Chapter 4

Hariel manages to find his friend's house. Actually, this friend was a former friend in the ocean. This person is once a merman and now living on the surface. Hariel saw that friend on the couch watching whatever on the box thingy that they call television.

"So, did you manage to find the woman you've been looking for?" Milo asked with a smile on his face. Hariel looked at him and sighed. He went to the sink which Milo called and he opened it to drink water and poured some on his head.

"Yeah, I did! I managed to save her in time before she crash on the stone wall." Milo sat down and looked at Hariel.

"Did you use your powers?" Hariel looked at him and nodded. Milo stood up and walked towards him and hold his shoulders before shaking him. Hariel wondered why his friends always do this to him? "Why did you do that? What if someone saw you using your powers! They might think you're an Alien!"

"Calm your seahorses, Milo! You're shaking my head so bad!" Milo stopped and looked at his friend worried.

"You know that we're not supposed to use our powers in the land. If you use too much of it, you will get dry like a dried fish!" Hariel sighed and nodded. He understands what worries his friend. Milo grunted and sat on a chair near them. "so, what happened? You take soo long?" Then Milo gasped. "Don't tell me you're on the dating phase now?!"

"You're thinking way too fast, Milo. No, we're not! We went to a place where humans are wearing blue clothes. And you know I don't know how to read so I don't know where we went!" Milo thought about what Hariel was talking about when something clicked in his mind.

"You went to the police station! But why?" Hariel shrugged his shoulders.

"I just saw that Stephanie was watching those kinds of things in a small thingy like that! It was black and white!" Hariel pointed to the television. Milo understands what he's talking about.

"Well, she's really fortunate that you're there to save her in time. Imagine, you just happen to be on the same street before it happens! Ha! It's called destiny!" Milo laughs so hard that he's really having a time of his life. Hariel looks at him like he's gone mad. He's wondering if Milo can get Jellyfish disease even if he's on land.

"Oh, by the way, Milo. Where can I get a Job? So, that I can help you pay the rent and give the money back to Stephanie." Milo looked at him and crossed his arms thinking. Milo was working as a host in the club. Entertaining men and women. Depends if someone asks for him. All mermaids and merman have beauty beyond compare but Hariel is an exemption. He has a beauty like an angel. So innocent, so handsome and manly. But Milo doesn't want to recruit Hariel to that place. First, because he is a prince. Second, he will get fewer customers. Third, Hariel doesn't know about the world yet. Even if he tried to convince the young prince to come back home, he knows that this merman will dismiss it and still continue to pursue the woman. Also, Hariel's deal with Ludi is greater than his. So, he will help his friend to overcome it and don't lose his life.

"Well, before you get a job you need to learn how to read. Every job has a contract that you need to sign. Also, you need to know about the currency... frick the kelp soup! There is soo many things to teach you!" Milo massaged his temples. Hariel looked at him expecting. Milo noticed it and scratch his forehead before sighing. "Then, let me teach you everything you need to know." Hariel smiled and nodded.

"I'm all ears."

"Becky, I want to ask. Is there any entry Job available?" Stephanie asked while she was dealing with her paperwork. She's been thinking about Hariel these past few days and wanted to him pay back. Becky went to her and shook her head.

"So, far... There is none at the moment. Why? Is there something wrong?" Stephanie sighed and tap her pen on the table. It seems that this will make things harder for Hariel. She wanted at least to help her savior.

"Do you remember the guy I talked about?" Becky looked at her confused then she remembered the Stephanie was talking about.

"Was it the guy who saved you?" Stephanie nodded and looked at her.

"I met him again and he's looking for work. Also, it seems that he's new to the city or newer to everything. I felt bad." Becky walked towards her and patted her back.

"Well, I will tell you when there is an opening. Don't worry." Stephanie nodded. Becky gave her a teasing smile. "So, how did you two meet?" Stephanie stiffened and looked at Becky. Is she going to tell Becky about what happed a few days ago? It will make Becky worried so she chooses not to.

"I happen to see him in the streets. We talked and he happen to tell me that he's looking for work." Becky nodded but then her eyes squinted.

"Are you really sure that he's looking for work and not using you?" Stephanie looked at Becky. She knows that Becky is suspicious of Hariel's intention but she feels like she can really trust Hariel. Well, if they will see each other again.

"No, I am sure. Also, I don't have contact with him, it's by chance that we see each other again. I hope so. I still haven't thanked him properly." Stephanie said and sighed. She looked outside the window and saw that it was already Lunch time. She suddenly wanted to eat pasta. "Becky, are you up for pasta?"

"Actually, I've been craving it this whole week!" Stephanie smiled and stood up from her swivel chair. Get her purse and hooked her arm to Becky.

"Then, let's eat out!"
