Third Person's POV

Zane fought his brother like a robot, his body moving like a doll without a soul. None of the attacks rattled him, even a stab to the shoulder didn't seem to snap him out of it.

“This isn't your brother!” Lucien yelled as he drove the knife deeper but it didn't faze him. It was almost like he didn't feel any pain.

Lucien tried as much as possible to not hurt him and at thesame time support Brielle, who was going toe to toe with Ken. Her training with Zane on combat had began to pay off. Ken attacks were not targeted to kill her but to cripple her. Luckily, Lucien always had her back.

Zane was trapped in his own body, watching sometvung else control him.

“Dont hurt them,” He cried out, his voice echoing in the dark pit of his subconscious. He was trapped in there, indistinct voices speaking all at once around him.

“Let me go!”

“I far underestimated how stubborn you are,” Chase's voice rumbled within his head.

“You are a fighter, Prince Zane. But aren't you tired of fighting?”

“You let my brother and Brielle be and I will submit myself to you,” Zane muttered painfully, his fist clenched furiously as he watched himself hurt Lucien.

Ashe grabbed Brielle by the neck and smashed her head into a wall. Brielle instantly became disoriented, the room turned red as blood gushed into her eyes.

“Brielle!” Lucien that was pinned down by Zane growled. He threw Zane off with his elbow and attacked Ashe. He pulled the knife from his hand and drive it into his chest.

Ashe erupted into laughter, enjoying the thrill of the fight. There was a knife in his chest but all he felt was the pumping sensation of adrenaline.

“That’s why you would lose,” Ashe held on to Lucien, locking him in place from moving.

“Your emotions cloud your strategies,”

Lucien eyes widened when his instincts alerted him. He could see Zane charging towards him with a dagger but he couldn't move, Ashe had him pinned.

He shut his eyes and with a deep breath, accepted the fate.

“No!” Brielle's growl, followed by her bravery spooked all of them. She shielded Lucien , taking the dagger into her shoulder.

For a moment, even Ashe felt something. His grip around Lucien weakened as he watched her crumble to the ground. Lucien couldn't believe his eyes, it felt like a dream, a nightmare perhaps.

He felt the loosed grip and swiftly took advantage of it. He grabbed Ashe's arms and snapped them like a twig. Before he could react, Lucien pulled out the knife from his chest and stabbed him again with it.

“Rest, Ken,” Lucien muttered as he drove the knife deeper into his heart.

“You have suffered enough,”

Ashe fell beside Brielle and with his last breath, he reached out to her. He brushed her skin slowly and a smile crept on his face.

“Thank you,” he exhaled as tears gathered in his eyes.

Lucien turned his focus to Zane that had fell to his knees. His look was void, blank like an empty vessel.

“You made me hurt her,” Zane said from the darkness he was trapped in.

“Why are you doing this, Chase? You have everything, what else do you want?”

“Noone steals from me!” Chase voice echoed loudly, causing a vibration that had Zane grunting with his hands across his ears.

“You and your brother stole what was mine. Enjoyed what I owned, fucked what belonged to me,”

“Brielle belongs to noone,” Zane stated. His ears were bleeding and he could feel himself getting weaker, losing his grip.

“Then you would watch as she and your brother die by your hands,” Chase’s voice said.

Zane had begun to lose hope, his hands were numb in there, he couldn't move. At this point, the darkness was consuming him.

“Brother,” Lucien called out to him. Zane watched from the darkness as his brother grabbed his hand. He sat beside Brielle's unconscious body and with a smile, he patted him gently.

“Don't let them ruin your peace, you still have control. You can still fight, I'm here,”

“Are you going to listen to that?” Chase asked, his voice vibrating through the darkness.

“I own you,you are mine. You can try to sleep through it but you will always belong to me,”

“For a man that claims to be the most powerful in the world, you do hide alot,” Zane retorted. The darkness begun to take form and soon, it took a shape. The shape of a little girl.

