3. Elf King Invitation

NADLYN

The morning had come quickly, although I felt I could only sleep well after the strange incident last night had made me wonder about myself. I couldn't figure out who was talking to me, but I had a feeling it was a wolf. It was possible that he was transforming into a werewolf, so he didn't show me his form for fear that I would scream and run away.

After a few minutes the voice stopped, I came to my senses and quickly left the park. Going inside was my choice, but I couldn't sleep, so I sat up and drained my mind with a question I couldn't answer myself.

"Nadlyn, wake up! We have to leave soon because the ship is ready to sail," said Rachel, who was in my room, and she was the one who woke me.

I gave a small nod. "I'm sorry Lady Rachel, I couldn't sleep last night so you had to wake me up," I said wistfully.

Lady Rachel laughed softly, shaking her head weakly. "Never mind, you better hurry up and get ready. Then bring the things you've prepared. I'll wait for you outside." With that, she left my room while I followed her orders. I couldn't waste any more time so as not to be late and disappoint her.

After fifteen minutes I had showered and put on the clothes I would wear on the trip, not forgetting to cover half of my damaged face. I didn't want anyone to see me and make fun of me, even though I was used to it. When Lady Rachel said she would wait for me outside, she probably meant in King William's chambers, as she must have wanted to say goodbye to her father and mother.

My guess was right, I found them all gathered there. There was even King Damian waiting for Lady Rachel to finish talking to King William and Queen Risa.

"Nadlyn, you've finally arrived." I smiled broadly at King William's exclamation, he waved his hand and told me to come closer.

"I apologise Your Majesty, I overslept." I said, bowing my head respectfully.

"No problem, maybe you feel heavy leaving this palace, huh?" He asked me, sensing my reluctance to leave. "I told Damian to take care of you too, you will be safe as you are my son's servant. I'll leave Rachel to you, you're the one who always understands what Rachel wants. I hope you feel at home there, take good care of yourself and your health.

"Thank you, Your Honour. I will carry out my duties as I have here, thank you for your care and concern for me." I looked down again. I think I should leave before I cry, because I feel like I'm losing my father too. Although King William is not my real father, I love him very much because he is the one who made me feel safe here. He saved my life.

"Rachel, you're doing well, aren't you? Don't forget to come here now and then when you accompany King Damian on his sail." The Queen hugged her daughter once more before Rachel stepped down from the King's throne. Then I bowed politely to the Queen too, even though she didn't speak much to me, but I knew she was very kind and had taught me a lot about how to mix with the Wolf people. She was also the one who originally told me about Rachel when I first came here.

Kings and queens only sit on their thrones when they are receiving important guests. For the wolves, this place is like a meeting room in the palace that can accommodate many people. Unlike the king and queen of the human kingdom, who could sit there for hours and feel at home, the wolves had their hands full for the good of the country.

Time to go, I walked behind Rachel and King Damian. Side by side with the Prime Minister

King Damian's Prime Minister, Joshua. Some of the wolf packs were saying goodbye to Rachel, happy that she had become Queen Luna of Drakela.

When I saw the werewolf ship, it was huge. It was just like King William's ship that I had travelled on when he took me away from the evil prince.

"Since you are the servant of our Queen Luna, your room is here, not far from Queen Luna's place. And this is my Luna from The Pack Moon Silver, Alesya will assist you on the ship. You can ask her for your needs as well as Queen Luna's". Beta Joshua explained to me and escorted me to my room after we let King Damian and his moon go to their own room.

I replied happily, shaking Alesya's hand and giving her a friendly smile. "Organise your things on the ship first. It will take us a few more days to get to Drakela." Alesya told me, then I nodded and entered the room.

DAMIAN

"I have something to tell you," I said to Rachel who was currently putting her clothes in the same closet as me. I would also be sharing the bed with her since we were a married couple.

"What's wrong Aplhaku?" Rachel looked back after everything was done before closing her door and walking over to me who was sitting on the side of the bed.

"Actually..."

"Damian! Can I open the door for a second?" the exclamation ruined my words, I sighed in annoyance before turning to stare at the door and shouting back at Joshua.

"Just open it!"

Then, Joshua immediately entered. He looked at both of us for a moment before opening his voice. "Sorry, interrupting your activities." Joshua said it with a slight grin, but both Rachel and I just looked at him flatly, we didn't reply to his words. "Well, I came here because I wanted to tell you something," Joshua said again while looking at me seriously.

"Tell me, quickly!"

"You have received a message from the Elf King." Surprised to hear this, I rose quickly from my sitting position. I met Joshua's gaze sharply.

"How come? Where is the letter?"

"Alesya, I don't know either. It's in my study."

Then I let out a long sigh and looked at Rachel for a moment before kissing her forehead. "I'm going to leave for a while, you might as well relax in your room and wait for me to come back, because I haven't finished telling you something yet."

Rachel nodded in understanding, smiling broadly. "All right, I'll wait here, my Aplhaku."

As I followed Joshua's footsteps away, I accidentally saw the maid. She was carrying some fresh meat to the deck with Keenan. Ah, apparently the two of them are already familiar, as they are both humans on this ship.

"This was sent by the male dove, the elf king said. So you better read it right away," Alesya said as she pushed a letter towards me.

I opened the letter quickly, read it at a glance and didn't understand why the Elf King suddenly wanted me to come to his kingdom in Nirdewa Land as a guest. Then I looked at Joshua and Alesya and decided. They already knew without me having to say it.

"So we accept the invitation?" Alesya asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Of course, order Keenan to take the wyvern to Nirdewa," I said as a final decision before going back to Rachel.
