Marcus' POV

My mate was sound asleep curled up in my arms. I could get use to this every night. She was so perfect, so beautiful, and strong.

I have never been so proud to have someone in my life before. I know our relationship is new and I could feel her fighting back against it, but I am determined to win her over.

When Dustin had driven away leaving her stranded with me internally, I had been screaming with joy celebrating my victory. My wolf had wanted to claim her right then.

I was not sure what her relationship was with him, but neither my wolf nor my vampire side liked it at all. Being hybrid made me stronger, faster, and more powerful; but it also made me more possessive, and animalistic.
