Chapter 6

Her heart pounded like crazy as she stared at Leonard wondering what she could tell him she is going to do. Leonard was already blushing under her intense stare. He reached out and touched her beautiful face softly.

Leonard's fingers grazed Kaina's skin, she felt a shiver run down her spine. Her mind was racing with thoughts, but one thing was certain - she couldn't let him go without revealing her true feelings. She took a deep breath and placed her hand over his, her touch sending a spark through both of them.

"Leonard," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Yes?" he replied, his voice husky, his eyes locked on hers.

Kaina's heart skipped a beat as she searched for the right words. She couldn't just blurt out her feelings; she needed to be subtle yet honest. "I think we need to talk about us," she said finally, her voice steady.

Leonard's eyes narrowed slightly, his expression unreadable. "Us?" he repeated, his tone cautious.

Kaina nodded, her pulse racing. "Yes, us. I feel like there's something between us, something special. And I was wondering if you feel it too."

Leonard's face softened, and he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Kaina, I've been trying to figure out what's been happening between us for weeks now," he admitted, his voice low and husky. "And I have to say, I'm intrigued."

Kaina's heart soared as she read the interest in his eyes. She leaned in closer, her face inches from his. "Intrigued?" she whispered, her breath mingling with his.

Leonard's eyes locked on hers, his gaze burning with intensity. "Yes, intrigued," he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. "I think there's something special about you, Kaina. Something that draws me in and makes me want to know more."

As he spoke, Leonard's fingers intertwined with Kaina's, sending a jolt of electricity through her body. She felt like she was melting into his touch, her heart pounding in her chest.

Without another word, Leonard leaned in, his lips brushing against Kaina's in a soft, gentle kiss. Her big eyes widened in shock, it was her first kiss. It was like the world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment.

As they broke apart for air, Kaina smiled up at Leonard, her heart full of joy. "I think we're just getting started," she whispered, her eyes sparkling with promise.

Leonard grinned, his eyes shining with excitement. "I think you're right," he replied, pulling her back in for another kiss.

In that moment, Kaina knew that she had found something special with Leonard - something worth fighting for. And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, she knew that their love story was only just beginning.

As the kiss deepened, Kaina felt like she was home. She had never felt this way about anyone before, and it scared her a little. But with Leonard, she felt safe, like she could be herself without judgment. They stood there for a moment, lost in the intensity of their emotions.

As they pulled back, Leonard smiled at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I've wanted to do that for a long time," he admitted, his voice low and husky.

Kaina's cheeks flushed, but she smiled back at him. "I've wanted you to," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Leonard's eyes sparkled with amusement, and he pulled her close again. "I'm glad we are together" he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear.

Kaina shivered, feeling a tightness in her chest. She knew that this was just the beginning of something special, but she was married.

Kaina suddenly pushes him away to his surprise. "Emmmm Leo, i really need to go now, i have to go to work" she said thinking of what excuses she will give Ryan when she gets to work.

*Relax kaina, i will talk to him" he said pulling her closer but she pushed him away again.

"Kaina, don't go just yet," Leonard pleaded, his eyes locked on hers. But Kaina was already smoothing out her clothes, her mind racing with thoughts of Ryan and the office.

"Leo, I really need to go," she said firmly, trying to sound convincing. "I have a meeting in an hour, and I still need to prep." she lied.

Leonard sighed, releasing her from his grasp. "Fine, but can I see you tonight?" he asked, his eyes hopeful.

Kaina hesitated, unsure of how to balance her growing feelings for Leonard with her obligations. "I'll try," she promised, already knowing she would make time for him.

As she turned to leave, Leonard caught her hand, his fingers intertwining with hers. "Kaina, be careful around your co workers and Ryan okay?" he warned

Kaina's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Ryan's name. She knew she needed to tread carefully, but she couldn't help the way she felt about Leonard. "I'll be fine," she reassured him, squeezing his hand.

With one last glance, Kaina slipped out of the room, leaving Leonard to watch her go. As she made her way to the office, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was walking a tightrope, balancing her secret relationship with Leonard and her marital life.

When she arrived at the office, Ryan looked up from his desk, his eyes narrowing slightly. His cold stare almost made her pee on her pants but to her surprise, he didn't ask why she wasn't home.

Kaina forced a smile, trying to play it cool and natural. "good morning boss" she greeted submitting the report and fleeing.

As the day went on, Kaina found herself glancing at her phone, waiting for a message from Leonard. When it finally came, she felt a flutter in her chest. "Meet me at the park close to my house at 5?" the message read.

Kaina's heart skipped a beat as she typed out a response. "Can't wait," she wrote, her fingers trembling with excitement.

As she hit send, she couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her and Leonard. Would they be able to keep their relationship a secret, or would Ryan find out? Only time would tell.
