Brielle's POV
“You think anger adds to strength, it doesn't,” Chase's wolf said. I was spooked when I heard it speak, it wasn't possible for a wolf to speak but I knew Chase wasn't a normal alpha like the rest. He had his paws in Lucien, crushing him to the floor. Rio and Zane were holding the rest of the alphas back and Angelina stood by the corner. She was the first one to notice me. “Why are you doing this?” I asked him. They were all shocked to see me on my feet. I held the dagger I had pulled out of my back and a sudden relief came over me. “Impossible,” Chase remarked. “You won't just die,” “No!” Angelina roared. Lucien transformed back and hurried to me. His body was scarred with claw marks and slashes. “How? Where? What's going on?” He was surprised to see me. His hands couldn't let go of mine as tears escaped his eyes. “I'm sorry, I should have protected you,” “I'm here now and we have a job to finish,” I said to him as I wiped his tears. “It's strange seeing you cry,” “Let's end this,” he grunted with a fierce look. “I will handle Angelina. She and I have a score to settle,” I locked gazes with her. I could tell that she was scared but it was time for her to pay. She and Trivia looked so similar, it was devastating to imagine killing someone that shared such a resemblance with. “I'm taking Chase,” Lucien stared at the huge monster before us. “Can you?” “I can,” he answered swiftly. “I will meet you when it's done,” He added before he transformed back. His wolf roared at Chase who reciprocated with a thunderous growl. Just like that, the fight began. “I will kill you better this time,” Angelina declared as she came at me. I watched with a smile and a plan in mind. Just before she got to me, I slashed my palm and placed it on her forehead. Our subconscious both got sucked into her mind. “Where am I?” She asked as she looked around in distraught. “You witch!” She attempted to touch me but her hands were bound by a chain I had constructed in that realm. “I believe you know the story of the whisperers. The funny thing is that even in the mind of their prey, they have dominance. Unlike Suzie, I can make what I want in here,” I said to her as I looked around the room we appeared in. “Where are we?” “Our cabin,” She answered with a fierce look. “Why did you bring me here?” “It's still your mind, so you brought us here. Probably this is where you feel safe to store your conscience,” I replied. I looked around and found what I was looking for. “There you are,” “What's that?” She asked, fear gripping her mind as I picked the picture from the wall. I didn't respond, I was quietly listening to the voices coming from the image. The voices got louder as I concentrated and finally I was able to pick out a voice from it. “Let me talk to her,” The voice said. “Well Angelina, you have a visitor,” “What?” She reacted in suspense. I placed the image back on the wall and a door was created at that spot. I watched as someone stepped in from the door. Angelina melted to the floor as the lady walked to my side. “Hello sister,” Trivia greeted with a blank expression. “You look alive,” “Triv,” Angelina cowered backwards in fear. “How are you? This witch is behind all these, she's poisoning everyone around. Chase, Lucien and now even you,” “What are you saying, Ange?” Trivia expressed with pity. “It's enough. You are the poison and you have to be stopped. We are sorry for not stopping you long ago, we are sorry for letting you continue all these,” “She had been killing people ?” I asked curiously. Trivia sighed heavily and gently tucked her hair to the back of head as I went closer to hear what she had to say. “We were twelve,” she began. “My dad and I went fishing while Angelina was supposed to be cleaning up with my mum. We came back to see her arguing with my mother over who left the lid on the cereal box open,” “It was a mistake,” Angelina rambled to herself. She began to move like an eccentric being, trying to yank the chain that held her legs to the floor. “Enough Trivia!” “During the argument, she picked up a knife and slit out mother's throat,” “It was sad fucking mistake! The bitch was in my face, yelling and spitting and I had to get her to shut the fuck up!” She snapped, her eyes turning red. I could feel the difference in the atmosphere, it became suddenly eerie. “A mistake is a stab. You didn't just slit her throat, you kept stabbing her heart even after she was dead!” Trivia blurted back in anger. “That moment pushed Dad into depression. He couldn't do anything because you were his daughter, his favorite and you killed his mate,” “That's me,” Angelina said, yanking the chain gently. “I'm the evil one. I gave you all a villain to hate, someone to point finger at,” “Are you that gone? Are you seriously using that as a back off strategy?” I asked her. “Your sister is right there and she is dead. You killed her and