Chapter 3

Stephanie was soo surprised when she saw that man again. Wait, she was sure that she'll crash. Her heart is still pounding. She put her hand on his chest and heave a sigh of relief. She was thanking God that nothing happened to her. Someone really wants to kill her! Then she heard another knock on the door and saw him. She went down the car and faced the man.

"You- Aren't you the one who saved me before?" Stephanie asked. The guy just smiled and nodded.

"Yeah. It was me but are you okay, pretty lady?" She blushed because of the way this guy called her. Well, she knows that she's pretty but is this guy flirting with her?

"I'm fine. And don't call me pretty lady, you're making me embarrassed. I'm Stephanie Gray," Stephanie introduced herself and raised her hand for a handshake but the guy only looked at her hand which made her confused. He doesn't want to shake hands? But then after a few seconds, the guy reach for it and looked at her with a smile. She was soo, stunned. The way the guy smile is so angelic that the impurities of the earth haven't reached him.

"My name is Hariel! Nice meeting you- Woah! I am sorry!" Stephanie was surprised when he throw her hand and run behind her. She turned and saw that he was talking to the fishes that were on the floor, out of breath. "Sorry, sorry! I'll help you go back to the water!" She found it weird because he was talking to a fish. But she understands because many people talk to their animals like dogs, cats, and other pets. Maybe he's like one of them. She blinked but before she even says anything, she saw the man throw the fish in the sewer which again shocked her. Yeah, there is water in the sewer but it's not clean!

"Hey! What are you doing to my fishes! There are for sale!" the owner exclaimed when the guy finished freeing the sea animals. The guy's name was Hariel, right? Uncommon name and She thinks that it suits this guy but anyway, the owner looked at Hariel angrily. "How can you compensate me to the fishes you freed!"

"The fishes are the creatures of the sea and they don't belong to this tight- whatever that is! they are free creatures!" Hariel said and crossed his arms. The owner got angrier at his answer.

"Whatever! I need money! Give me the money that I lose because of your action!" Hariel was startled when the owner asked for money. He looked down and fidget with his hands. It was interesting to see Hariel like this it's like a fresh breath of air.

"I don't have... money with me," Hariel said honestly. Stephanie walked to her car and take out her purse. She went to the two and paid the owner for Hariel.

"Here, since Hariel doesn't have money, I will pay for it." Hariel looked at her shocked he was about to say something but I stopped him. "It's just a small compensation compared to what you've done for me." Hariel blinked and nodded. The owner was soo shocked and pursed his lips before leaving.

"I'm sorry- that you need to do that. Don't worry, I will give you the money back. How much is it?" Stephanie smiled and shakes her head.

"No need. I don't know what happened and how I didn't crash into the wall but at least you're here, and why do I feel like you saved me again?" Stephanie said. Hariel smiled and scratch the back of his head shyly.

"Well, I don't want to see you hurt." Then they heard a siren of the police. Someone reported the accident and they asked what happened. They went to the police station to report everything that happened. First, the car that bumped her car and then the almost crashing of her car. It's fortunate that there is a CCTV camera on the part that they were. They saw what happened and they will come back to her when they found out who was the owner of the car. Stephanie and Hariel went out of the Police station at almost dawn. She saw Hariel yawn and Stephanie's heart warmed. Hariel was still with her and didn't leave her. Why does she feel like she's secure when this person was with her?

"Sorry if I drag you to my mess," Stephanie said. Hariel shook his head and waved his hands.

"It's no trouble, don't worry. I am happy just to be there for you," Hariel said with a sheepish smile. Stephanie laughs.

"Okay, if it's that what you want. Are you hungry? I'll treat you." Hariel blinked and shakes his head.

"You've done enough for me. You also paid for the fish that I freed. That is enough," Hariel said with a smile on his face. Stephanie sighed and nodded.

"Then let me drive you home," Stephanie suggested. Hariel closed his lips and looked around nervously.

"Now that you mentioned it, I think I'm lost. I don't know where I am." Stephanie looked at him confused. Is he not familiar with the place?

"Are you new to this city?" Hariel looked at her and sighed before looking down, it seems like he's shy to admit but then he nodded.

"Yes, I am new to this place. I stayed with my friend while I look for a Job," Hariel answered. Stephanie nodded and looked down. Thinking if she can offer him a Job. But she doesn't know if he was skilled enough. Maybe an opening can help him. "It's okay, you don't need to... Take me home. I will just try to contact my friend."

"Oh, you don't have a phone?" Stephanie asked. Who doesn't have a phone at this time? Hariel looked at her confused.

"What is a phone?" Stephanie's eyes widened. Is he serious? He doesn't know what a phone is? Where did this guy come from? In to the jungle?

"Well, It's a communication device that you can easily contact someone. Are you sure you don't know what phone means?" Hariel shakes his head.

"Is that the same thing as a Conch Shellphie?" Stephanie blinked and looked at her confused. What did he say? Conch Shellphie? What is that? Is that a new brand of phone? Hariel shook his head and nervously laugh. "Nevermind. Don't mind what I said. Hehe. I got to go, see you when I see you! Later!" Then Hariel runs off but the way he runs is different from other people. He was stumbling on his feet like he's not been used to walking or running for a long time. But wait! She forgot how can she help him. Without his phone number, how is she going to contact him? She looked to where Hariel run off to and just sighed. Maybe they will pass by each other one of these days. Hopefully.
