CHAPTER 11: JOLENE
Rebecca swung her legs happily back and forth as she sat on the clinic bed. She’d just received a message from William, asking how she was. His message was short, but the words warmed her heart. Oh, how she yearned to see him again! She thought of replying but held back. He was probably busy, and she didn’t want to appear too readily available.
Maybe I’ll call him later to see how he is, she thought, as the nurse prepared to jab her with a tetanus shot.
