The Arrival
Joy was watching Mister intently as he accepted his congratulations and all of his happy greetings. He knew it, but he acted like he straight did not give a damn. He was hoping to intimidate her and keep her quiet, at least for the moment. He finally took a moment to look back at Joy. He smiled at her sweetly and said, "I hope you approve of this marriage. I want nothing more than to be your son in law and to make you and your daughter as happy as you ever wanted to be."
Joy smiled back just as sweetly and she opened her mouth to burn him, but the band once again, was alerting everyone that an important carriage was arriving. The horns blew and the drums beat harder than they ever had before. Everyone crisply snapped to attention and moved to each side of the carriage stop. It was as if whoever was coming next was to be completely respected and received in a very specific kind of way.

She was not at all prepared to have this conversation with her mother at the moment and she really didn't think that anyone else knew about it. Joy stepped forward to save face for her daughter. She took Della in her arms and said, "Baby, whatever it is, I love you. I will never leave you again. Please believe me." Della and Joy both started crying. Mister went back the castle and he walked in to a total disaster. It was just a disgusting mess. There was unfinished party decorations and dead sprites everywhere. He went back to his rooms and called Zeek's phone but he got no answer. "Shit!" Mister shouted as he threw the phone on his bed and went to change his clothes. He came back to the phone and tried again. This time the phone was answered but it seemed to be accidental because he could hear Hallie laughing in the background and saying, "let his punk ass figure it out for himself this time." Then Zeek laughed, too, and then the sounds of them passionately touching and kissing each other could be heard until someone rolled over on the phone and muffled the sounds. "Thank God, get in here," Cat told her as she grabbed Deena by the wrist and pulled her inside, shutting the door behind her. "What is your deal girl?" Mister and Zeek were toe to toe and nose to nose. Zeek had never been more angry at Mister in all of the years that he had been with him. He just couldn't believe the audacity of this guy to actually track him down and interrupt his personal time in such a disrespectful and childish way. Everyone at Georgio's compound was enjoying a beautiful breakfast together. They all ate and drank while they laughed and talked. Della sat very close to Deena and Cat. She smiled and interacted some, but Joy could tell that her daughter was still not quite herself. She was still so distant and she looked so sad. Her face was smiling, but her eyes just were not. She was also not eating very well and her face was really flushed. Joy started to suspect that her daughter had something to hide. Pearl and Justin were hiding under the hay wagon behind the stables. They thought that they were completely alone, and that was exactly the way they wanted it. Justin had snatched a silk tablecloth and loaded a quick basket of goodies and a bottle of champagne while the two queens were having words at the gala. He figured that if everyone was running away anyhow, that nobody would miss them, so he loaded his bounty up and grabbed Pearl by the wrist. He didn't even give her a chance to ask any questions. Luckily she trusted him and she went along for the adventure. They ran together hand and hand, giggling like a couple of school kids. They came to the stables and looked for the best possible spot and wound up there, under the wagon. They spread their cloth out and got comfortable with their alchohol. Justin could hear the struggle outside of the cave and he was so scared. He thought he heard some dogs fighting as well but he wasn't about to go and see. Pearl told him to stay there and that's what he was gonna do. It didn't take very long for the noise to die down and it got completely silent. It wasn't too long before dawn, so Justin sat and watched the sun come up over the treetops before he decided to go look for Pearl. He stuck his head out of the cave opening and he squinted his hung over eyes to try to survey the landscape and decide on which way to go. He crawled out of the cave into the sunlight and stretched his body as hard as he could. He tried to focus his eyes but it took a few seconds to get it done. He yelled Pearl's name and then listened for sound. Nothing. He started making his way towards the back of the stables to check under the hay wagon. It seemed probable enough.
