Chapter 8: A Mother's Love

"Christian? Can you hear me? Where are you?" I cried out, ignoring the possibility that someone might hear my screaming.

My wolf regretted leaving Christian in his awful condition all by himself in the abandoned house when a lot of things could have happened to him.

The worst part of what I did was that I did not even think or feel worried about him while digging for some information on what was happening in the city from those werewolf hunters.

Instead, I waited for them to fall asleep before checking out on Christian. And it took my wolf another sunrise to get past them. Now that I could not find him anymore, my preference to live disappeared in the blink of an eye.