“You are not Chase,”

“Well, I do what my father demands,” The darkness spoke. It was Suzie's voice.

“Do I know you, little girl?” Zane felt a tingling sensation under his foot. He was getting control of his body. The cold feeling was getting warmer.

“Tell your father that I am not his toy,”

“Father wants you to finish the job,” Suzie replied.

“I am to oversee you till the job is d…”

She paused and tilted her head to the right. It was like she was staring at someone that wasn't even there.

“I feel insulted. I don't even have your full attention,” Zane spoke with a cold chilly tone. He took another look at the image of Brielle that laid close to his body and the anger took over.

“How did you break in?” Suzie asked the question to someone that Zane couldn't see.

He wasn't going to sit around and watch her crazy show, he took the chance and transformed. He wasn't sure if it would work but he tried regardless. His wolf took shape and his anger fueled it.

Zane was about to attack Suzie when a light beamed through the cocoon of darkness he was trapped in. The light was in the form of a door and a man stepped in.

“I don't like little witches,” He said and Suzie’s form vanished in face of the light.

“You!” Zane transformed back.

“How the hell are you here?”

“Well she came to attack me,” Rio responded as he took a look around.

“Unfortunately for her, I wasn't in the best of moods and I despise mind workers,”

“So she's captured?” Zane asked with a sighbof relief.

“Yes, the kid bitch is bleeding out on my rug. They have to bring you to me if you want to severe whatever link you have with her,”

“How long do I have before she could take control again?” Zane asked with urgency.

Rio hesitated to respond but he knew it was the only path to getting the answers he was craving at the time.

“I will try my first at to hold her off but you have twelve hours and bring Brielle with you,”

“Hell no!” Zane snapped as he grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.

“I should kill you for what you did. You didn't just hurt her, you broke her, you took her child. You __”

“_ are naked,” Rio pointed out.

“And right now your subconscious balls in rubbing against mine. So please step back?”

“You think I'm joking?” Zane grabbed him firmer.

“Right now, I'm the only thing keeping the bitch from regaining control. Do you really want my hands of the steering wheel?”

Zane thought about it, he was at his limit. If Suzie regained control, he might hurt his brother or kill Brielle.

“I'm not bringing Brielle to you,” He declared.

“I'm not going to let her face you after what you did. My brother won't even allow it,”

“Your brother won't have a choice if it was Brielle's decision,” Rio responded as he pulled Zane’s hand off his collar.

“And will Brielle want to see you?” Zane asked just before Rio stepped back into the light.

Rio paused by the exit, hesitating to respond.

“You better answer me, or else you just let the bitch take over,” Zane added with a stern look.

“Tell her it's family business,” He answered him.

“Tell her we need to discuss about our mother,”

Epilogue Third Person's POV “How are you holding up?” Rio asked Brielle after the council of Alpha that was held in the Eclipse pack. Brielle decided not to attend the meeting because it felt like torture to be around people at the time. “Fine, everyday, a new process and new method of looking forward,” She responded with a smile. Rio's face was covered in slash scars that were still healing. “It's been weeks but I can still feel the tension,” he confessed as he laid his back against a post. “Crescent pack has begun a democratic form of leadership that will be overseen by Eclipse and the Blue Moon. As from now on, they will elect their own leaders,” “You know soon, this method will spread across other packs,” I pointed out. “Looking forward to it,” he replied with a grin. “It surely beats being born into a responsibility you didn't ask for,” “True,” Brielle reacted. “Everything is going fine, I'm free but yet I don't feel free,” He walked to her side and exhaled heavily. “

