Seraphina's POV

“She has killed my baby! The witch has killed my baby!”

That was my stepmom screaming on the floor. And me? I just stood there, too stunned to speak.

With such acting skills, she could probably make it big in Hollywood.

Seconds ago, Lyra; my father's Luna had called me into her room, and while I had expected nothing good, I didn't imagine she would straight up accuse me of murder.

When my father; Alpha Garrick, rushed into the room the next second, I knew at that very moment— my life was over.

“Lyra! Are you alright?” He rushed to her. “What happened?” He asked, fear in his eyes.

“The baby, Garrick. I cannot feel him anymore, your unborn heir is dead and it was all her doing. She pushed me and I fell on my stomach, now the baby is gone.” Fake tears poured down her eyes as she pointed at me.

My jaws dropped in shock. What?

My father turned to face me immediately, anger burning in his yellow eyes. “You Half-breed bastard!” He got up immediately.

“She is lying, father!” I try to defend myself.

But voicing out only earned me a resounding slap. I stumbled backwards and fell on my butt, my eardrum ruptured with vibrations.

I was yet to recover from the shock when multiple kicks to my stomach followed.

“Arghhh!!” I screamed in pain. “It wasn't me, father.” I pleaded.

“You dare call my wife a liar, you wretched thing! I keep you in my house and this is how you repay me? Killing my true heir! You will wish you were never born.” He spat, spite and intense hatred audible in his voice.

I groaned and arched my body as pain spread through my receptors. Each kick was harder than the last. Tears rolled down my eyes as I begged him to stop.

“I didn't do it, father. Please believe me!”

“I am not your father, you Mongrel.” He growled before landing another kick to my ribs. “I could never birth a curse of nature like you, ungrateful mutt.”

Father might have kicked me to death if Beta Blake didn't come running to my rescue that minute.

“Alpha! Stop, you are killing her!” He immediately stood between my writhing body and my father.

“This daughter of a whore pushed my wife and now our baby is lost! Do you know how long it took Lyra to conceive?” he barked.

Blake turned to me, the expression on his face took away any little hope I had. Not even him could save me this time.

“You know the punishment for murder. Guards! Take her out to the gallows and hang her!” Alpha Garrick commanded.

My own father, without hesitation, had sentenced me to death for a crime I didn't commit.

“Wait! You cannot do that!” Blake objected.

Alpha Garrick growled. “Are you challenging my order, Blake?”

Blake waved his head. “No, Alpha. But today is the festival of the Genesis Accord, so you cannot take a werewolf life.” He reminded him.

“A werewolf?” My father scoffed. “She is a tainted blood, an abomination!” He spat.

As he walked back to help his Luna up, he turned to the guards again. “Throw her in the dungeons, I want her hanging as soon as the festival is over tonight!” He ordered.

Blake stood there silently while the guards dragged me up, I kept pleading my innocence but my father did not spare me a glance.

I caught Lyra's smirk just before I was taken away. My stepmother had finally succeeded in getting rid of me; bullying me throughout the year was not enough, she wanted me dead.

As the guards threw me into the cell, I couldn't decide between the stench of the blood and rotten flesh, which was worse.

I pushed myself to the edge of the cell, holding my stomach. While I didn't have a wolf, I still retained some wolf abilities like fast healing.

“Are you alright?” Blake asked as he approached the cell.

I wiped away the tears. “Does it matter? I am going to die by sundown.”

Blake sighed. “Your father is very angry right now, I will try to change his mind during the festival.” He said in a voice that was in no way reassuring.

I crawled to the iron bars immediately. “I didn't do it Blake, you have to believe me. Lyra framed me, I just came into the room on her request and she threw herself on the floor screaming.” I said in tears.

Blake shook his head, a look of helplessness etched in his face.

“I believe you, Sera. But we both know your father will always support his Luna. I have to go now, but I will try my best to save your life.” He promised as he walked away.

Blake was the only one at the Pack house who cared for me since my mother's death. He had saved me from my father's fury more times than I could count, but I feared not this time.

For the past two years, I have been beaten, assaulted, bullied, mocked and despised by my own family, but it wasn't always like that.

For the first fifteen years of my life, everything was perfect. I was the Alpha's beloved daughter, his heir and next in line. Until my sixteenth birthday, when the full moon came but I failed to shift.

