Chapter 1

Stephanie stirred in her sleep. She had a dreamless sleep. She felt heavy and aching. What happened to her? She opened her eyes but she was blinded by the light and white ceiling. Where is she?

"Steph! You're awake!" She heard her secretary's voice so she turned to her side and saw Becky, crying. She blinked a few times and sighed deeply.

"Why are you crying?" Becky cried hard more.  Becky is her secretary and her bestfriend. Maybe something happ- wait! There something happened to her! She was pushed down to the ocean while taking a break.

"You've been sleeping for three days. I got really worried!" Becky hugged her tight and sniffed. Stephanie smiled and pat her friend's back.

"Okay, okay! Don't cry!" Becky freed her from the hug and started to ask her questions. But Stephanie asked her how did they find her.

"I've been looking everywhere for you. When you said that you'll be taking a break, I went to the upper deck and didn't find you so I asked our crews to look for you discreetly but still, there is no trace of you. So, I decided to end the party and docked. Your grandparents are worried about you when I told them that you were missing." Stephanie sighed and massaged her temples. It seems that she hurt her grandparents but she didn't have any choice. She was pushed out of the ship. Becky continued her story. "Then, after we docked, I deployed our other networks to find you and they successfully find you on the shore of Maribu unconscious. We immediately took you to the hospital but you were in a coma."

"Did you tell my grandparents that you found me already?" Becky nodded. Stephanie sighed in relief and nodded. She pat's Becky's hand and smiled at her.

"Thanks for looking for me. For not giving up on me, Becky!" Becky pouted and wipe her tears.

"Of course, how could I give up on you? You're my sponsor. The person who helped me graduate from college and helped me and my family." Stephanie smiled widely. Becky was her only friend. All of the friends she had, after her money and prestige. Becky was the only one who didn't and stick to her in her ups and lows. She's a precious friend she doesn't want to lose. She was thankful for her whole being. But then, if Becky went to the upper deck where she is, then Becky maybe saw who was the one who pushed her.

"Becky, when you went to the deck, did you find anyone there?" Becky looked at her and shook her head.

"No, I didn't see anyone there." Stephanie looked down at her hands and sighed deeply. If Becky didn't see who pushed her then the person immediately hid when Becky arrive. This is complicated. How will she find the person who wants to kill her? "Is there something wrong, Steph?"

"Well, the thing is... the reason why I disappeared was that someone pushed me off the ship," Stephanie said. Becky's eyes widened.

"What? Someone tried to kill you?" Stephanie nodded. Becky was bewildered. Someone attacked her from behind. If that is so, who is the person who tried to kill Stephanie? And what is their reason to do that? But how did Stephanie manage to go to the shore? She didn't know how to swim? "Who saved you?" Stephanie looked at her confused.

"You didn't see the person who save me?" she asked. Becky shook her head.

"You were alone, and our people just saw you there." Stephanie looked outside the window and think about the person who helped her. That unforgettable face. A handsome face of a man that she never met in her entire life.

"I wanted to look for him. I haven't said thank you to him," Stephanie said and looked at Becky. Becky then understand what Stephanie meant. This means Stephanie will look for that man.

"But it will take a while." Stephanie nodded and smirked.

"Then, make haste!"

Hariel was being absentminded for the past three days. Daydreaming about the woman he saw that night. His heart started to thump hard when he thinks about him. He feels shy and happy when she thinks of her. He wanted to see her again.

"Hariel, you're being weird again," Farron said when he saw his friend smiling like an idiot. His eyebrow furrowed. Is Hariel becoming crazy because of boredom? "Hariel! Hariel!" Then Farron slapped Hariel's cheeks which made Hariel to come back his senses. He looked at his friend and glared at him.

"What was that for Farron?" he asked angrily. Farron scratched the back of his head.

"I am sorry. But you're daydreaming! You're acting weird this past few days!" Farron said and sighed. Hariel pouted and looked at the surface again then he smiled again. Farron frowned and shook his head. Maybe his friend caught a jellyfish disease! The one that made the mermaid's brain jelly and becomes an idiot. He needs to look for a mer-doctor for Hariel.

"I wanted to go to the surface again." It shocked Farron about what he said. He looked at Hariel and swam to him then shake him again.

"You sneaked out! You!-" Farron can't believe what Hariel did. "Your curiosity will kill you, Hariel!" Farron said in a panic. Hariel freed himself from Farron's hold.

"Calm your seahorses, Farron! See I am alright! Besides..." Hariel felt shy for some reason when he remembered the woman. "I see the most beautiful woman I ever see."

"HUMAN! YOU MET A HUMAN! HARIEL! YOU'VE BROKEN SO MANY RULES!" Farron exclaimed and slapped his forehead. It seems that Hariel did get the Jellyfish disease! "That's it! We're going home to Bermuda to get you treated! The Jellyfish disease will really kill you!"

"I didn't get Jellyfish disease, you idiot! My brain didn't turn into Jelly and I am not an idiot. But your suggestion is tempting. Let's go home. I need to find... A healer." Hariel smirked and swim first to leave. Farron sighed and massaged his temples.

"I hope you're going to find a normal Mer-doctor and not some... another doctor." Then Farron followed him.
