Megan's POV
"Wow! You are so beautiful, Meg," my husband said after I put on my red mermaid-cut gown with off-the-shoulders sleeves. I was looking at my reflection in the mirror while my husband was standing behind me, caressing my shoulders.
I smiled as I looked at his handsome face in the mirror.
"Thank you, Ashton, for this beautiful gown," I responded as he spun me around so I would be facing him.
"I could give you any dress, but I could tell you will always be beautiful in my eyes even if you will wear a worn-out dress, but no dress can compete with your beauty when you are naked my love," he replied, and I could feel the goosebumps all over my skin.
I was mesmerized by how he looked in his navy blue suit that complimented his compelling eyes.
It felt like I was a teenager all over again as I stared at my husband as he curled his muscular arms on my waist.
"Don't say something like that, my love; you know you can always turn me on by just saying something like that; you have to remember we need to attend this party since you told me your father was throwing this party for the three of us, right?" I asked, and I could feel the knots on my belly when he nibbled my ear.
My smile widened when he pulled me closer, and I could feel the bulge on his pants.
"I don't need to tell you how I wanted to have you right now, Megan; I wanted to take you wearing this beautiful gown," he teased while he slowly pulled the hem of my gown, and I put my head on his chest as I felt him grazed his manhood on my stomach, and I couldn't deny he was turning me on.
"Me too, my love; you are making me delirious with need, but the party is about to start; maybe later after the party, we can continue this moment," I replied, and he grunted as he showered my neck with soft kisses.
"Megan, you are driving me crazy with the need to take you, and I couldn't wait to have you naked in my arms." He seductively said.
I moaned as my husband claimed my mouth, and we shared a mind-blowing kiss while I touched his stiff manhood over his pants.
"Mom! Dad!" We both stopped when we heard our son's voice outside our room, and I could tell I was blushing after my husband released my mouth and helped me with my shoes after he told Axel to come inside his room.
My sister took Axel's suit a while ago since he wanted to change his clothes in the guest room my parents and sister occupied.
"Wow, you looked beautiful, mom," he exclaimed, and I smiled at our son.
"Thank you, Axel," I responded as I caressed his head.
"You looked dashing, too," I said as I took his hand.
"How about me?" My husband asked, and Axel laughed as he hugged his dad.
"You looked dashing, dad, and when I grew up, I wanted to be liked you, strong and handsome." Our son responded, and my husband and I looked at each other with smiles on our faces.
"Of course, you will look exactly like your dad," I responded, and Axel's smile broadened.
We fetched my parents and Ava; together, we went to the garden where the party was held. I could see guests already seated on their chairs, wearing expensive gowns and suits.
They were waving at Ashton as we passed their way, as my husband took us to our assigned seats. I could see his father and mother looking regal as ever, and his brothers looked so handsome like him.
I could feel the pang in my chest when I saw Isabelle smiling at us, and her face fell when she realized Dexter didn't come, but she tried to hide her disappointment as she stood up and met us.
She took us to our table while Ashton's dad waved his hand at my family with a beautiful smile
on his face. Ashton's mom got up as well, and she came over to our table, and she talked with my parents, and I could tell that everything was in place.
The party started, and everyone was having a good time, and Axel got so busy switching tables since he couldn't choose where to settle, and his uncles and grandparents were so happy to have him.
Alice and Zach joined us at our table, and Ashton introduced me to some of his close friends, and they all welcomed me with warmth, and most of the women said they liked my perfume and couldn't wait for the release of my new collections.
The host made the party lively and fun and was filled with laughter until she announced the arrival of the very special guests of Gregory Priztgold, no other than Claire, together with her parents.
Ashton moved his chair closer to me as he took my hand over the table, and I could tell he felt nervous. Still, I only smiled at him as I whispered sweet nothings in his ear, but I could tell he was affected by Claire's presence, not because I would get angry, but maybe he was afraid his ex-fiancee would make a scene.
