Brielle’s POV

I stood by the window, my heart heavy with sorrow. The height below blurred through my tears as I looked down, eager to jump but afraid.

Everything I had known, everything I had hoped for, was gone. My home, my father, even the child I had dreamed of was dead. There was nothing left for me, I felt.

Seeing Lucien burst into the room shocked me, but it was the anger in his eyes that truly surprised me.

I stood there frozen, my heart beating fast and my thoughts racing. I saw his furious stare pierce through me.

I was so lost in my sorrow that when his voice cut through the silence, I was shocked and almost tripped.

“Brielle, what are you doing? Get down from there!” he yelled, his voice echoing in the room.

I didn’t respond. What could I say to him? He wouldn’t even understand. There was no way he would possibly understand the depth of my loss and my pain. If he even cared.

I turned back and stared out the window, feeling the air on my face. Lucien’s presence behind me was a harsh reminder of everything I had lost, and I wasn’t ready to stop now.

There was nothing he could say to make this better. Nothing anyone could say at this point.

“Brielle!” Lucien yelled again. “Did you hear me? Get down from there, don’t even think about it!”

I turned to face him again. “You don’t understand, Lucien.” I whispered, more to myself than to him. “I’ve lost everything. My home, my father… even the child I hoped for. There’s nothing left for me.”

His response came filled with an anger that cut through the pain of my sorrow. “Well, if that’s what you want, then go ahead and jump!” he said surprisingly.

I turned to look at him, my breath catching in my throat. His words hit me like a slap on my face. I had expected anger, maybe even pity, from him, but not this.

How could he say that? Didn’t he care? Or was he as broken as I was? Regardless, the cold, heartless rage in his eyes was a reflection of my own emptiness inside me.

Before I could say or do anything else, Lucien turned and stormed out of the room, leaving me standing there, stunned.

For a moment, I couldn’t move. I just stood there frozen. His harsh words sounded in my mind, over and over again. “If that’s what you want, go ahead and jump.”

I stared out the window again, the ground far below seeming to call out to me. What was left? I asked myself.

The answer was nothing. Nothing but pain and loss. Closing my eyes, I let the tears fall freely. I thought about my father, my home, the child I would never hold.

The pain was unbearable, a weight that crushed my spirit. Lucien’s words had struck me deep, but they also urged me further, providing a strange clarity.

Maybe he was right. Maybe this was the only way to end the pain. I thought.

I took a deep breath, feeling the cool air fill my lungs. The ground below seemed so distant, and somehow, I was willing to meet with it, ending everything.

The with one last, trembling breath and a final desperate thought of release, I stepped off the edge, letting go.

The sensation of falling felt both terrifying and thrilling. The wind rushed past me as I descended. Time seemed to slow, and for a millisecond, I felt a strange sense of peace.

I was free, free from the pain, the loss, the unbearable weight of everything that had happened.

Suddenly, with my eyes still closed, I felt someone grip my hand. The sensation was startling, pulling me back from the euphoria.

My eyes flew open, and there was Lucien, his face a mask of cold frown as he held on to me and pulled me back up. My heart pounded in my chest as I looked down, both fear and relief mixing together within me.

Once I was safely back inside, I collapsed onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. The weight of my despair crashed over me again, but this time, there was something else. Anger. Anger directed at Lucien.

He stared at me, his eyes hard and piercing. “What the hell were you thinking?” he demanded, his voice low and pissed. “You think this is the way out? The easy way out? This is the coward’s way!” he screamed.

His words stung, cutting through my grief, and I felt my anger rise. “You don’t understand,” I cried, my voice shaking. “You don’t know what it’s like to lose everything!”

He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. “I know more than you think,” he said harshly. “But giving up like this? It’s pathetic, Brielle!”

My anger flared within me, fueled by his harsh words. “You have no right to judge me,” I shouted, getting to my feet. “You don’t know what I’ve been through!”

“And you think jumping out a window will solve anything?” he replied, his voice echoing through the room. “You’re stronger than this, Brielle. Or at least, I thought you were.”

His words pierced deep, sparking a fire inside me. “You don’t know me!” I yelled, shoving him in the chest. “You don’t know anything about me!”

He stumbled back, shock appearing in his eyes. But then his expression hardened, and he stepped forward, closing the distance between us. “I know enough,” he said, his voice now low. “I know you’re better than this.”

The tension between us was electric, anger and frustration stirring in the air. I pushed him again, harder this time. “You don’t get to tell me what I am!” I screamed, my voice raw with emotion.

His reaction was quick. He grabbed my wrists, his grip firm but not painful. “Stop acting like a victim,” he growled. “Fight back. Show me that fire.”

I struggled against him, my anger boiling over. “Let me go!”

“Make me,” he challenged, his eyes locked on mine.

The emotions inside me erupted, and I twisted free, shoving him with all my strength. But instead of backing down, he pushed back, and suddenly, we were locked in a fierce struggle. It was chaotic, a clash of anger and pain.

Then, something shifted. The fight became something else, a raw and desperate need for each other. We crashed into each other, lips meeting in a passionate kiss.

His hands roamed over my body, and I responded with equal eagerness, our anger transforming into a different kind of passion.

Quickly, we tumbled onto the bed, becoming a tangle of our bodies colliding and heated up.

Lucien’s kisses continue to advance further down until it hit the jackpot.

He buried his face between my thighs and his tongue quickly met with the tight folds of my clit.

I let out a moan, and the sound of his own moans felt good to my ears as hid tongue gently flicked my clit.

I reveled in the satisfying pleasured sounds he made that now become music to my ears.

He pulled off his jeans completely and his shirt as well, now we are both fully naked.

