Chapter 3

Clouds again surrounded the moon. The cold coincides with the influx of water from the falls.

“Young Master, where are you going?”

That’s the question that dominates a large mansion surrounded by towering trees. The sounds of small insects can be heard at the back of the palace.

And from the inside, aside from the gold objects glistening after being hit by a light from the chandelier, a burly young man in his 27s was dressed up and ready to go out of the home.

When the young man heard the butler's question, he scratched his head. The new alpha of region 2, Daniel, forced a smile.

At the age of 27, he was named the new alpha in region 2. He was chosen because of his speed and agility. From his beautiful curvy body to his killer smile, surely will really attract women.

“I don't even know, old man,” he replied. “Do you know any women who can be introduced to the elders? The other day, they were pressuring me. If they weren't just adults, maybe I've done something wrong.”

The butler took the cellphone out of his black pants. He remembered some girls he had seen before in a meeting.

“There is, Young Master. The Flores have daughters. Their home is in the far part of the region.”

Daniel nodded at the butler's answer. But in his mind, there was not a single woman in their region he wanted to be a mate. Unbeknownst to the butler, Daniel had been wandering secretly for a week and had reached the far end of the region. He didn't like Flores's daughters because they weren't his type.

“Do you have another option?” he wondered. “I've seen the ones you were referring to the other day.”

Daniel seemed to be standing iron as he leaned against one of the large bases of the mansion.

“In the other region, Young Master.”

Daniel immediately raised his hand to stop the butler. “I don't want to, old man. I feel it would be better not to take from the other region. The women there are very brat and hard-headed.”

The serious butler suppresses his own laugh. Daniel does not tell a lie. Those girls were beautiful, but he saw and noticed their rude behavior.

“If you don't want to, why don't you just accept the first child of the leader of the elders?”

Daniel finally laughed at what the butler said. He tapped it on the shoulder. “You know, old man. Even if I were removed from my position, I wouldn't marry that woman.”

Hard as a wall, like an iron decision that he tried to imprint in his mind.

He let go of the butler and turned away. He raised his hand. “I'm leaving, old man! You're the one to tell mama I'm taking off.”

“B -but, Young Master!”

He could not continue to say because Daniel had left. He was just shaken because no matter what else he did, he couldn't stop Daniel from doing what he wanted to do.

Daniel immediately felt a cool breeze when he left the mansion. Apart from the moonlight, he could see no other light.

The howls of forest animals caught his attention. And a smirk etched on his lips at the thought of a naughty thing.

He crossed the dark and dense forest. The sharp needle -like ends of the leaves he could feel touching his clothes.

He knew they forbid it to go to the other side, but he could think of no other way. Maybe there he will find a woman he can introduce as a Luna to the elders.

His feet were paralyzed when he reached a quiet, dark road. He scratched his own head because he almost forgot that he's a werewolf.

“Stupid, why I didn't I even remember that I can shift to my wolf?”

On the dark road, you could see the gold lining of his clothes. He was elegantly dressed as if he were a prince in a fairy tale story.

Daniel did not know what to do. Only here did his mischievous mind bring him. Wanting to find a Luna, he went to the land of humans. But it was midnight. He knew it was night, but this was the only time he had to go around.

And after a few minutes of walking, he could see from the stand the lights of the houses and the buildings. It's like a town, a town full of humans.

Nothing has changed, just like his own city.

He walked down the road and as he walked, he saw some people who were currently on their way home.

There are those who are attracted to him. His charisma is undeniable, though. Every dress worn screams luxury.

And when he approached to ask the two girls, they stopped in shock. Their chests quickened, throbbing as if they had seen a famous actor.

In their minds, they fully imagined that Daniel would attend a parade of Disney princes.

“May I ask the two of you a question?” Daniel scratched his head and smiled.

He did it simply, but the two girls almost lost the strength to stand.

“Oh -yes,” one stammered before biting her own lip to stop the shiver.

“Where can I see a lot of people now?”

The suspicion of the two women seemed right in their minds. It looks like he will attend a parade in the center of town.

The woman raised a trembling hand and pointed to the road where the parade was taking place.

“J -just follow that road,” replied another woman. “Y -you'll see groups of people there.”

Daniel smiled for a long time, causing him to see his white teeth and slightly lose his narrow eyes.

“Thank you very much,” he said and started walking.

When he passed the two girls, they were stunned, and they couldn't stop from taking out the cellphone and taking a picture of Daniel.

As Daniel was walking along the road, a woman running and pass in front of him. Fortunately, he was not hit by her.

He would have ignored it, but he heard a shout from the woman's path on his right.

“Hey, come back here!” shouted of a man who is wearing a woman's clothes.

In back of him, included several men in black and an old man holding his cheek.

“Chase that woman!” shout of the old man.

And when they were about to run, Daniel got in the way.

They stopped and immediately shouted at Daniel.

“What do you think you're doing?” lofty question of the men. “Why are you blocking our way, dimwit?”

Daniel forced a smile and scratched his head. “I'll just ask you, brothers,” he replied. “Do you have a watch? What time is it?”

The men did not like what he said. “Are you kidding us?”

Daniel shook his head. “No, ah. I'm just going to ask because I forgot to bring a watch.”

Annoyed, the man pulled out his gun.

Daniel raised his hand. He knew in himself that they would not hit him, but he could not change form because he was in the place of the people.

And when the man fired the gun, Daniel managed to avoid, causing the men to widening their eyes.

“H -how…”

Daniel laughed softly. “Come on, brothers,” he said. “Answer me, what time it is.”

But he could do nothing but change his form when they fired at him, continuously. The parade was still far from where they were standing, but gunshots were heard from there.

When the men saw an enormous wolf in front of them, they could not help but retreat.

Its gray feathers gleam brightly with the moonlight.

And that was obvious to Amira, who hadn't continued running and was now peering into the distance.

"S -shit, no… this can't ...” she whispered before she finally ran away from that scenario.