I saw how much Ashton's father welcomed Claire's family, and I could even hear his laughter as he talked with Ashton's ex; moments later, he waved at my husband and motioned Ashton to come over to their table.
"You must go, my love, don't make your father wait for you," I whispered, and he looked at me, and I nodded my head at him as an indication I was okay with it, and I needed to show Claire I am not insecure with her and make her realized I am secure in Ashton's arms.
"I am sorry, my love," my husband whispered and shook my head.
"You don't need to apologize; I understand that Claire's family is close to yours," I replied and assured my husband it would be alright that he would join them at his family's table.
"Are you alright?" I heard Alice ask as I tried to contain my jealousy when I saw how Claire linked her arm with Ashton.
"That woman knew Ashton was now a married man, she belonged to the elite society, yet she acted as if she didn't care if she had hurt another person with her actions," Alice mumbled as she looked daggers at Claire.
"She should show some respect to you and your family; I don't like the way she clung to your husband." My best friend declared, and I could feel the distaste in her voice.
"Hey, you need to relax, Al; I don't feel threatened at all, I know how much Ashton hated the idea of having his ex around here, and I don't care what would be the opinions of the other guests as long as I have my husband's love and loyalty," I responded.
"If I were in your shoes, you should go there and take your husband with you; you have all the right to do it, you are Ashton's legal wife, and no one out there has the right to flirt with him, but you." My best friend added, and I shook my head.
"Hey, Alice, don't poison my mind; I am good," I said as I smiled at her, and she let out a heavy sigh while my best friend slouched her back on her seat.
I could tell the tension at our table since I saw the anger on my father's face.
"I can take you home, Megan, we don't live in a mansion, but at least in my house, you will be given the respect you deserve." My father declared as he turned his attention to me.
"Dad, Ashton has nothing to do about this, and don't worry, Claire is his friend, and I should give them time to speak with each other since I felt guilty I was the reason they broke up," I stated.
"Don't reason for them, Megan; I know Ashton loves you, but at this moment, he can't simply ignore his dad's wishes, and I knew it; Gregory planned all this to humiliate you in front of all his guests." My dad responded, I want to disagree with my father, but I could tell what he said was true.
"Let us get out of here before I can do something to the Pritzgold; you don't need to undergo this type of humiliation, Megan; you are a good person inside and out," my father added.
"As your father, I am so proud of you and what you have become, but you don't need to suffer because of love." My father stated as he pulled me up from my seat while the Pritzgolds were busy entertaining Claire's family.
"Dad, please, only this time; I can't leave Ashton, this was too much for him, and if I ran away, he might think I don't love him enough. Love endures, dad." I responded.
"Besides, I wanted to show Gregory he could never make me leave his son; now that I know everything was for a show, I felt challenged, and I am your daughter, and you know me, I will never back down," I added.
"Oh, Megan and your stupid principles," my father said.
"Of course, I already failed you once, and I made a promise to myself I will never let you down ever again." My dad responded as he sat back in his seat and looked at me, and I could tell he was proud of me.
"Thank you, dad," I mumbled.
