"You're pregnant?" Kevin questioned

Evelyn, unable to hold back her emotions any longer, remained silent as tears began streaming down her cheeks. She nodded slowly, confirming Kevin's suspicion.

Knowing Alaric well, Kevin understood that he would never want a child at this point in his life. He cleared his throat, trying to find the right words, before finally asking, "Does Alaric know about this?"

Evelyn wiped away her tears with a trembling hand and shook her head, imploring Kevin, "Please don't tell him. I beg you, he will want to get rid of the child."

Sighing deeply, Kevin knew he had to do something. He reached into his pocket, grabbing his phone, and dialed a number. With a concerned tone, he spoke into the receiver, "Hey buddy, I'm sorry but there's an emergency I need to deal with. I'll catch up with you later."

After hanging up, Kevin turned his attention back to Evelyn, his face filled with an unknown emotion. "Let's have a talk," he suggested.