orchestrated and killed every member of your friend group,” “I did that for Lucien,” she muttered swiftly. “All I have been doing is keeping Lucien safe, I love him, I want him.” “You killed me for Lucien? Is that what you believe or it's what you want to believe?” Trivia inquired. “I did it for the pack,” She began mumbling to herself. “I did it, I love him and he loves me too,” “You do? Maybe but you killed me for yourself. That's all in you, your selfish interest, your own selfish agenda. That's why you do it,” Trivia said with a calm tone. “For that, you have to be stopped,” “Are you going to kill me?” Angelina asked with a fierce look. “Come on sister, give me your best shot,” “I'm going to be in here with you,” Trivia answered as she gave me a look. I knew what it meant and with a smile I nodded back at her. I pulled myself out of the subconscious realm and woke up in the real world. Chase and Lucien were still going toe to toe, destroying everything in their oath. Zane had transformed and with Rio taking down the rest of the alphas. “Goodbye Angelina,” I muttered softly. I held her down to the table where the Priestess body was laid and slowly drove the blade into her heart. She exhaled deeply as life slowly her body. I walked away from her, fulfilled that all the lives she had taken would finally get their rest. “You wench!” Chase's voice grunted behind me. I reacted swiftly but too late, his hand gripped me just before I could move out of the way. “You think you can have your way with me,” Behind him was Lucien who crawled on the ground with a broken hand. “You will die permanently,” he muttered as he squeezed his hand around my neck. I attempted to touch his forehead but he stopped me before I could, snapping my hand like a twig in an instant. “Chase!” Zane roared behind me. He tackled him into letting go of me. The two men wrestled, exchanging blows. Chase tried reaching me again but this time with a knife he picked up from the floor. “No!” Zane pulled him back. With a loud growl, he grabbed Zane and pressed his head against a chair. “I'm getting sick of you,” Chase snarled and without hesitation, he stabbed Zane’s chest twice. “Zane!” I roared as Chase kicked his body to me. “No, no,” I crawled to the ground towards him. My hands shivered as I reached out to him. Listening to him choke on his own blood made me burst into tears. “Please don't go. Anyone listening to me, don't let him die. You didn't let me, don't let him. Please!” “Listen,” Zane sputtered with blood oozing out of his mouth. “You are the love of my life. Always will be,” “Don't speak please, don't! Hold on,” I cried. He looked away from me, trembling in my arms. Knowing that he was terrified made it even more painful. “So that's what the old shag was talking about,” He muttered just before the light left his eyes. “Zane!” I shook him but he wasn't responding. His body laid lifeless on me and his hands were fast getting cold. I could smell the silver that was reeking out of the wound. Lucien walked up to me quietly, the cold look on his face made him expressionless. He knelt opposite me and closed his brother's eyes. “Should I give you both time to mourn?” Chase asked with a soft laugh. “You killed my sister,” Lucien stood to his feet. His heart beat was louder than the voice in my head. “And now you murder my brother,” “Your family are like ants, trying to show supe__” Lucien didn't give him the chance to finish his sentence before colliding his fist with his face. The blow was followed by a furious roar that caused all the Alphas around to stand their ground in fear. The roar was an Alpha roar but it affected even the other alphas around. They stopped fighting and stood to watch. “What a punch?” Chase chuckled. He tried getting up but was met with another punch. “The hell,” he reacted when he noticed that his jaw was broken. Lucien climbed over him and kept on releasing those massive hits. The punches echoed all over the mansion, vibrating and cracking through the floor beneath. “If you kill me, you will never be Alpha Supreme,” Chase sputtered with his disorganized mouth setting. “To hell with your title ,” Lucien pulled the knife from Chase's hand and gently cleaned Zane’s blood on his shirt. “You don't deserve my brother's blood in your system,” He wiped it clean before he ran the blade through Chase's throat. He went on over and over until his head was off. “Lucien,” I called out to him as he knelt over the body, covered in his blood. The alphas around dropped to their knees immediately, bowing in respect. “Get up! You useless oafs!” Lucien thundered furiously. “We are alphas, equals, no one is above us. We protect our people as the apex not by following an eccentric leadership,” “Let's go,” I helped him up. His fingers were broken and so was his hand and leg. “Let's take him home,”Epilogue Third Person's POV “How are you holding