Then he mounted himself on top of me, but then I notice that my nervousness was back. He then quickly placed a kiss on my lips, “I’m going to be gentle” he assured and I nodded.

He guided his dick into my entrance and I pushed my waist up gently. He went slow and gradually until he had most of his length in me.

I let out a moan as he fit himself into me. He increased his pace to just as I wanted it and the new wave of pleasure that streamed in me felt so amazing.

He let out a breathy groan and he continued to pump into me. I then loosened up for him, and he felt more at ease going in and out of me, faster this time until we both exploded at the peaks of our pleasure.

Epilogue Third Person's POV “How are you holding up?” Rio asked Brielle after the council of Alpha that was held in the Eclipse pack. Brielle decided not to attend the meeting because it felt like torture to be around people at the time. “Fine, everyday, a new process and new method of looking forward,” She responded with a smile. Rio's face was covered in slash scars that were still healing. “It's been weeks but I can still feel the tension,” he confessed as he laid his back against a post. “Crescent pack has begun a democratic form of leadership that will be overseen by Eclipse and the Blue Moon. As from now on, they will elect their own leaders,” “You know soon, this method will spread across other packs,” I pointed out. “Looking forward to it,” he replied with a grin. “It surely beats being born into a responsibility you didn't ask for,” “True,” Brielle reacted. “Everything is going fine, I'm free but yet I don't feel free,” He walked to her side and exhaled heavily. “

Brielle's POV“You think anger adds to strength, it doesn't,” Chase's wolf said. I was spooked when I heard it speak, it wasn't possible for a wolf to speak but I knew Chase wasn't a normal alpha like the rest. He had his paws in Lucien, crushing him to the floor. Rio and Zane were holding the rest of the alphas back and Angelina stood by the corner. She was the first one to notice me. “Why are you doing this?” I asked him. They were all shocked to see me on my feet. I held the dagger I had pulled out of my back and a sudden relief came over me. “Impossible,” Chase remarked. “You won't just die,” “No!” Angelina roared. Lucien transformed back and hurried to me. His body was scarred with claw marks and slashes. “How? Where? What's going on?” He was surprised to see me. His hands couldn't let go of mine as tears escaped his eyes. “I'm sorry, I should have protected you,” “I'm here now and we have a job to finish,” I said to him as I wiped his tears. “It's strange seeing you cry

Third Person's POV Everything felt cold, her mind sunk into the darkness and gradually got pulled into a strange void. An occurrence that caused her to gasp suddenly and jolt awake. Brielle woke up in a room, on a bed. She looked around in confusion and fright and realized it was her old room, the one back home in Crescent. She had almost forgotten how it was. “How?” She asked herself, looking around again curiously. She tried flashing back to what she remembered last but it felt blank to her. She remembered being stabbed by a lady called Angelina but it felt like a dream to her. “Sweetheart,” someone pushed open the room's door. She cowered backwards when he stepped in. It was like seeing a ghost and he was a ghost. “Brielle, are you okay? You seem frightened, honey? Is it the nightmares again?” “Dad,” she exhaled heavily, her heart thumping against her chest as she drew closer to her father. “How…how is this possible?” “How is what?” Her dad asked with a perplexed look. “I

Lucien's POV “You fight like a little boy,” Chase remarked as he crushed my windpipe with his boot. I was only able to take down two alphas before they brought me down. I could hear Rio grunting from a distance as he fought against the alpha from the north. The man fought like a beast, moved like a predator stalking its prey. He took Rio by surprise, faster than his size. “I never liked you, Lucien. I told your sister that you are nothing to me and she tried to make your existence somewhat meaningful,” He spoke with pride in his voice as he applied more force on the boot that was against my throat. “Y…you are going to die for that,” I wheezed. The air in my lungs slowly went out but I knew I had to keep fighting, I had to keep Brielle safe, I had to keep my brother safe. It was my responsibility. “I would love to s__” That was the point of his sentence that I heard. My eyes became instantly filled with a buzzing sound that disoriented my entire system. My hands shivered tremendo

Brielle's POV“Where are they?” I asked her. She stood still and slowly, the darkness around began to clear up. It was sucked into a vortex above. That was when I realized that I was in a room with chains and weapons around. “Brielle,* Zane called out behind me. I ran into his arms as he stood by the edge of the room with the Priestess. “How did you get in here?” The priestess asked. “She heard the voices,” Suzie responded as she gently changed into a new pair of shoes. “She could hear the voices of the damned. Maybe because she is part of the damned,” “What is she talking about?” I was curious to know. The look on the priestess face made it scarier to want to know. “Only few people are allowed to hear the other side, listen to what they say, the story they have to say. We call them Whisperers,” The priestess explained as she took a seat next to the fireplace. Her old raggy clothes couldn't hide the fear she felt. “Do you want to tell her?” Suzie referred to the Priestess. “D

Lucien's POV.“I need them here as soon as possible,” I said to the squad leader on the phone. “And General, stay safe,” “Brielle! Damn it!” Rio's voice caught my attention. It was coming from.the dining chambers. I hurried in to meet his hand on her, she was looking almost lifeless. “Rio!” I growled and pulled him away from her. “What the fuck did you do to her?” I held her hand and it was cold as ice. She was mumbling words that I couldn't understand, saying them on repeat as she was glued to the spot she stood. I couldn't move her, it was like moving an unmovable pillar. “She's sucked into wherever they are,” Rio replied as he examined her beside me. “I saw her got called by it. She was drawn to it, they wanted her in there,” “Who is they? You keep saying they, I didn't even know who THEY are,” I retorted. I was falling deeper into the confusion with each glance. I had no idea what to do because both my brother and the priestess that could help were both trapped in wherever
