AESPIA POV

My hands were shaking as I held the cup in my hands, I walked slowly to her room with the cup in my hands.

I was woken up this morning with a slap on my back, when I opened my eyes, I saw the maids around me.

" What do you want again?" I frowned.

I looked at all of them, they were the same set of maids, they were always together and they came into the room together as well.

" You should get up, it's morning, you do not have to be lazy" one of them said, the one who speaks all the time.

Me? Lazy?

I was far from being lazy, I was hardworking, I have always been. I would work until my hands hurt me and my toes cracked.

" What do you want?" I asked again.

" You should not be so sad, follow me," she said.

I did not argue with her, I followed her to the kitchen. We got there and she asked me to brew coffee for Cara.

" Why should I? Can't you do it? Or maybe she can do it herself" I rolled my eyes.

They were stepping on my toes and crossing their boundaries. They were getting me upset and I do not know how long I was going to take this.

" That is your job for now,you get to do this every morning when you wake up. She wants it done by you and you should not complain, see it as a privilege" she said.

It had me shaking my head. I never asked for such a lame privilege, there were other things to be happy about, and it was definitely not brewing coffee for Cara.

I would gladly do it for the Alpha King but not for that demon.

The coffee was ready, I was already upset, so I had to hold it too well so it did not slip off my hands.

Reaching the door, my two hands were occupied.

" Will you open the door, don't stand there monitoring me" I said to the maid that has been following me and watching me the whole time.

Maybe she was scared I was going to poison the tea, even though I wanted to, she would never find out or catch me doing it.

I got into the bedroom and was shocked at how large it was. It was not the bedroom I was used to, it was different and it felt like Luna's bedroom.

" You can stop looking, drop that on the table" I heard her voice, it brought me back to reality.

I located the table and dropped it there.

I watched as she came to it, raised the cup and took a sip. She spat it out of her mouth.

" What's this?" She raised it to my face.

" I made the best coffee for you, do not act like it didn't taste good" I said.

" You can now talk back? How dare you use that tone on me?"

" What about the tone you are using on me?" I fired back at her.

I was upset that she was in this kind of room while I was kept in a mouse hole for a room.

" Interesting, I see" she took another sip from the coffee, this time around, she swallowed it.

I could swear that it tasted good but she was never going to admit that I did something good. She would rather die than admit it.

" You can leave" she waved her hands at me, dismissing me.

But I was not ready to leave that room, I was not ready to walk away after she just said my coffee was bad.

" Why are you still standing there? Get going already"

" You said my coffee was bad,but there you are, taking a sip of it, enjoying it yet you said it was bad"

" Who do you think you are? It is bad, this is me just managing this, you should do something better by tomorrow" she said.

I inhaled and exhaled. She was really something.

I left her room and went back to the Alpha's room.

Cara was in her room having coffee and it will be the perfect time to go see the Alpha.

I raised my hand and knocked on the door. I stood there, with the hope that he opens soon before one of those angry Maids of Cara sees me and goes to tell her.

The door opened and I got in as fast as I could.

Alpha Xyren looked outside, then stared at me strangely.

" Is someone after you?" He asked.

" No, I just did not want to keep you hanging by the door after you opened it" I lied.

He nodded his head, not pushing further, I was too embarrassed, I knew he sensed I had lied.

My eyes went around the room, it was massive and had so many lovely things. It made me wonder what kind of a hole I was given as a room, it was like the maids room.

" Do you want to say something?" He asked me.

He was paying no attention to me as he spoke, his back was turned against me. I bit my lips as he was fully clothed.

" You... You mentioned something about welcoming me, aren't you going to do that?" I said.

" A ceremony huh? I needed to let the pack know that I got a new Luna" he said.

It was cold, it sounded like he always gets new Luna and it was time to show them that he got a new one this time.

I remembered how much he had paid for me, it made me feel like a collection that he had purchased and wanted to show his people what he had gotten.

" Okay" was the only word that left my mouth.

The door opened and it was Cara.

I raised my eyebrows at her, she never bothered to knock.

" I knew you were going to wander to this place, you came here after what you did" she shone her eyes at me.

I moved back in fear and ended up falling on the bed.
