Seraphina's POV

I groaned and opened my eyes; slowly at first, trying to get used to the light coming in from the window.

My body ached like I had been dragged through hell.

It was morning. I sighed, staring at the ceiling, before it dawned on me that something was wrong.

I sat up immediately and saw that I was in a strange bedroom. It smelled like lavender and garlic. Where was I?

I looked to my left and just then I saw a man sleeping on the bed beside me. I jumped off the bed immediately, feeling confused and scared.

Am I dead?

I looked around the room, it was a luxurious home and there was no such structure in my Pack.

I slowly climbed back up on the bed to take a closer look at the sleeping man.

My jaw dropped at his beauty; he had dark tousled hair, with strands brushing against his forehead. And his lashes; long, dark, indecently pretty—cast shadows against his cheeks.

High cheekbones, strong jawline dusted with the faintest hint of stubble, and lips so perfectly carved they almost didn’t seem real.

He was bare from the waist up, and I shamelessly let my gaze trail over the lean, sculpted lines of his chest. I was almost tempted to feel those abs.

I had to gently poke his face to make sure he was real. He sighed and slowly opened his eyes, waking up to me in his face.

The man jumped off the bed immediately, startled. “Who are you? How did you get in here?” He queried, the confusion etched on his face was obvious.

He immediately grabbed a jacket from the coat stand and threw it over his perfectly sculpted body.

So he was a real man? His beauty had left me dumbstruck.

“How should I know? I don't even know where here is.” I answered his questions honestly, instantly coming back to my senses.

Where is my sense of alert when I need it?

The man stared at me with keen eyes and then he looked away. “It's not possible.” He muttered.

“What's not possible?” I asked innocently, getting down from the bed.

“I am not talking to you.” He waved me off and walked to the window.

I folded my arms, feeling confused. If he wasn't speaking to me, then who?

“Are you real?” I asked the one question ringing in my head.

He looked at me with a crumpled face. “You are asking too many questions, can I just get a few seconds, please?” He huffed, the frustration evident on his face.

“Okay,” I mouthed dejectedly and took a step back.

Wait. What if this was a hallucination?

In my nearly eighteen years of living, I had never seen a man so beautiful.

“Our mate?” I heard him mutter to himself.

My jaw dropped and my eyes widened. That was when the memory from last night returned to my mind.

The monster that had saved me, it was him?

I doubted the possibility of that. Unless I was imagining things, I had been saved by a demon.

I immediately became nervous

He finally turned back to me and stepped closer. “I am sorry about this. I am Alpha Kael, and kidnapping my mate wouldn't be my first idea if I was in control when we sensed you.”

At his confirmation, my face lit up with a smile and my heart leaped in joy at the idea of being mated to this man. His name; Alpha Kael, was somewhat familiar but I couldn't place it.

Being mated to an Alpha… Was this my reward for all the suffering I had to endure? And I thought the moon goddess hated me.

I couldn't feel the mate bond, but I figured it was due to the fact that I was yet to turn eighteen; I still had a few weeks until my birthday.

“My name is Seraphina, I am Alpha's Garrick's daughter.” I quickly introduced myself, although finding the words difficult to say.

Knowing I was related to that man after everything he had done to me was another torture.

“Oh,” he muttered with a change of expression and then he turned away again.

I guessed he was talking with his Wolf and that amazed me. As a Half-breed, I couldn't tell what that felt like. I always imagined having another voice in my head.

It seemed like they were arguing and I wondered if it was about my father. The fear of being rejected again was already growing in my heart.

I was beginning to get impatient and so I rushed towards him.

“I don't like my father either!” I said quickly.

He came closer to me and examined my face. “You seem like a nice girl, Sera. Which is why I hate to do this, but it’s for the best. You will probably not even remember.”

My heart began to race. “Not remember what?” I muttered as I stepped back, fear grappling me.

He followed and soon my back was against the wall. “You cannot stay.” He said abruptly, a look of finality in his eyes.

I felt my heart drop in disappointment. He was going to reject me?

“Please,” I begged. “Don’t do it.” My eyes were already shimmering with tears.

He held my jaw and raised my head to face him, I saw his eyes glow red and I froze.

“Seraphina, you are going to forget that you were ever here or that you saw me. You will return to your pack and continue to live your life, none of this ever happened.” He commanded in his Alpha voice.

There was a bit of regret in his eyes as he turned around to leave the room.

Sadly, I took a quick step forward. “Why do you not want me?” I queried.

He froze, turning back to face me with confusion in his eyes. “Okay… That is not supposed to happen” he mumbled.

I sighed. “I am a Half-breed, Alpha Kael. The Alpha voice does not work on me.” I announced to his surprise.

I guess he hadn't figured that one out yet. As much as it hurt, I wasn’t surprised that he was rejecting me. I always knew that if the day came, my mate would reject me. Which sane Alpha would take a weak Half-breed as mate?

  • The Demon Alpha's Half-Breed Mate   Her Demon Mate

Kael's POVI looked out of the window as my Beta, Jose drove into the New Dawn Pack house. I had been feeling strange ever since we got into their territory. We had come for the Festival of the Genesis Accord which they were hosting this year.I am not usually one to attend these events. I prefer to stay behind my tall fence and iron gate, but Jose had convinced me to attend this year as it was going to be my turn to host next year and if I didn't at least attend one, it wouldn't be received well by the council. The festival of the Genesis Accord was a yearly party held to celebrate the peace pact made between the ten packs of the Northern Kingdom nine years ago. Before the treaty, there had been a lot of enmity between the packs, resulting in constant bloodshed and disputes. So the council came up with a way we could all coexist in harmony with no unnecessary deaths. It was called the Genesis Accord because it was the beginning of everything peaceful.“We are here.” Jose announced as

I could hear the sound of music thumping on the floor above the dungeons. The festival of the Genesis Accord must have begun already.“Tsk tsk tsk… I always knew this was how you would end,” Daniel taunted me from outside the cell.He was one of the guards watching me and the two of us had a history. Last year, Daniel had tried to force himself on me, I screamed but when my father came in, Daniel lied that I was the one who got onto him.Of course, my father believed him and called me a whore.“You are just like your mother, ready to jump on the first man you see.” Alpha Garrick had said to me.Right now Daniel was gloating over my battered body, this must be a fun sight for him to watch.I heard footsteps on the stairs coming down to the underground cell and I looked up, hoping it was Blake; maybe he had convinced my father to let me go.But the hope in my eyes died when I saw Lyra walk i

Seraphina's POV“She has killed my baby! The witch has killed my baby!”That was my stepmom screaming on the floor. And me? I just stood there, too stunned to speak. With such acting skills, she could probably make it big in Hollywood. Seconds ago, Lyra; my father's Luna had called me into her room, and while I had expected nothing good, I didn't imagine she would straight up accuse me of murder. When my father; Alpha Garrick, rushed into the room the next second, I knew at that very moment— my life was over.“Lyra! Are you alright?” He rushed to her. “What happened?” He asked, fear in his eyes.“The baby, Garrick. I cannot feel him anymore, your unborn heir is dead and it was all her doing. She pushed me and I fell on my stomach, now the baby is gone.” Fake tears poured down her eyes as she pointed at me.My jaws dropped in shock. What?My father turned to face me immediately, anger burning in his yellow eyes. “You Half-breed bastard!” He got up immediately.“She is lying, father!”
