Chapter 23

Someone opened the door right away.

It was a wolf from their pack.

‘’ How’s the condition-‘’ August interrupted.

‘’ We are managing. You can leave now.’’

‘’ But-‘’.

‘’ Leave! Do what I say right now.’’ August’s yelling created a shrill down the wolf's spine.

‘’ Alright,’’ it left the room right away, closing the door behind with a sound.

‘’ Now,’’ he turned to Rain who was shuddering in fear because of the way he shouted in front of her just now.

Anyone would be frightened by his yelling.

‘’ Get out of my sight. I’ll see what else can we do about him.’’

He pushed her aside right away.

She fell to the ground.

Her right leg was hurt. Still, she tried to get up.

August started pacing up and down around Odin.

‘’ He’s in a trance state. A nightmare or something is haunting him, not letting him be conscious,’’ her murmuring made him turn to her.

‘’ What’s haunting him?’’