The Alpha's daughter had no wolf! And from that moment, my life never remained the same.

Father accused mother of infidelity and had her hanged with silver chains till she gave up the ghost. I still remember watching her body dangle for days before Beta Blake convinced my father to take it down and bury her.

As for me, my father hated me, not just for being a Half-breed but as a reminder of my mother's alleged infidelity. And when he married Lyra a few weeks after mom's death, she took advantage of his hatred for me.

Lyra would make me work with the pack servants, and even starve me at times. She had my father in her palm and he would always agree with her. I couldn't complain to anyone, I became the Alpha's most hated slave.

My only crime was not having a wolf. The moon goddess taunts me, she must hate me too.

As I sat down there, sitting in waiting for a most certain death, tears rolled down my eyes. And it hurt more knowing my death came at the hands of my own family.

Kael's POVTaking away a person's freewill was one of the most difficult things for me to do. Although having the ability as an Alpha to keep the pack in line, I promised myself I would not use such humiliating powers on anyone. But for her own sake, I had to do it. I was surprised when it failed for the first time in my life.“Half-breed?” I muttered in surprise upon hearing her words. The Alpha's daughter, my MATE was a Half-breed?She quickly walked up to me. “Why do you not want me, Alpha Kael? Is it because I am a Half-breed?” She asked.I could see the sadness in her eyes. My rejection had hurt her, but she wouldn't have felt any of that if the Alpha Voice had worked. Now I feel guilty.“Seraphina, I didn't even know you were a Half-breed before now.” I answered honestly.“Please do not send me away, I cannot return to my Pack as my father would kill me.”I thought she meant that figuratively until Varköl whispered in my head that he had freed her from a dungeon.“Why does the A

Seraphina's POV I groaned and opened my eyes; slowly at first, trying to get used to the light coming in from the window. My body ached like I had been dragged through hell.It was morning. I sighed, staring at the ceiling, before it dawned on me that something was wrong.I sat up immediately and saw that I was in a strange bedroom. It smelled like lavender and garlic. Where was I?I looked to my left and just then I saw a man sleeping on the bed beside me. I jumped off the bed immediately, feeling confused and scared.Am I dead?I looked around the room, it was a luxurious home and there was no such structure in my Pack.I slowly climbed back up on the bed to take a closer look at the sleeping man.My jaw dropped at his beauty; he had dark tousled hair, with strands brushing against his forehead. And his lashes; long, dark, indecently pretty—cast shadows against his cheeks.High cheekbones, strong jawline dusted with the faintest hint of stubble, and lips so perfectly carved they al

  • The Demon Alpha's Half-Breed Mate   Her Demon Mate

Kael's POVI looked out of the window as my Beta, Jose drove into the New Dawn Pack house. I had been feeling strange ever since we got into their territory. We had come for the Festival of the Genesis Accord which they were hosting this year.I am not usually one to attend these events. I prefer to stay behind my tall fence and iron gate, but Jose had convinced me to attend this year as it was going to be my turn to host next year and if I didn't at least attend one, it wouldn't be received well by the council. The festival of the Genesis Accord was a yearly party held to celebrate the peace pact made between the ten packs of the Northern Kingdom nine years ago. Before the treaty, there had been a lot of enmity between the packs, resulting in constant bloodshed and disputes. So the council came up with a way we could all coexist in harmony with no unnecessary deaths. It was called the Genesis Accord because it was the beginning of everything peaceful.“We are here.” Jose announced as

I could hear the sound of music thumping on the floor above the dungeons. The festival of the Genesis Accord must have begun already.“Tsk tsk tsk… I always knew this was how you would end,” Daniel taunted me from outside the cell.He was one of the guards watching me and the two of us had a history. Last year, Daniel had tried to force himself on me, I screamed but when my father came in, Daniel lied that I was the one who got onto him.Of course, my father believed him and called me a whore.“You are just like your mother, ready to jump on the first man you see.” Alpha Garrick had said to me.Right now Daniel was gloating over my battered body, this must be a fun sight for him to watch.I heard footsteps on the stairs coming down to the underground cell and I looked up, hoping it was Blake; maybe he had convinced my father to let me go.But the hope in my eyes died when I saw Lyra walk i
