AESPIA POV

I rushed to the door, to go meet up with him but was stopped right at the door.

" Get back inside" she pushed me inside the room.

Cara's eyes showed so much displeasure.

" Why?" I frowned.

" You should change, look at what you are wearing, do you really think that this is some low Pack, or what do you see the Alpha as?" She glared at me.

My legs were slow, they walked to where my bags were and I picked a nice dress to wear.

I changed my outfit and looked so good for him. I stood in front of the mirror and checked myself out.

" Enough, we should not keep him waiting," she said.

I was about to leave the room when she stopped me.

" You have to smile, and never breathe a word about this to him" she said.

I knew what that warning was, it turned my excitement down, I thought I was going to seize this opportunity to say some things to him and let him know how I am being treated.

I guess that day will never come, I have just been warned never to say a word about it to anyone or to ever mention it to him.

I followed behind her, my legs were heavy, my heart was heavy as well. I got to where he was and stood there, looking at him.

His presence was filled with so much authority. My eyes went to how his body was built and how good he looked.

" How have you been?" I heard his voice.

It still held so much charm, and made me shiver. I wondered how one person could have all of these and still appear so cold. He was not all that sweet. I could sense it from the way he looks at me.

He was trying so hard to appear like he cared about me but I think he failed at doing that.

" I am good," I muttered.

I could not say anything because of the way Cara was looking at me, she had her eyes all over me and it was hard for me to spill anything.

" Are you sure?" He took a step closer to me.

My heart began to beat so fast, I wanted to run, to be away from him. My palms were sweaty again, my eyes were getting weak.

" I am" I said, more like in a cracked voice.

He turned and faced Cara.

" Thank you" he said and walked away.

Confusion was written all over me, why did he have to thank her? Was he thanking her for not abusing me? Was he being thankful as a result of me saying I was fine?

" You should remain a good girl if you want to continue staying here and if you do not want to be dead" she said, walking away after she hit my shoulders with hers.

He actually thanked her because he thinks she is treating me nicely, littles does he know that I am being badly treated.

My legs were weak, I was in a bad place, a dangerous place and I could not do anything about it.

I could not tell anyone, there was no escape for me as well, there was nowhere to run out of this place to.

I walked to a corner and just stayed there, having a feeling that my life was over and there was nothing left for me, misery and pain was all that was left behind for me.

" Why do you look lost? Is anything the problem?" I heard the sexiest voice ever, I turned and it was the Alpha King.

He sounds so angelic and it fills my body with melodies.

" I'm sorry" I bowed my head.

He scoffed, a bit annoyed.

" Why are you feeling sorry? Is there something I am missing? Did you do something wrong?"

" No, why did you ask?"

" I was wondering why you appeared like that earlier, if there is something going on, you can let me know about it,do not stay quiet" he said.

I thought about what Cara told me. He was not always around and I was going to be left in the mercy of Cara. There was no need to say anything about it.

" I am fine, everything is okay" I nodded my head.

He moved closer to me and had his finger on my face, he lifted my face up.

" I have not welcomed you in a proper way, how about we do that?" He asked me.

" What are you talking about?"

" A dinner, for just the two of us. How about that?" He said.

I shook my head. I did not think I deserved that.

" I am not interested" I was about leaving when he grabbed my hands and pulled me back.

My back was placed against the wall. His eyes were all over me,I could swear that they were all over my body as well.

His lips looked good and for some seconds, I felt like devouring them.

" Whenever I am talking to you, do not walk out on me, you have to stay back and listen to me" he said.

I froze, I thought he was going to say something sweet to my ears.

He released me and walked away. I stood there watching him leave until I could no longer see him.

I felt weak,betrayed and used. Why did he become so cold towards me like that? I thought he was being so sweet to me but I was wrong,there was no need to be so comfortable in a place like this.

I walked out of there and bumped into Cara.

She has been there all along, listening to our conversation.

" I am glad he put you in your place,you should know where you belong" she sighed and walked off.

My heart began to get so tight, and it made it difficult for me to breathe fine. I was lost and scared as well.

The Alpha King becomes nice to me when he wants to but makes me feel a bit off sometimes.