Megan's POV"You looked so beautiful, Megan!" Alice exclaimed as she helped me with my veil."Thank you, Alice, I know you will be more beautiful than I am today on your wedding day," I responded."Ha! Don't make me laugh, Megan, you knew that is not true, you looked like a goddess while I am just an ordinary woman you can see walking on the street on an ordinary day." She responded and I shook my head."Stop that, you are beautiful, okay?" I insisted and she beamed at me before she hugged me."I am so happy for you, my best friend, so glad that the heavens favored you. You are marrying Ashton for the second time and your son is your ring bearer, and your family is complete." She declared."Yeah, I know, and I am so happy," I responded."We should get out of the car before your husband will come," Alice said and I laughed. She helped me with my gown as I got out of the bridal car, and I inhaled the fresh air, the day looked so bright and I could tell it is the best day of the year to
Megan's POV"What are you doing here?" Dexter asked right away after he opened the door of his place."Dex, aren't you happy to see us?" I asked my brother, and I could see the guilt on his face."I am busy now, Meg, Ashton, why didn't you call me?" He asked."It is something important and I hope you can spare us a little of your time," Ashton responded, and my brother sighed as he turned his back and opened the door wider so we could get inside."Have a seat," my brother said as he motioned us to sit on the sofa. His place was immaculate, and I could see that my brother was anxious like me."What do you want?" He asked as he sat in front of us."Well, I wished to invite you and be my best man since we are having our church wedding in less than a month." My husband replied, and my brother's face fell."I am sorry, but let us face it, if you will invite me, I will be bringing Monica with me. She is part of my life now, she is my fiancee, and it would be an insult on her part if I will
Megan's POV"No, that is not a good idea, Ashton," I said after I heard my husband speak about making my brother his best man for our upcoming church wedding."Why not? I want him to be present during our special day, Megan; I know it would make you happy. I knew what your heart desires, my love." He responded."Thank you for considering my feelings, Ashton, but my happiness will not matter anymore; I don't want Isabelle to be miserable on our wedding day," I responded, and he looked at me for a long time before he spoke."Megan, I don't think it will make my sister miserable; she will be happy to see your brother," he declared."Belle will be broken-hearted, Ashton, Dexter has a girlfriend now, and I hate him for turning his back on your sister." I responded with a sad expression on my face."Hey, we both know they are in love with each other, I am sure Dexter got tired of waiting, and it doesn't mean he didn't love my sister anymore." He insisted, and I raised my hands; I didn't wan
Ashton's POVMaking love with my wife would always make me feel excited and complete, and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt as I watched her sleeping peacefully in my arms after the hottest lovemaking we had ever shared. My wife turned me on like crazy, and I found it hard to stop my erection; the way she teased me blew my mind. Megan became bolder in bed, and I loved it, and I knew she only wished to please me.I was watching my wife's face with a beautiful smile on my face.I loved the feeling that I made her exhausted in bed. I knew we planned to have a night alone in the tree house, but something came up, but tomorrow night, it would be only for us, and I didn't want to stop surprising Megan.I wished to make her happy through simple things, and I knew my dad's offer was hard to decline. Marrying my wife for the second time would be the most especially gift we could give her, and I am excited since it was my father's plan.My dad and mom would be there standing beside me on
Megan's POVI know happiness was a gift from God, and after I gave Ashton's dad my forgiveness, I felt different. I didn't hate him, but I wanted to make Gregory accept me for what I am and as his son's wife.I couldn't deny there were moments in my life I wished I belonged to Ashton's world, but I realized I should be proud of who I am and what I have become."You looked so happy now, did your talk with my dad go well?" Isabelle asked when I saw her in the living room after speaking with my father-in-law."Thank God, Isabelle. Axel and I are officially part of your family," I answered with a broad grin."Of course, Megan, you were already part of our family after you gave birth to our nephew, and when you became our brother's wife, we became happier." She replied."Belle, you can't blame me for worrying because you know your father didn't accept me as your brother's wife. But right now, I was so overwhelmed with happiness that finally, your dad welcomed me as Ashton's wife." I declar
Ashton's POV"Can I have a word with you?" My dad asked me, and I nodded my head. We had been fishing for more than three hours, yet the boys were still having fun, especially my little boy.Axel had been shouting every time Lennon pulled out his fishing hook since he was the one who had been blessed to capture much fish. I was unlucky today; maybe the fishes on the lake felt the anxiousness that I felt in my heart.I was still apprehensive about my father's change of heart, and I couldn't stop myself from wondering if he was true to his words. My dad already fooled us once when he acted; he was so eager to meet and be with my wife, only to find out the truth later that he had another thing on his mind, and that was to humiliate my wife in front of everyone during the party he threw for us.He couldn't blame me if I doubted his intention at the moment. He looked so calm as he sat on the rock while I stood beside him, watching my grandpa Henry, Axel, and my brothers on the bank, waitin
