Jeremy's POV

It was 5 am when we finally arrived in the Royal City. It was indeed the capital of the country. The city looked very advanced, then Pearl City.

"So, where is the apartment they gave you?" Melody asked, sounding very excited.

I pulled a folded paper from my breast pocket and stared at the writing on it. All through the journey, Melody kept talking nonstop. I didn't hear half of the things she said. My mind was occupied with my own thoughts. I was surprised by the energy she had. Driving for long hours and chatting alongside. I felt exhausted but she looked like she still had some energy to spare.

"We are going to a place called Ash Estates. That is where the apartment is," I replied to her.

"Okay," Melody said. "Let me key that into the map," she added. "Do you have access to the apartment, or do we need to get that first?" she asked me while making a turn on the road per the Google map directions.

"We will visit the Estate office first," I replied, my voice cold as ice.