up?” Rio asked Brielle after the council of Alpha that was held in the Eclipse pack. Brielle decided not to attend the meeting because it felt like torture to be around people at the time. “Fine, everyday, a new process and new method of looking forward,” She responded with a smile. Rio's face was covered in slash scars that were still healing. “It's been weeks but I can still feel the tension,” he confessed as he laid his back against a post. “Crescent pack has begun a democratic form of leadership that will be overseen by Eclipse and the Blue Moon. As from now on, they will elect their own leaders,” “You know soon, this method will spread across other packs,” I pointed out. “Looking forward to it,” he replied with a grin. “It surely beats being born into a responsibility you didn't ask for,” “True,” Brielle reacted. “Everything is going fine, I'm free but yet I don't feel free,” He walked to her side and exhaled heavily. “

Third Person's POV Everything felt cold, her mind sunk into the darkness and gradually got pulled into a strange void. An occurrence that caused her to gasp suddenly and jolt awake. Brielle woke up in a room, on a bed. She looked around in confusion and fright and realized it was her old room, the one back home in Crescent. She had almost forgotten how it was. “How?” She asked herself, looking around again curiously. She tried flashing back to what she remembered last but it felt blank to her. She remembered being stabbed by a lady called Angelina but it felt like a dream to her. “Sweetheart,” someone pushed open the room's door. She cowered backwards when he stepped in. It was like seeing a ghost and he was a ghost. “Brielle, are you okay? You seem frightened, honey? Is it the nightmares again?” “Dad,” she exhaled heavily, her heart thumping against her chest as she drew closer to her father. “How…how is this possible?” “How is what?” Her dad asked with a perplexed look. “I
Lucien's POV “You fight like a little boy,” Chase remarked as he crushed my windpipe with his boot. I was only able to take down two alphas before they brought me down. I could hear Rio grunting from a distance as he fought against the alpha from the north. The man fought like a beast, moved like a predator stalking its prey. He took Rio by surprise, faster than his size. “I never liked you, Lucien. I told your sister that you are nothing to me and she tried to make your existence somewhat meaningful,” He spoke with pride in his voice as he applied more force on the boot that was against my throat. “Y…you are going to die for that,” I wheezed. The air in my lungs slowly went out but I knew I had to keep fighting, I had to keep Brielle safe, I had to keep my brother safe. It was my responsibility. “I would love to s__” That was the point of his sentence that I heard. My eyes became instantly filled with a buzzing sound that disoriented my entire system. My hands shivered tremendo
Brielle's POV“Where are they?” I asked her. She stood still and slowly, the darkness around began to clear up. It was sucked into a vortex above. That was when I realized that I was in a room with chains and weapons around. “Brielle,* Zane called out behind me. I ran into his arms as he stood by the edge of the room with the Priestess. “How did you get in here?” The priestess asked. “She heard the voices,” Suzie responded as she gently changed into a new pair of shoes. “She could hear the voices of the damned. Maybe because she is part of the damned,” “What is she talking about?” I was curious to know. The look on the priestess face made it scarier to want to know. “Only few people are allowed to hear the other side, listen to what they say, the story they have to say. We call them Whisperers,” The priestess explained as she took a seat next to the fireplace. Her old raggy clothes couldn't hide the fear she felt. “Do you want to tell her?” Suzie referred to the Priestess. “D
Lucien's POV.“I need them here as soon as possible,” I said to the squad leader on the phone. “And General, stay safe,” “Brielle! Damn it!” Rio's voice caught my attention. It was coming from.the dining chambers. I hurried in to meet his hand on her, she was looking almost lifeless. “Rio!” I growled and pulled him away from her. “What the fuck did you do to her?” I held her hand and it was cold as ice. She was mumbling words that I couldn't understand, saying them on repeat as she was glued to the spot she stood. I couldn't move her, it was like moving an unmovable pillar. “She's sucked into wherever they are,” Rio replied as he examined her beside me. “I saw her got called by it. She was drawn to it, they wanted her in there,” “Who is they? You keep saying they, I didn't even know who THEY are,” I retorted. I was falling deeper into the confusion with each glance. I had no idea what to do because both my brother and the priestess that could help were both trapped in wherever
