"What are you doing here and how did you find me?" Jade asked Tristan.
Her arms were folded across her chest as she stared at him, her face demanding an answer from him.
"After creating so much chaos, of course you should expect me to look for you. Mind talking privately?" His brows rose up slightly in a questioning manner.
"I do not want to speak to you and I'd advise you to leave now before it's too late," she warned.
Amelia noticed the tension in the room and decided to leave the both of them.
"I will be leaving now. Take care aunt Jade and be nice," she said to her aunt before leaving the room for them.
Tristan exhaled deeply before walking towards one of the couches and taking a seat. "This feels nice."
He sat down on the couch and crossed his legs with his arms spread out making Jade frown at him.&
"Are you insane? Why did you go and speak to her? Does she look like someone who would give a statement after all she said to you?" Simon exasperated. "Okay fine. Did you get her to agree?" Simon questioned. "Not at all. She said she didn't tell any lies and all she said was the truth and so she wasn't going to make a statement," Tristan said. Simon took a deep breath. He put both his hands in his pants pocket. "So we are going to sue her. That's it. We will sue her because this is defamation of character and also..." The door suddenly banged open, getting the attention of Tristan and Simon. "Mr Abel," Simon said in surprise. Mr Abel is one of the biggest investors of the company and also a huge fan of Tristan. "What brings you here sir?" Tristan asked. Me Abel walked closer to them with his walking stick firm
Arhooooo! The sound of a wolf got the attention of Lancelot and Tristan that they had to face the direction they had heard the sound coming from. The wolf cried again and this time, they both began to run towards that direction to see what was happening to the wolf as from the way the wolf growled, it was as if it was in danger. Following their instinct, they ran towards the direction they heard the sound coming from. Finally they reached and saw police men gathered round and in the middle was an injured man. They both gasped as they hid behind the bushes so as not to be caught. "Who would have thought that werewolves are real," one of the policeman said as he pointed his gun towards the injured man. "I thought they only existed in the movies. This is great, I cannot wait to know more," the other man said as the
"You are saying Jade and her family left?" Tristan asked in surprise as he couldn't believe it. "Exactly what you heard. Mr Abel had not only tarnished Jade's name but she also lost her job and her brother's family had to leave where they reside as there were a lot of people coming for her. Mr Abel did take care of it indeed. That would serve as a lesson to many who try to lie against you," Simon expatiates. Tristan felt bad about the situation. He had not expected things to end up this way and for some reason it didn't sit well with him. "You aren't happy?" Simon asked rhetorically. "Didn't Mr Abel go by car? I mean..." Simon cuts him off. "Did you do what she accused you of? I mean I know it's ridiculous to believe it but you having pity on someone who didn't care if your name was tarnished is something I do not understand,
While Jade stared at Tristan with dislike and disdain, Tristan stared at her trying to know if she was the one to break his curse or create more troubles for him. He felt drawn to her eyes and they kept glowing and he wondered if Jade knew about it or not. He had so many questions to ask the moon goddess but he was a bit skeptical as she had told him to not call for her until he was done with his mission. "It's not over Tristan Stone. This is not the end," he spat out before turning on her heels to leave. Tristan stood on that same spot for some seconds, thinking deeply. He suddenly felt his head ache for thinking too much. Later that day, Tristan met up with Lydia. He had gone home earlier so as to change and meet Lydia. Just the thought of meeting her made his heart beat faster than normal and he knew he was very excited to see her. They did meet yester
"Are you sure you want to walk all the way back home?" Tristan asked for the umpteenth time and Lydia nodded her head. "Goodness. You are a crazy woman," he laughed. She told him she wanted to spend time with him and didn't want to leave him yet and so she suggested they walk back to her place as it wasn't that far from where they ate. She felt that way, they would talk more and still be by each other's side. Lydia halted. She stood in front of him, "You don't like it?" "Like what?" Tristan asked. "That I am weird, stupid?" She snarked. Tristan shook his head, showing off his pearly white teeth. "Not at all. I like that. To be honest, I didn't want to part ways with you just yet and I'm glad you suggested this. We can talk more and hold hands more." He en
Tristan spent the whole night drinking. He couldn't close his eyes and fell asleep. Whenever he closed his eyes, he opened them back as he couldn't seem to fall asleep no matter what. "You know what. I give up," Tristan snorted. "I don't even know what to do or how to feel any more. I came here to break my curse..." He trailed off as he took another sip of alcohol from the bottle. His eyes were red already and it was due to the fact he couldn't cry no matter how he wanted and he couldn't express how he felt. "My life back in the werewolf world isn't that much different from here you know. I mean there is a difference but now, considering all that is happening and the state I am in, it isn't. I would fall in love with the one who would break my curse and return back to my world and Tristan Stone would take back his body and then what happened next?
"Are you okay?" Simon whispered to Tristan. Simon noticed how zoned out Tristan was in the meeting room. He could tell his friend wasn't paying attention to anything the woman at the front was talking about. Tristan snapped out of his thought. "What did you say?" Simon shook his head. "You seem lost, is something bothering you?" He asked again. "Yeah. Yes," he replied, pinching the bridge of his nose. The meeting ended and everyone left the room after coming to a conclusion. It was now Simon and Tristan in the room. "Want to talk about it?" Simon pulled his chair closer to Tristan. "Talk about what? There is nothing to talk about," Tristan replied. Simon raised his brows up, using his facial expression to tell Tristan that he doesn't believe what he wa
"What just happened?" Tristan asked his driver as soon the car came to a forceful halt. The driver exhaled deeply. "I'm sorry sir. I almost hit someone. I will up down and rectify the situation," he told Tristan but before he could, the person he almost hit with the car came tapping on the mirror of the car. The driver wound down the car window so he could speak to the lady. "Are you stupid or something? Are you? Don't you know how to drive and don't you watch where you are going?" Jade said harshly to the driver. "I am really sorry ma. I..." Jade interjected when her eyes landed on Tristan who was seated at the back seat while typing on his phone. "Did he pay you?" She cuts him off rudely as she glared at Tristan. The skin between the drivers face creased in confusion. "Excuse you?...I..." Jade interje
