guilt. No remorse. Well fuck it. I had decided to move on, but I found myself getting off on her memories. I stood my dates up. Steered clear of relationships and absolutely didn't hook up with anyone. I was just satisfied with pumping myself and getting my release, living with the hope that she’d reach out one day. Weeks grew into months, months flew into years. Nothing. When I thought I had finally found her, she slipped through my fingers. It was almost like she never wanted to see me. After last night, I looked myself in the mirror and said, 'Fuck it.' I was going to move on. Stop masturbating and do the real thing. And finally, there was actually someone I wanted that wasn’t FunSize. My VA, Fidelia. She infuriated the hell out of me and turned me on as much. So why not? “Are you in or not?” I asked. Her silence over the phone was unsettling. “Ok. I’m in.” She agreed, and I froze up. Stunned was an understatement. This woman who I thought hated my guts and would gladly throw me off a moving car if someone told her to. She was saying yes just like that? “Did you hear my conditions properly?” “I did.” “What time are you wiring the advance?” She asked. “I need to know you’ll keep to the arrangement and won't back out last minute.” “I won’t.” She promised. “You know I don’t take people’s words for it, Miss Mills. I’ll have you right in front of me before I make the payment. How’s that?” “You seem to have trust issues.” She pointed out. “You talk too much, and I don’t have time for that.” I fired back, feeling the sting of getting reminded about my flaw. “What time should I be available?” She asked. “Tomorrow morning, 7.00 am, East Coast time. Meet me at the conference room." "We'd go over the proposal before the investors come around.” “Yes. I’ll be there.” She said and waited for me to hang up this time. At exactly 6:45, I was at the office, tensed up as fuck as I waited for Fidelia. I knew I was too early, but I couldn't contain my curiosity. Sleep was impossible. I had to call my grandma to distract myself from the inevitable. Touching myself. When she filled the conversation with “Madison, Harry’s daughter is single and available. She's done with her master’s and runs her family’s business at a branch in China. She’s a good fit for you. Get married to her and stop these rumours about you being gay.” When I brushed her questions aside, she asked “Are you gay?” I had to end the call by making up an excuse. At 7 sharp, I was in the conference room, my legs spread as I sat at the edge of the long, narrow desk, drumming my fingers against my thighs as I waited for her. How would she look? Would she be short or tall? Slim or fat? Tanned or pale-skinned? From her sexy, throaty voice, she struck me as a slender goddess, probably with bangs and high cheekbones. Her nose in the air and her eyes strict, as she acts like some ice queen. Whichever way she turned out, I’d fuck her into submission and make her mine. Then the door pushed open and she walked in. At first I didn’t lift my head just to hide the desperation on my face, but her scent drew me in, and I turned to look. She stopped at the door. A small smile spread across her face. “Nice to meet you, Mr Hamilton.” I stood up from my chair slowly; my chest tightened up in a strange emotion. Everything felt like I was thrust into a trance as my Funsize walked up to me.~~ FIDELIA ~~ Soft hues of light seeped through the narrow gap of the slightly ajar door. My fingers were stiff around the door knob. All the alarms in my head were going off, warning me to run. Run. Because once I got in there, the last thread of whatever I've been trying to keep together would snap and ruin everything. “Shut the door if you're not ready to come in.” He said. I took a deep breath, slowing my palpitating heartbeat. I could handle this. Whatever it was. I had done this a couple of times in the past. Living and breathing the same air as an abuser did that to someone. Made them thick skinned God, why did I think of him now of all times? Bad timing. I pushed the door open and stepped in. He was seated behind his desk, his eyes focused on his screen, an unreadable expression in them. ~~ FIDELIA ~~“What?”She must have read the shock on my face, and she gave a smug smile…“Like I said, words get around here. Fast. So watch your back.”She said before pulling back and strutting away.Heat spread across my skin, cold heat...I reached for the first two buttons of my house, popping them open as I stared blankly at my screen. Now, it was just Hannah.Very soon the whole office would be talking about it.Trust her to spread the word.Could I handle office gossip? Yes.Vincent’s distance? No.I needed to act fast.I picked up my phone and quickly dialed Evans's number.“Hello.”“Look who's calling. It's about time.” He laughed, his tone sinister.“How about we strike a deal?”“What?”“A deal. I'll give you anything you want. Just stop getting involved with Vincent or his family, especially Sylvia.”“Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?”I paused. Of course, how could I forget? He was a control freak and never compromised. Then we'll do this the other way.The ki

~~ FIDELIA ~~ I blinked my eyes open, stretching. I yawned, rolling on my back. The smell of breakfast, waffles and fresh coffee seeped into my nose. His cologne lingered in the space next to me. One he'd left behind from wrapping me in his arms all night. I smiled, feeling like today was going to be exceptionally good. While I'd love to wake up with him by my side, I knew he had an early bed and hardly slept in. Unlike me, I could sleep the whole day. “Vincent!” I called as I sat up. From the aroma emanating from the kitchen, I could tell he woke up early to make breakfast. My stomach rumbled and I smiled. Thank goodness he was such a good cook. I stepped my feet down on the bed and got into my flip-flops. Then I sauntered towards the kitchen, scanning around for him. Where the hell was he? I caught a note stuck on the fridge. I moved closer and realized they were two. I ripped them off, reading them. *Breakfast is in the microwave.* *If you need to get anything.
~~ VINCENT ~~ That would be as hard as hell. “How’s that going to help?” "A lot. But at least we'd know the source of the problem. Her health is very fragile, so take good care of her.” With that, I walked him out, and he left. The more I tried to solve that puzzle, the more other layers kept appearing. Over the weekend, we worked together. Mostly on our proposal against the annual conference. We spent quality time together, and I made sure I eased most of her burden by not complaining about her work. On a normal day, I made her rework documents to perfection. But the doctor had warned me about stressing her out. Surely I could afford to leave my ethics out the door for once so they'd both be safe. She and our baby were starting to become a greater part of my life. Just as we sat next to each other on the couch, eating chips and dipping them in sauce, a comedy playing on the TV right across from us, I pulled her in. Over the last few hours I realized she was
~~ VINCENT ~~ “What about us?” "Henry's going on some trip next week. Can you come to the house?” “For what reasons exactly.” “To see your niece. All she talks about is you. She misses you.” “I bet she misses her dad more than she'd ever miss me. I'm busy right now. We'll talk later.” I tried ending the call when she started. “I get it." “What?” “You found her again, and no one else matters. What we had—" “Was a mistake. It should never have happened. While I'm wondering why you're bringing it up out of nowhere, I need to get back to work.” “Um. Okay. I'm sorry for bringing it up at all.” “It's just when I saw you two that day. Her first day at the house. It brought flashbacks. I tried to get it out of my head, but I mean, I walked in on you guys.” “What exactly is your point, Tilda? I thought we were past this already.” She sighed… “I know, right? I thought I was too. You're slightly bigger than Henry. You know how to use it too. There's just a lot of you