Brielle's POV“You think anger adds to strength, it doesn't,” Chase's wolf said. I was spooked when I heard it speak, it wasn't possible for a wolf to speak but I knew Chase wasn't a normal alpha like the rest. He had his paws in Lucien, crushing him to the floor. Rio and Zane were holding the rest of the alphas back and Angelina stood by the corner. She was the first one to notice me. “Why are you doing this?” I asked him. They were all shocked to see me on my feet. I held the dagger I had pulled out of my back and a sudden relief came over me. “Impossible,” Chase remarked. “You won't just die,” “No!” Angelina roared. Lucien transformed back and hurried to me. His body was scarred with claw marks and slashes. “How? Where? What's going on?” He was surprised to see me. His hands couldn't let go of mine as tears escaped his eyes. “I'm sorry, I should have protected you,” “I'm here now and we have a job to finish,” I said to him as I wiped his tears. “It's strange seeing you cry

Third Person's POV Everything felt cold, her mind sunk into the darkness and gradually got pulled into a strange void. An occurrence that caused her to gasp suddenly and jolt awake. Brielle woke up in a room, on a bed. She looked around in confusion and fright and realized it was her old room, the one back home in Crescent. She had almost forgotten how it was. “How?” She asked herself, looking around again curiously. She tried flashing back to what she remembered last but it felt blank to her. She remembered being stabbed by a lady called Angelina but it felt like a dream to her. “Sweetheart,” someone pushed open the room's door. She cowered backwards when he stepped in. It was like seeing a ghost and he was a ghost. “Brielle, are you okay? You seem frightened, honey? Is it the nightmares again?” “Dad,” she exhaled heavily, her heart thumping against her chest as she drew closer to her father. “How…how is this possible?” “How is what?” Her dad asked with a perplexed look. “I

Lucien's POV “You fight like a little boy,” Chase remarked as he crushed my windpipe with his boot. I was only able to take down two alphas before they brought me down. I could hear Rio grunting from a distance as he fought against the alpha from the north. The man fought like a beast, moved like a predator stalking its prey. He took Rio by surprise, faster than his size. “I never liked you, Lucien. I told your sister that you are nothing to me and she tried to make your existence somewhat meaningful,” He spoke with pride in his voice as he applied more force on the boot that was against my throat. “Y…you are going to die for that,” I wheezed. The air in my lungs slowly went out but I knew I had to keep fighting, I had to keep Brielle safe, I had to keep my brother safe. It was my responsibility. “I would love to s__” That was the point of his sentence that I heard. My eyes became instantly filled with a buzzing sound that disoriented my entire system. My hands shivered tremendo

Brielle's POV“Where are they?” I asked her. She stood still and slowly, the darkness around began to clear up. It was sucked into a vortex above. That was when I realized that I was in a room with chains and weapons around. “Brielle,* Zane called out behind me. I ran into his arms as he stood by the edge of the room with the Priestess. “How did you get in here?” The priestess asked. “She heard the voices,” Suzie responded as she gently changed into a new pair of shoes. “She could hear the voices of the damned. Maybe because she is part of the damned,” “What is she talking about?” I was curious to know. The look on the priestess face made it scarier to want to know. “Only few people are allowed to hear the other side, listen to what they say, the story they have to say. We call them Whisperers,” The priestess explained as she took a seat next to the fireplace. Her old raggy clothes couldn't hide the fear she felt. “Do you want to tell her?” Suzie referred to the Priestess. “D

Lucien's POV.“I need them here as soon as possible,” I said to the squad leader on the phone. “And General, stay safe,” “Brielle! Damn it!” Rio's voice caught my attention. It was coming from.the dining chambers. I hurried in to meet his hand on her, she was looking almost lifeless. “Rio!” I growled and pulled him away from her. “What the fuck did you do to her?” I held her hand and it was cold as ice. She was mumbling words that I couldn't understand, saying them on repeat as she was glued to the spot she stood. I couldn't move her, it was like moving an unmovable pillar. “She's sucked into wherever they are,” Rio replied as he examined her beside me. “I saw her got called by it. She was drawn to it, they wanted her in there,” “Who is they? You keep saying they, I didn't even know who THEY are,” I retorted. I was falling deeper into the confusion with each glance. I had no idea what to do because both my brother and the priestess that could help were both trapped in wherever
