Chapter 36
Showering and getting dressed in plain black shorts and a crop top coupled with a black jacket, I stood before my floor length mirror in my room as I observed my appearance in the outfit.
I woke up this morning, more like just standing up from the position I was in after not managing to get a wink of sleep the whole night. All I did was think and think about everything and nothing in particular before finally lifting up the bed by around 7:45am.
It's a Thursday today and it doesn't even seem promising. Most days now doesn't seem promising if I'm being honest with myself.
I took a slow and long shower after doing nothing for an hour, the cold and chilled water, giving me goosebumps and shivers the moment I stepped under the hard spray, I didn't even bother to cover my cornrows with a shower cap this morning, all I wanted to feel was the water all over my body.

I ended up not changing out of the clothes I was dressed in before he the call, I only ditched my extremely short crop top for a slightly and non fitted black crop top and switching my black jacket to a black jeans jacket.I wasn't joking when I said I was going all black today.Strutting out of my room with my black bag containing my phone, power back and a charging cord, a bottle of perfume, and money, I strapped the bag over my shoulder as I made my way down the stairs.It wasn't a surprise that the cook wasn't around, I couldn't find her anywhere in the kitchen when I filled my mouth with cool water from the kitchen tap before spitting it back into the empty sink.
